Hurricane Wilma,... Ut-oh!!

Anyone heard any more updates from the sunshine state? Our plane departs Wens from PHL Airport to MCO we should arrive around !:20pm if we get to take off as planned!

We returned home this afternoon from WDW. We left Pop Century at approximately 6:30am to go to the Orlando Airport. That is about the time that the hurricane hit. There was a lot of rain and wind but we were fortunate and made it to the airport ok. Not much traffic on the road....all the toll booths were open (you don't have to pay tolls) until tomorrow morning. All the parks were closed today...Magic Kingdom and Epcot were to reopen to Resort guest only once the hurricane passes. My son is a student at UCF and he told me after we returned home that MK and Epcot did reopen and that AK and MGM will reopen tomorrow. I will say that our resort was very good about keeping everyone updated on the hurricane conditions...I was very impressed.

I was never so glad to get off the ground when we left the Orlando Airport...I was glad to be on my way home. I was surprised that the airport was more crowded than it was. We flew AirTran and when we checked in they asked if we wanted to be put on a direct flight to Akron/Canton instead of a layover in Atlanta....we said yes to that right away....I was anxious to get home!

Good luck to everyone that was down there during the hurricane!
