"Hurry & fly away to Neverland before it's too late!" Trip wrap up page 30

Signing the register! Do you have any rooms left in the 60's section? Something close to Everything POP if possible.

I just got through page one. I noticed we did have a bit of overlap on some days. I'll be scouring the photos now looking for a rediculously heavy backbapack in the background. Can't wait to read more! I hope to catch up by the end of today.

I gotta give props to DH for letting his little princess go without him. That would be a TOUGH one! Would I do it? Of course. Mine have me pretty well wrapped as well. However, I gotta say that I definitely NOT want to me my co workers the week they were away. :sad2:

I'm so glad your sis got to join you for a "once in a lifetime" trip to the World. Until next time....:surfweb:

I knew in the end he couldn't tell her no. Now of course we need to plan a trip he can go.

I love taking someone to Disney for the first time!

The only pictures Danielle took the whole trip.
Okay, for some reason, that just cracked me up.

Sounds like day 1 went quite well. Sorry to hear Coral Reef was a let down! I hear you on the POP stop at the Epcot. Major walking involved!

This is the crew that came out to try and get him to move.
Now that's a job desctiption I'd like to read.

What do you do at Disney? I'm a Safari Rhino Shover II.

This meal was the most fun meal we had the entire trip. Everyone had a blast and I would repeat it again in a heartbeat. It was so great to go from the bad experience at Coral Reef to this.
I'm so glad you enjoyed WCC! We JUST BARELY missed each other! We had the first seating of the day and were shopping in the Merchantile after we ate. We left the resort around 7:30 and caught a boat to Magic Kingdom!

Glad Fantasmic worked out! Love the bus driver story!

Just competed another day. Glad to hear Danielle is once again an Jungle Cruise fan! Kudos to the CM who helped rescure your photo pass pics! O'hana looked amazing as always. Wasn't that peanut sauce 'de bomb! I'm almost caught up. Just couple of pages left to go.

Hi- Found your TR a little late, but I am enjoying it.Your daughter is so cute, how nice to have a girls trip(just a little drama). Can't wait to read more!:goodvibes

Loved it! I'm sorry we missed each other. Fantasmic was great with no crowds. That CM is what makes Disney so great.

All around great day! You've only got 1/2 a day to go.

:welcome: the more the merrier! I think she's cute too but I'm partial. Loved having a girls trip, but I'm ready for another family trip.

I am fully caught up now. I think I remember that day from our trip. We were at AK at the same time you were in the morning. And boy do I EVER remember that rainstorm! :scared1: BUT, it led to something magical. Hoping it does for you too! popcorn::

The rain didn't bring us anything Magical, but I can't wait to read what it brought you. I'll have to look for ya'll in the background of my pictures.

WOOHOO! I am SO trying that one out!

Let me know how it turns out.

When last I left off, we were leaving Animal Kingdom for the last time. I truly wish we had been able to spend more time there. There was so much I wanted to do, but just didn't have time for. That's the thing about summer trips, the heat just really wipes you out. We missed Pangani Forest Trail, Rafiki's Planet Watch, Flights of Wonder, Primeval Whirl and Devine just to name a few. Of course these will be added to the list to do next time. That's what keeps us coming back.

When we got back the girls rushed to the room to see what mousekeeping had done. When we arrived this is what we saw.

We had put the Tinker Belle Birthday banner up when we got there, but they had added the stuffed animals. The girls really got a kick out of it. We took our usual rest before dinner. We had an ADR for 1900 Park Fare for 7:15.

We lined up for the bus for Mk at around 6:15. Once we got to the park we hopped on the resort monorail. This ride was uneventful, no ride up front. We were soon entering The Grand Floridian. Having never been there before we were very impressed. We got there with plenty of time to look around. We hurried downstairs to check in for our dinner. Not knowing exactly where to go it took a little while to find the restaurant. When I booked my trip I was upfront and honest and told the CM that my daughter would be turning 10 while we were there. Because she was 9 when we arrived I was given the child price for her ticket and meal plan. I was also upfront and honest when I booked by ADRs and was told the same thing. When we checked in for ADR I told them 2 adults and 2 children and also mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday, a 10th birthday. I was then told then that would be 3 adults. I explained that's not what I was told when I made the ADRs. After going back and forth with no one getting ugly or upset she finally just said they would record it as 2 adults and 2 kids. Of course along the way I was silently having a panic attack, knowing this would mess up my dining credits. Danielle loved the resort and wants to some day stay there. Of course I told her that wouldn't happen unless we won the lottery, so every week she asks if I bought a ticket. We took these pictures while we waited.

The grand staircase reminded us of the staircase in "The Titanic".

We were soon called for our picture. Notice Danielle wearing the birthday crown. I picked this us before our trip for the girls to take turns wearing.

We were seated in the main dining area right by the food. It was a little crowded and our table seemed to be right next to a major walkway for the characters. I can't remember why but Danielle was already mad at Tena and not in a good mood. Not to long after we were seated the characters were announced. Since they had to go through the first room before getting to us, we jumped up and grabbed some food. Our first character was the Stepmother. She wasn't mean but did ask the girls about their birthdays since they were both wearing buttons. She did tell us we shouldn't teach our kids to lie since it wasn't really Bailey's birthday that night. She wasn't too harsh.

Prince Charming was next.

More to come!

And then Drizzela.

Gotta love that smile!

And then it was time for the dance.

Finally time to meet Cinderella!

And last but not least Anastasia.

We didn't think of anything witty to say to the sisters, but because they were always passing by our table the girls did stop Anastasia once to ask her if she could sing for them. She told them "Can I yes, will I no!" They got a laugh out of that.

Towards the end our waiter brought them a birthday cupcake to share. Of course they were too full so the cupcake was boxed up to be taken back to the room.

A few more pictures of the restaurant.

While we were eating Tena excused herself to use the restroom. She came back to report that it was very small. As we were walking out the girls and I wanted to use the restroom before making our way to the MK. At this point it has started to rain lightly. I thought for sure Tena heard me tell her were going to the bathroom. When we got out we looked for her but couldn't find her anywhere. We looked in the lobby then went upstairs to the monorail stop. I thought she might have gone outside to look for a place to smoke. Finally we called her cell phone. She was on the monorail about to get off at the MK. She thought we had left her. I told her to wait there for us. Once we got on the monorail the sky opened up and it poured. I mean it really started pouring! When we got off the monorail we looked for Tena. She wasn't on the landing so we walked down the ramp a little. Still no Tena and after we got down we couldn't go back up. We made a run for the monorail ramp going back up. By this time it was wall to wall people trying to get out of the MK and on the monrail. We stayed near the bottom of the ramp squeezed in tight with everyone trying to get on the monorail. At this point I called her phone again. "Where are you?" She was at the bus stop for the Pop bus. Great! It's pouring down rain, I have her daughter and her daughter's poncho is with her mother! So I had 3 people and 2 ponchos. Danielle felt sorry for Bailey and gave up her poncho. When it finally let up a little, not much we started walking to the bus stops. By this point we were pretty darn wet. When we got to the start of the bus area Tena met up with us. Why she took off I'll never know for sure but my guess is all she could think about was her after diner cigarette. She knew she could smoke once she got to the bus stop. Why she couldn't have called us when she saw we had separated I'll never know. After getting completely wet the only thing we wanted to do was get back to the room and get ready for bed.

Overall it was a good diner and Danielle wants to repeat it next time. They loved the Stepmother and step-sisters.

Up Next our last day at Epcot.

I just wanted to share that we've booked another trip! I'm so excited. I'm going to call it "Our Disney Do-Over". Both Dennis and Michelle will make this trip along with another sister and niece. We're booked 2/13 thru 2/21 of next year. Only 97 days away. We're also going to make this a surprise trip for Danielle and Lauren.

UGH on getting separated and the smoke breaks! Getting wet is not pleasant either...
How exciting that you have booked another trip! I think you need a do-over!

Getting that wet wasn't fun. Going in the summer you know you'll get wet a least a couple of times.

We're so excited. Danielle and my niece Lauren have no idea yet. They think we're going after Christmas 2010.

Glad you had a lovely meal, my girls love it there but sorry about Tena disappearing and then of course it had to rain when you didn't have all the ponchos :sad2: So pleased you've booked another trip though :goodvibes
