You probably did the right thing letting them sleep in but it sure blows the day doesn't it? You can get so much done if you get there early.
You FOTLK pics are great, I was sick when we saw it last summer so it's nice to see some of what happened the show....

I'm glad Danielle decided to ride Dinosaur. I really like it but Shocker thinks it's too jerky...

Sleeping in was best for everyone else but me the worry wart. I'm sorry you missed FOTLK, we love it? Danielle was very proud of herself. I agree with Shocker it is jerky but I still enjoy it. LSU did great we won 31-10!

I'm a big fan of the Nemo show now. Tena fell asleep in every show. The girls loved their gifts!

Hi Tanya! You got it right, but we did find something on the last day she absolutely loved! I haven't touched on the drama for the day yet, just wait.

I want to try and post some more today, but right now we have to leave for Nutcracker practice. Danielle is going to be a mouse and has practice every Sunday until they perform the weekend before Christmas.

How did you it go with your ADRs?

After exiting FOTLK we did what everyone else does used the facilities and lined up for characters. At this point the only character Bailey needed was Donald. Even though Danielle hadn't meet Mickey or Minnie she wasn't interested in waiting, she did wait for Donald.

As we headed towards Discovery Island we found Lilo and Stitch. On our first day at AK we had waited but lost patience so this was a must do for Bailey. They were set up across from Pizzafari instead of at Island Mercantile. I think this was due to the ropes going up for the parade. At this point I wanted to separate. I had told Tena at the beginning of the day I wanted to do some shopping since this was our last day at this park and Danielle really wanted to use her birthday card. So what to do? My daughter wanted to shop, hers wanted to meet characters and she wanted to smoke. What do you think happened? At this point I think I have gone above and beyond with helping with Bailey so she could have her breaks, but at some point my child has to come first. So I took Danielle shopping, Bailey stayed to meet Lilo and Stitch and Tena left her daughter by herself so she could go smoke. I told Bailey I would be back as soon as I could. I rushed Danielle through shopping. She of course bought some more of the cheap pins to trade and finally found the drum she had been looking for. We had to get one small enough to fit in the suitcase for the flight home. I also finally broke down and bought Dennis an AK shirt. He's real picky. It not as good as the one he's gotten in the past but it was the best I could find. It was getting closer to the parade so I staked us out a bench in front of the store across from ITTBAG. I planted Danielle there and ran back to find Bailey. Believe it or not I made it back to Bailey before Tena did. She was sitting on a bench in front of Pizzafari and was not a happy camper. Believe it or not she got mad at me and not her mother.

Gathering the group once more we sat down on our bench to wait for the parade. I haven't seen this parade since Thanksgiving Day 2002. And once again I have some swap stuff I need to use so I didn't want to miss it again. We always seem to leave before the parade. Danielle doesn't remember ever seeing it so she was excited too. We still had a while and I noticed there was no wait for ITTBAB. I wanted to go see it but Danielle doesn't like this one at all. Tena didn't want to do anymore shows, but Bailey was game for anything. So we had the hike through the tree and down into the theater. We didn't have to wait long for our show. I didn't say anything or try to warn Bailey. She's so brave. Overall she did really well and only grabbed me a few times, by the end she was sitting very close to me. The best part was at the end when the bugs exited the theater. She jumped sky-high. She's such and good sport and had a laugh about the whole thing. She could wait to get back and tell her mom. Danielle would never have taken it as well as Bailey. She's done this will us a few time and just tolerates it.

We we got back to our bench Tena and Danielle were enjoying a cool lemonade treat. Due to getting up late, eating breakfast late and the heat no one ever got hungry for lunch. So of course Bailey and I needed a cool treat too. After everyone was cooled off somewhat we had the girls go up to the front by the rope to watch the parade. We stayed back as the crowd grew I use the bench to help supplement my shortness of height. My only draw back was one really tall guy who always seemed to be in my way, he also had a bald head. Since I hadn't seen it in years I really enjoyed it with all the bright colors and music. I took lots of pictures.

After the parade it was time to go back and rest before dinner. Danielle's birthday dinner was to be at 1900 Park Fare and she was really looking forward to this. I forgot to mention that due to LSU winning the night before I was once again sporting my team colors. I wore my LSU MOM shirt that Michelle got me at her Freshman orientation. The only picture I have of me in it was when we were leaving and you can't see it since Danielle is standing in front of me. I was also the crazy person who yelled "GEAUX TIGERS!" every time I saw another supporting sporting purple and gold. I have to admit I did see more people sporting Texas Longhorns wear than LSU wear. I also minded my manners and didn't shout "Tiger Bait" when I saw them. Tiger Bait is more of a football chat anyway.
