I recently stayed a few nites at the Hyatt Place right at the US entrance, and wanted to share my experience. Was on a bit of a budget this year, so wasn't able to stay onsite, but wanted to be close. There wasn't much info I could find on Hyatt Place (reviews, etc), so I was a bit nervous as the few things I did read had negative remarks about the bathrooms, and a few other things I can't remember off the top of my head.
This hotel is GREAT! They are remodeling all the bathrooms. I don't know if I had a recently remodeled room or an older room, but thought everything about our room was so nice! We had two large beds, along with a comfortable sofa that turned into a surprisingly comfortable bed. I've had two neck surgeries this past year, and I'm about 4 months pregnant, and I was quite comfortable sleeping on the pull out. --- I was nice and gave baby brother and sister the beds
--- The separate toilet/shower area from the sink/vanity area was really nice, the bro could shower while sis and I got makeup/hair/etc ready.. There is also a large mirror with a sink/vanity above the fridge, so I used that alot of the time. There is a large desk in the fridge area as well.
I've NEVER had a hotel room as clean as this room. I've never walked without flip flops on a hotel floor before (seriously, never) but was fine here. I can't stress how clean my room was! The whole hotel was actually quite clean, even the dining area which at past hotels got cluttered during the morning, was always being swept or wiped down by someone.
My only remark that may be construed as negative, even though it's not, is that the food room is a little small for the large amount of people trying to get in, but I only experienced that one day when we went down at 9:15 and I think there was a big rush to get in before closing at 9:30.
All in all, I will definitely be staying at the Hyatt again, and will be recommending it to anyone that asks!
Just remembered right before I posted so thought I would add, we didn't use the pool at all, but thought that it looked a little tiny. I only ever saw one person swimming.
