How many DVC'ers are going to be at the WDW when Mr. Ernesto comes thru? We are scheduled to check in on Thursday when it is suppose to make land fall.

We are arriving on Friday, lets hope Mr Ernesto is not a linger guest! :rotfl2:

We're checking in on Saturday to attend a wedding on Sunday

I'm hoping the uninvited guest will be long gone by then pixiedust:

We're at VWL right now. There must be something wrong with me mentally, because I'm a little excited about it. We'll be checking out on Sat. :dance3:

the hurricane cat. 1 was just down size to a tropical storm... maybe you can have a tropical party now . ;) pixie dust for lots of :sunny: for everyone ! :thumbsup2

Anybody else waiting for the screams of the Free DDP folks when they get "cheated" out of a day of free dining?

We have had more than a few close calls either coming or going. I agree there does seem to be a sense of excitement when a hurricane is on the way. The bartender at BWV pool said, "It's party time!" I guess it is making the best of a bad situation. But how fun would it be to have hurricane party will riding out the storm? We won't be at BWV's until Nov. so slim chance then!

We won't be there, but did stay at PO during hurricane CHarlie last year. You have to give it to disney, we only missed about a half day of activities.c

Wait a second! I'm arriving on Friday!

I did not invite no Ernesto!

Nope, not on my GG list!

We will be arriving on Wednesday from Boston. My only concern is actually getting there. Once we are there, the old saying of "a bad day on vacation beats a good day at work" applies. Can't think of a better place to ride out a storm... Hope for sunshine! :sunny:

Anyone done this before? We're flying in from Chicago for our 5yr anniversary on Thursday morning. Think we'll be ok getting there? I could care less about a rainy day or two, but just need to get there!

I would fly in the day before on Wednesday- The Orlando airport will be closed on Thursday if a hurricane is coming through that day.

We looked into coming in tomorrow as opposed to Wednesday, but because they are not actually cancelling flights yet, we would have to pay the $50 to have our flight changed and then pay the difference in the price of the tickets. For us, it would cost about $190 per person and with 8 people, that is kind of expensive. We'll have to wait and see. It might be worth it to call the airline and see what your situation would cost. Good luck!
