It’s been great, it has! But the most crowded August I’ve ever seen! I think Disney should implement new signs that read “stay to the right” and have red light /green light at all sidewalk intersections. Plus now they close early so your forced to enjoy the parks in daytime hours of unbearable heat. I can’t wait to get home tomorrow!

We felt the same way last December. After 16 yearly trips filled with magic, last year was the first time we felt that way. Everyday had an inconveniece/problem that Disney created. When brought to Disneys attention, the problems were not properly addressed. CMs read pre-written answers off a piece of paper. The crowds were unbelievable and it felt like the magic was gone. We couldnt wait to get home.

My mind is already working on what to try new for next summer. It’s just too expensive now for what it is. We had fun, but in my opinion the best way to experience Disney is become a local and come at “slower” times and pop in for a couple hours here and there! Trying to enjoy it in 7-10 days is exhausting.

I realized when we headed home after our last trip that I wasn’t sad to be leaving. I loved staying at the Poly but didn’t love going to the parks. We used our fast passes and left. It was too crowded to enjoy. I can stand the heat, I had trouble keeping up with my husband in the crowd. No fun

Same! You can’t even walk around and enjoy, it’s just too crowded!

Try Disneyland in California. It is much better. I think you'd like it.

I’d like to try Disneyland one day, I live in NY so if i make the treck over to CA I’d like to do more than just Disney...I have time to think about it. I’d even consider going to Disneyworld and not going into the parks. Maybe doing universal. Or maybe stay on the coast to have a beach vacation! There’s lots of options..almost anything in fact, even Europe will be the same price as Disney at this point!

Depending on how many people's airfare you're covering, Europe might actually be cheaper. I recently did the math and realized that as a solo traveler it would cost me $1,000 less to do a week in Disneyland Paris than a trip of the same length to Walt Disney World, even taking the higher airfare into account (and that's based on real numbers from past and upcoming trips to both). And then of course a week in London can be a little bit cheaper still--not as much cheaper as you'd hope, though, if you want a hotel (not a hostel) in a good location.

Take a family of four, though, and that airfare racks up a whole lot faster.
