used the wrong points for a reservation

I'm not quite sure how this happened, but I want to see if MS will be able to help fix (and apparently they are closed today).

I accidently used the wrong points in a reservation.

I have 95 banked points, which I intended to use for a trip in April. However, somehow only 45 of the banked points are being used in that trip (even thought it is over 100 points for the trip). I have scheduled another visit for Dec, which used the rest of the banked points.

I would rather all the banked points be used in for the earlier trip in April. If I call MS will they be able to move the points so all of the banked points are used in April, and the current use year points are used in Dec? (without cancelling the Dec trip). I realize I could cancel the Dec trip and rebook both trips to do this myself, but I don't want to risk cancelling the Dec trip, I don't want to risk it not being available to rebook. Anyway to do this without cancelling Dec?

I recently had a similar issue but with multiple contracts and when I called they were able to change the reservation to use the points from a different contract. They told me that as long as the reservation was more than 30 days out it should not be a problem.
 
If you have enough points left in other contracts that do not have banked points they will be able to fix it as long as both reservations were made within 7 months.

In fact you could probably do it yourself (unless the system locked the contracts like it sometimes does). You/they could modify the reservation that is using the banked points to use a different contract only, freeing up the contract with the banked points. Then you could modify the reservation that you want to use the banked points and it will grab the banked points and use them first. Then you can re-modify the original reservation back to whatever contracts you want it to use.

This is one of the benefits I have found of having multiple home resorts and multiple contracts.

If however, you do not have any other contracts I do not know if they will be able to help. I don't think they have a way to move just the banked/borrowed points from different reservations other than the same ways we do. (Other than being able to unlock a reservation when the contract choices get mistakenly locked on a 7 month reservation)
 
Since your banked points are in another reservation, they can’t swap them between the two unless there is still availability for your December reservation for them to book with other points.

You can certainly try and ask, but the only way points can be moved into a reservation is they need to be freed up.

If there is still availability in December and you have the points, book that trip again, cancel the initial, modify and reallocate all banked points into April.

Just be sure that all contracts that have banked points are checked.
