You have been selected to participate in a WDW survey to help management boost attendance at Hollywood Studios during this massive construction. The first mission is to set a temporary price for a one day pass without losing money. List any ideas you hove that are fiscally realistic.

I don't believe in lower the price because then you set a precedence to lower the price every time a major project is going on which is something Disney isn't going to do. What I would do is not have tiers in affect for DHS. Just keep it at the standard $100 or whatever it is.

Looking at it I have to agree with Ryan. Rather than focusing on ticket prices alone open it up to anything. The Star Wars fireworks was a step in the right direction.

I agree lowering the base ticket price is a bit problematic. However, there are other ways to provide "financial incentives" for those who go to DHS to gain an attendance boost. They could send coupons to your MDE account when you're in the park (20% off a meal at a DHS restaurant, a couple of free Mickey bars or other "snack" eligible items, merchandise related coupons, etc.).

On the experience side...I'd flood the park with lots of character meet & greets - particularly with normally very rare characters - but not under any kind of schedule. They would come out randomly in various and random spots. So you'll want to be there, walking about the park because you never know who will appear and when. In today's instant-notification, social media world...it will not take long for word to get out and generate a buzz.

Now that would work.

I agree with the thoughts so far - you can't really lower the price, and if you did how would that work on people with multi-day passes? Park hoppers?

I also like the idea of making the experience special for guests - with more characters/rare characters as one way to do it. Probably other things - special giveaways with meals or other giveaways ... special limited merchandise. I'd up the frequency of things like the Citizens of Hollywood and other shows

Wonder if they could do something were if you sit through a preview or something of what is to come (Star Wars Land, Toy Story Land, etc.) they give you a pass that can be used once those lands are compete to get you to the front of the line or something (like an advanced bonus FP or something) to get you excited about what is to come

An advanced FP for things to come. I can only imagine the havoc that would cause. Maybe a pin or something "from the new land" but a FP would be problematic.

I would overlap fantasmic and the star wars fireworks so you can't do both in 1 night and need a park hopper.. oh wait that's what they did ..

I would just remove most of frozen and put in star wars.. oh wait...

in all honestly, that park isn't empty or close to it.. you don't need to do anything and i'm a little shocked by it.. then again it still has more attractions than AK, and not much really closed, the big 4 popular rides are all opened (for now before they quick refurb rnr).. most only go in for those rides anyway.. who doesn't love fireworks which it has the nice new fancy upgraded technology show for that..

Imagine if they took one car a day from Star Tours and gave those people a pass to a special hard ticket event to preview Star Wars land when it opens. They could control how many tickets are given out and list the days they will be distributed, then hand them out in a similar way to when they had the year of a million dreams give aways.

What would those tickets sell for on ebay?

Add a decent counter service restaurant. DHS is the only park that we will leave when we're ready to eat so we time our visit accordingly.

The Brown Deby Lounge is now our go to - no ADR's, really good food and drink, not crazy expensive (less than a table service but is more than typical counter service)

The park doesn't seem empty because there isn't a lot for people to do. That's why it looks crowded. Overall attendance for the park isn't great by any means.

We had plenty to do on our DHS day last week - and we didn't ride RnRC or ToT.

I do wish there was some spacing between the Star Wars fireworks and Fantasmic. Other than that, more characters would be great.

I just looked at their menu. Looks like they only have 6 items, so not much of a selection, and nothing that would appeal to my crew. There are a couple of items I'd be okay with (depending on what the soup is) but I don't think DW would want anything and definitely nothing for DD.

I think in the case of Hollywood studios a ticket price decrease would be more then warrented due to the size and scope of the construction.....I dont understand why that would be considered anything other then in proportion to what is occuring

it definitely is a small menu - so if there is nothing there you would want then obviously not an option.

We loved the sliders and the kids inhaled the crispy bites so works well enough for us. We also only go every couple of years typically so small menu is ok

I guess I still don't see how all that much is closed - last trip we spent an entire day there and still didn't see everything. I think you can "feel" the construction - especially over by Pizza Rizzo so offering some "bonus" things would be good to help people feel better about it all

And I don't see how price reductions would work on multi-day tickets (which I think is what most guests have) or with park hoppers, etc.

Price reductions could only be for one day one park.

On our last trip I walked to the designated smoking area where the stunt show used to be. Two cast members stopped me and told me the area was closed and the only thing down that way was a dead end. I just flashed my pack of Marlboros like a badge and the let me pass.

I just saw that Santa is doing a meet & greet at HS. Coincidence?

This is what I was thinking. Even if they were on a schedule of some sort, it would be great to get to see characters you normally can't. And maybe bring back some of the ones for a while that they don't have any more because the TV shows are gone (Phineas & Ferb maybe).
