I’ve been waiting 4 1/2 years to go to Disney..a May 2-9 2010 PTR...TR started!

Hey Kayce....you have put into words my exact thoughts. I am so excited for this trip, but on the same trip I wish I had more time to get ready for it! As I also sit here on the computer!:rotfl:

Don't worry about the flying...you will be so focussed on your daughter and the excitement of the trip, you won't even have time to get worried!;)

We can do it! I figure if something does not get done, oh well. She has other clothes/shoes/bows she can wear! :rotfl:

Hi Kayce! Sorry for being MIA! Your trip is getting so close now. :goodvibes Love all the cute stuff you've made for Bella. I haven't completed any of my projects yet but I hope to this weekend. ;) I have all the things I need and just need to sit down and make it happen.

BTW, I'm not a fan of flying either. It's just anxiety and I refuse to let the girls see it but inside my heart races the entire time I'm on a plane. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Thanks! Sitting down and getting started is half the battle. I have been getting a lot done lately but it has taken its toll on the state of my house. :rotfl:

As for the plane, I bought the whole first season of Glee so hopefully Bella will fall asleep/get busy on her Leapster/be watching her own DVD so I can zone out and watch...and forget I am flying!

Its really easy... Just time consuming. I dont like how she said to ruffle though. She uses elastic thread for it, and I prefer using dental floss. It just slides so much easier! I finally finished my oldest DDs princess dress. I made it out of the simply sweet halter top.. then I did a double layer skirt, and sinched it up like Belles. It took FOREVER!! And I broke two needles on my sewing machine doing it. But it turned out super cute! I might add a butt bow to it.

Good to know! And I of course need to see pics of that Belle dress!

Embroidery machine--would be great, I agree! Have you check craigslist? I am looking forward to reading your FB status updates--are you going to be using your cell phone?

Just breathe--you will be okay flying!! :woohoo: for Bella being tall enough!!! How exciting--now she can definitely get on some of the bigger rides!! :woohoo:

:cheer2: :cheer2: 14 days left!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Yes I have been checking Craigslist on and off. I am going to start going to auctions too I think. A friend got a serger for 20.00 at one! I want in on that!!! :rotfl:

Yes I will be using my cell to update FB. My sis will also have her laptop but I don't know if we will get wireless or not...I have no idea how much it costs extra at POR. Do you know? :confused3

I also looked into the kids stay play and dine free, but the 35% was a better deal for us. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, though! :goodvibes

:woohoo: for Bella reaching 40 inches! So what rides does that open up?

The main ones she wants to get on that are 40 are BTMRR, Soarin, Test Track, and Splash. She is very excited about all of those. It also opens ToT and Dinosaur, but she's a little iffy on those. I will completely leave the decision up to her. I am not going to push her on but I also will not tell her no if she decides she really wants to. I have told her what both are about, and as of now I think she is leaning towards no for both.

Yay Bella! :banana::banana::banana:

Thank Goodness!!!! :cloud9: She would have been very disappointed to miss out on some of the ones above!

Excellent...that's MOST rides, right?

The only rides in all four parks she cannot ride are: Space Mountain, Mission: Space, EE, Primevel Whirl, and RnRC. She doesn't want to ride those, anyway! :cool2:

I have been meaning to ask this for anyone going after us: Does anyone need a Fairy Godmailer? I would be more than happy to send out a couple of postcards if anyone needs them. PM me and let me know!:goodvibes

Kayce - Excuse the stupid 101 question here. I've seen a few threads on this fairy godmailer thing but I'm not sure what this means. I've worked out that you volunteer to send kids some mail from WDW - preferably with a picture of their favourite character. I've even gathered that you can buy character postcards from a number of shops. I gather that you then mail it out with the kid's name and address. But what happens in between? Do you sign it on behalf of the character or do you go looking for the character and ask them to sign it? If you sign it, what do you write on the card?

Again apologies for the 101 question - but what can I say? Australian princess::upsidedow; and it's not something that we do....

The one Bella got from a friend of mine that went just had the princesses on the front and said something like, "We heard you were coming to visit! We can't wait to meet you in May!" It just got her all excited that the princesses were waiting to see her. It was cute and she enjoyed it, so I thought I would pass the Pixie Dust along. :goodvibes Don't apologize! I would never have thought of it either if it weren't for the boards...ask away!

Yay for Bella being tall enough for all those rides! :cheer2:

I know just how excited she feels, before our trip in 2006 Jared was desperate to be tall enough to ride RnRC. He was having me measure him so often that I finally just put a mark on the wall and told him 'you have to be this tall to ride'. Almost daily I would see him going over to the mark on the wall to see if he had hit it yet. It was close, but he made it and rode RnRC 3 times that trip! To say that he was excited is very much an understatement!

Hooray for Bella!! :cool1:

We are breathing sigh of relief! She has had her eye on those rides the whole time we've been planning! :cheer2:

That's a cute story! I'm glad he made it. BTMRR will be her first "real" rollercoaster, so I'm excited to see how she likes it!

A bit behind but all caught up now :thumbsup2 Easter pics look like lots of fun was had :thumbsup2 Really like the AK outfit can’t wait to see the pictures of the outfit being worn. All the sewing is looking fab and really creative well done :flower3:

My three week dance along is a little late you are nearly at 2 weeks :dance3::dance3::dance3:

How exciting for Bella to be tall enough for the rides she wants to do :cheer2:

Just keep in your mind I'll be at disney soon, I'll be at disney soon when you are flying, sorry to hear that you don't really do flying well, all that stress will be worth it when you drive through those gates :goodvibes

Yeah for Bella! I'm happy she won't have to miss any good rides. Make sure she knows Dinosaur is very loud and dark. The youtube videos don't really do it justice. I was 31 and way over 40 inches but is scared the crap out of me.

Thanks Kayce. Mmmm...I don't think the Fairy Godmailer concept translates well for the Aussies; but it might work.

Whooo hooo for 40 inches!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

40 inches is definitely THE major milestone for the kids. It opens up so many rides!

My son just hit 44 inches. On his last trip 2 years ago he was under 40 inches, so for him this trip is going to open up a TON of rides. In addition to all the 40 inch rides, he will also get to ride Mission Space, Space Mountain and Everest!!!

Thanks! Yes it will be worth it! I will have to keep reminding myself of that!

That is good to know. Maybe I will talk her out of that one. It doesn't sound like something she would enjoy. She probably will decide not to, anyway.

Yeah it is a cute idea. We still have our postcard on the fridge. Just another way to get excited for a trip!

So there are really only two rides he can't ride, RnRC and Primevel Whirl. Good for him! I hope he enjoys them all. I LOVED Space Mountain from the first time I rode it--as soon as I was tall enough!

TWO WEEKS!

party:party:party:party:party:

I just got off the phone with Disney Dining. I confirmed all of our reservations and took my nephew off of the CRT and F! package meals. I asked her about only having 7 instead of 8 at the rest and she said just let them know at the podium when we get there and it shouldn't be an issue. So we are all set to go as far as eating is concerned! Bring on the food (and especially the desserts)!
