Hunny even my socks smell like Disney! ~ "relaxing" Sept 2010 trip!1/24/11 RACE TIME!

I HATE departure day...it is so sad.

Your picture in front of the castle and then turning around and being in front the the train station are great. I love them.

I really enjoyed your report, Shannon. Thanks so much for sharing. And congrats again on the race. :thumbsup2

I just make it over and now you're done:confused3 I love the Photopass picture with the Train Station behind. I've never thought of that, but I'm going to try it on the next trip. Departure day is so sad. I always just try to focus on my great memories and the trip report that I get to write;)

I love your blue and green matching shirts!

Casey's is so very delicious. I do not blame you one bit for showing off. You deserved to show off!

I'm sad to see your TR end. It was great!

Man, departure day is always the worst! It makes me so sad. :sad1:

If I would have made it through the 1/2 marathon, I would have worn my medal around everywhere!

It really is the worst!! This was the first time I actually went to a park on my last day and it really helped!!

I loved wearing it, except it had velcro in the back which kept pulling my hair :rotfl:

Thank you :cutie:

Thanks so much for reading along with my report...I am glad you found my TR :goodvibes

Well like they say better late than never :thumbsup2 I think I have become addicted to photopass pictures now :rotfl:

This was my first time writing a TR and it has really helped with re-living the memories of the trip :goodvibes

Thank you - we bought those in the gift shop when you get off of Dinosaur at AK...but realized afterwards they had them in practically every shop at WDW!!

I LOVED Casey's, can't wait to try it again when we go back :goodvibes

Thank you you for reading along!!

That's the trouble with these trip reports- they all have sad endings and everyone goes home.

I did enjoy reading your TR a lot. The race was very interesting reading. I told Jeremy about it, and now he wants to run one together someday. He says we will spend some time training first. I told him no matter how long we train for, I will still probably be in the slowest corral. :rotfl:

Too bad about skipping Peter Pan's Flights. If it's any consolation, most of the guys in my family say it's the silliest ride at Disney and not worth using a Fastpass on or waiting for 75 minutes. On the other hand, it is a valid excuse to return soon...

I don't know if I ever congratulated you on finishing the run, so...

Congratulations! That's a great achievement. I would have passed out after mile 1.

And I know how you feel about departure day. Something happens to time down there. I could swear that it speeds up to at least double normal time. Whereas now we're getting to that point of the year (February) in a cold state where it seems as though time slows down to half speed.

Lee made an excellent choice for favorite ride. You can keep the big drops. :rotfl2:

Great castle pictures! Always a good choice for the Christmas card. Thanks for sharing the trip with us! :goodvibes

Thank you :goodvibes I think next time I should see if they will let me run the 1 mile fun run for kids :lmao:

I was hoping we could plan another trip for this year, but I think we will have to wait until 2012...and are hoping to book a WDW trip with a cruise following...fingers crossed!!

Thank you for following along...I really enjoyed following your TR :thumbsup2

I've just read trough it all and wow, your holiday looked amazing! :thumbsup2
Some of the T-shirts you had were just awsome :cool2: and I had a great time reading about your trip!
I've been pretty much glued to the computed for the evening :surfweb::rotfl2:
Well done! :goodvibes

So weird, I know I read your last update, and I could swear I commented on it, but I don't see it anywhere! :confused3 Unless it was one of those times that my internet just stopped working, which is possible!

Anyway, departure day is the worst! I sometimes think about taking a later flight out and going to a park on our last day, but I'd rather just stay an extra night and leave really early in the morning, I need to get out of WDW as fast as possible on our last day, or I will never leave! I always cry our last night there. :sad1:

Your photopass pics are great! :thumbsup2

I've never been to Casey's either, I should go, I would probably like the baseball/sports theme! :woohoo:

Thanks for sharing your trip, I enjoyed reading about it! :goodvibes

I have that happen to me on the boards a lot, I think I typed something up and I get some error and it all erases :headache:

You need to check out Casey's...the area where I took that picture, there are little "bleacher" type seats and a big screen playing old Disney sports related cartoons...like Goofy playing baseball..it was great!

I usually leave early in the morning too, but the only affordable flight leaving was in the evening and honestly it was pretty cool to get just a few more minutes of Disney magic in :goodvibes Though I still cried as usual on the way home...just can't help it!!

Thank you for reading along :goodvibes

Wow Shannon...congrats on finishing the Marathon! :goodvibes That had to be so cool seeing Mickey waving everyone in at the end!!!

I love pics of you and Lee in front of the castle...they're great! :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for sharing your report with all of us!!!

Just read your report, congrats on finishing! I was really interested to read it because I am running the Wine and Dine half this year. I can't wait (well, maybe I can for the actual running part :rotfl:). It sounds like a lot of fun and thanks for the detailed account!

Departure day is the worst... My half marathon trip was terrible because it was only friday-sunday and I barely had any time in the parks so I felt like I was leaving before it had even started. Overall though your trip looked like a lot of fun! You should try the half in Jan next! But watch out, it's pretty chilly on some days...

Congratulations on finishing! I agree that last mile or so was tough. You just want it to be over so badly. I was amazed at how crazy busy it was at the after-party. All I wanted was a seat! I had to make do with leaning on a fence, as I knew if I tried the ground I'd never want to get up again. :)
