MCO now not closing on Monday. Feel for those who spent all day changes. Got off the Fantasy today and so many are now on the road in rentals iso flying.
They still don't have a "for sure" handle on this hurricane. Anyone planning to travel early/mid this week should be really aware of any updates from MCO, their airlines and local news.
Quite frankly, I'm glad I was wrong and they were able to reverse the decision to close MCO on Monday. I was one of the ones that changed our departure from Monday to Sunday once United offered the waivers, but I'm OK with that decision.... even now. While we lose one park day, the crowds have been light enough that we accomplished more in the days we had here than we expected. It's been a great short stay for us. Also, I was a little worried about having zero margin of error if there was a problem with our flight on Sunday. My wife is a teacher and their school year starts on Tuesday.First thing I said when they announced they were closing was it was way too early to do that. Glad they were able to change it, but no telling how many people cancelled plans that they didn’t need to.
And I saw the track has shifted slightly back west. She just became a Cat 5
I’d wait til the last minute and decide. I wouldn’t make any decisions til tomorrow afternoon.I’m pondering buying a ticket to Monday’s MNSSHP. Either this is genius and no one will be there or this is stupid ... thoughts?
