I-10 thru Pensacola

Hi,
I'm hoping some FL panhandle residents will be able to answer this. How is the interstate thru Pensacola? I know it was all messed up last year during Ivan and I'm trying to figure out how long it will take us to get thru.
I'm leaving Slidell around 11:00am and was hoping to be at the FL Welcome Center just before Pensacola around 2pm. Taking my 2 grandsons, 3 & 4 yrs old and I was going to have a little picnic lunch at the welcome center. They sure do love those planes!!
anyways, do you think I'll be past Tallahassee before rush hour traffic? I sure hope so.

I'll be interested in the answer for this one too - hadn't thought about that for our trip in June!!

By the way, Darlene9947, we'll be passing through Slidell too - we live in Bush (right outside of Covington)!!!! Nice to "meet" someone who lives so close!!!

From what I remember others saying, it is one lane Eastbound and two lanes Westbound. This was a couple of months ago and it may have changed but I think traffic is still slowing down a little at the bridge. Although there aren't major traffic problems right now.

I am so glad you asked this!! I was just going to post it..

We'll be going through there on HOPEFULLY the 18th... maybe the 19th.. depends if DS can get off work!
