And then it poured!! I thought Stitch looked like he fit in here (I had to force Lee to take this picture :rotfl:)

Photo0083FourBySix.jpg

Ooooh....the second set of Photopass pics are good too! I like the frog ones...too darn adorable.

Here is our third day...our day at DHS

First pictures of the day - the photographer made us take our sunglasses off

Photo0093FourBySix.jpg

The photographer then posed us in our "hollywood look" (we are like little kids we couldnt stop laughing at this time for some reason)

Photo0098FourBySix.jpg

Oh no Stich!! The photopass photographer never told us what this was and we had fun trying to figure out before we looked up the pictures :rotfl:

I love the black and white look and got a little carried away with it :goodvibes

I LOVE your photopass pictures. I hate that STUPID crane (ours are closer to the castle as they were putting up the lights). I really like the pictures where you and Lee are looking at the castle. Don't take it the wrong way...I love seeing your smiling faces, but those pictures are just very magical looking at the castle.

Thank you :cutie: I was so happy I did not see the large crane and then when I looked back at the pictures I saw that mini one!! Lee saw it first thing but didnt have the heart to tell me..Im glad he didnt :goodvibes

 I like those ones with the back to the camera too, I got the idea off of someones TR

Ooooh....the second set of Photopass pics are good too! I like the frog ones...too darn adorable.

Thank you :goodvibes I love the frog ones where lee looks "mad"

Love the photopass pictures! It's been a long time since I've taken advantage of the photopass, and I plan to use it to the fullest on my upcoming trip.

Love how the photopass photographer had you guys doing the "hollywood look" -- very cool.

I am definitely asking for the Princess/Frog one next year and looking back at the castle (we've had Stitch...unfortunately, not a favorite character of ours).

That was nice of Lee NOT to mention the crane to you.

Since it was Lee's first visit I had to get the CD and I am really so happy that I did :goodvibes I have never purchased any photopass photos/cds before this

Thank you :goodvibes we were having a hard time following directions and then just couldnt stop giggling

We found the Princess and Frog at the bridge going into Liberty Square

Lee thought Stitch was cute (and actually liked the Stitch attraction - ICK) but he hated the Stitch wake up calls!!

Nice pictures! I was fortunate enough to have one of the DIS Dads offer to photoshop the crane right out of the background. He did a great job!

Thank you :goodvibes We really enjoyed getting the CD, but after the first couple pictures I was just wishing someone would edit them for me :rotfl: Thats nice of him...that stupid crane really ruins it!!

Oh the big day of regrets!! I still talk to Lee about going back to WDW specifically to make up for things we missed at EPCOT. The more I look back on it though, we really did a lot and had a great time doing it!

After our adult meltdowns at Downtown Disney, I decided to let us sleep in a little, which ended up being a lot!! We did not arrive to EPCOT until around 11 am and I was not happy about that! We stopped and had some photopass pictures taken as we entered the park

Our surprised faces

Photo0128FiveBySeven.jpg

First things first we headed over to Soarin’ to grab fastpasses…no wait Lee sees Spaceship Earth and wants to ride that first…which was fine by me :thumbsup2 the park seemed fairly empty so I didn’t want to rush if we didn’t have to. Lee loved Spaceship Earth…and we had lots of fun making our postcard of the future...I really miss the old narration of the ride though. Lee kept trying to snap pictures during the ride - which didnt work out - he was making me so nervous though because I didnt want his flash to go off in the ride :scared1:

postcard.jpg

Next we were off to get our fastpasses for Soarin’ for real this time and I was hoping we could just eat in The Land building…no such luck! Lee was not too excited about the menu and wanted to go eat somewhere in World Showcase…which completely threw off my plan of attack for the day.

We had another adult meltdown at this moment (alright alright mainly me!!), but looking back I wish I just rolled with the punches and I wish we had tried lunch somewhere interesting in WS…instead Lee decided on a turkey leg (he really wanted one all trip and has never tried one before)

IMG_1993.jpg

It was EMPTY in World Showcase and I wish I just threw my plan out the window at this point and took advantage of it…this is where my huge regret comes from. We never truly got to enjoy most of the stores or any of the rides at WS. I was in a rush to get back to Future World and ride the attractions before our dinner ADR. Lee at least took the time to snap a picture of each country with his phone and we tried to take one of ourselves in Italy with little success!

Here we are re entering Future World

Photo0136FourBySix.jpg

The photopass photographer said “How about a kiss” after the picture he said “I meant for me” I love when they try to be silly like that :rotfl:

Photo0144FourBySix.jpg

For some reason I am making a horrible face here and just spotted it now…pretty funny

Photo0140FourBySix.jpg

Our first stop before hitting the attractions was Club Cool…Lee LOVED it here and we bought lots of great souvenirs here as well
He is so excited

IMG_1984.jpg

Then he asked me to fill his cup while he was looking at a set of salt shakers for his mom…big mistake...time for BEVERLY!!

IMG_1985.jpg

I’m sorry but he set himself up for that one, I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to pull it off without cracking up first!

After our fun adventure in Club Cool we returned to The Land…I used to work here at Living with the Land and I took Lee on the ride. He kept asking if he would see an Alligator at WDW and I promised he would

IMG_2000.jpg

And then to Soarin’ we go…we had a semi-AM (adult meltdown) and it was a little embarassing, because we were doing the hushed argument in line :headache: I think we were getting pretty tired by this point..next time I am planning a relaxing day in between or more of a buffer for relaxing. Looking back Lee and I can always laugh at the arguments we got in at Disney, they were pretty silly :goodvibes

soarin.jpg

By this point it was getting pretty busy at EPCOT (but the lines were still short). On Soarin’ Lee let out some sort of squeal when we first lifted up ( we were in front row – YAY) He LOVED the ride, since he had just quit smoking his sense of smell was already improving and made it an even better experience. Though after he squealed (he was scared of the lifting up part) the guy next to me kept laughing and watching Lee’s reaction the entire ride…it was funny at first…then sort of distracting!!

Off to find Nemo!! I am so scared of seagulls, so Lee snapped this as a joke

IMG_2001.jpg

Lee really enjoyed Living with the Seas…I sort of miss the way it was before Nemo…well what I can remember. We spotted dolphins which was exciting :goodvibes and Lee found a hidden Mickey

hiddenmickey.jpg

We were able to see the Cast Members feeding the Sea Horses and for some reason we were mesmerized by these little buddies

Up Next: Mission Motion Sickness and we Wine and Dine

Don't regret too much, you can always go back to experience the rest.

I do agree about putting in a relaxing day though. It always makes a difference. I like to insert a day where we sleep in a little bit and then go shopping in Downtown Disney.

We used to tend to rush through WS too but on our last trip we tried having a drink in each country which really made us slow down and spend time at every pavilion. It was fantastic!

Somehow I missed this update till now. Sorry about that. Anyway, never get between a man and his turkey legs!

Um...yeah...silly... :rolleyes1

Obviously you were anticipating the Beverly!

Then he asked me to fill his cup while he was looking at a set of salt shakers for his mom…big mistake...time for BEVERLY!!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

He actually let you post this?!

:lmao:

As others have said, don't have regrets...just go back for another trip!

Awesome photopass pics!! The Princess and the Frog pics were too nifty. This is the first I've seen those shots.

I understand how you feel about the Epcot day, but those happen. It'll give you another reason to come back and make it up. ;) Still seems like you had a nice time overall though! :goodvibes

Nice update, Shannon. Sorry about the AM's again. Love the pictures in front of the golf ball. The one of Lee drinking the Beverly is priceless.:thumbsup2

I already ordered the free 2011 planning dvd just for fun, I am trying to plan a trip for the end of next year :goodvibes and I am going to make sure I do a rest/shopping day too, I like the sounds of that!

We used to tend to rush through WS too but on our last trip we tried having a drink in each country which really made us slow down and spend time at every pavilion. It was fantastic!

I think that is what we need to do next time...just slow down and enjoy it, we were trying to squeeze in everything after getting to EPCOT late and having a 630 dinner ADR

Somehow I missed this update till now. Sorry about that. Anyway, never get between a man and his turkey legs!

I made him share :rotfl: I wasn't a huge fan though - why does it taste like ham?!?

Obviously you were anticipating the Beverly!

:lmao: Poor guy gulped the Beverly because he was really thirsty

As others have said, don't have regrets...just go back for another trip!

thats true! I was hoping to see if there were any slow times in December anymore?!? I would like to go back with Christmas decorations up

Thank you :goodvibes I heard about those shots on the boards and went on a hunt for the photopass photographer with them

It really was a great day overall...sometimes I worry too much and need to just enjoy vacation

Nice update, Shannon. Sorry about the AM's again. Love the pictures in front of the golf ball. The one of Lee drinking the Beverly is priceless.:thumbsup2

Thank you :cutie: Lee was really excited to go inside the ball :rotfl: I think I scarred him, because he wouldn't try anymore sodas after the Beverly!!

I love your photopass pics. They came out much better than mine did.

I think adult meltdowns are pretty unavoidable at Disney. I think it's a combination of expecting too much, and having to deal with other people. Even if it's not busy you still end up dealing with some nuts. This trip my friend and I managed to avoid the meltdowns, but I think it's because we were all exhausted all week long from the 1/2 marathon. We were too pooped to have a meltdown. :rotfl:

I found your trip report from the link in your signature on your comment on my trip report! I need to subscribe to this! I had a lot of things I wanted to comment on while I was reading, but I didn't take notes and I've forgotten. Oops! :lmao:

I am really enjoying reading this, and I really like your photos too! I am looking forward to the part about the half marathon. I am interested in knowing the route and also how it was doing it at night. I can't imagine starting at 10pm. That means I'd be finishing around 2am, since I wouldn't be in the first corral and it takes me about 3.5 hours! Getting up at 2:30 or whenever it was for the Princess was rough, but I think this might be worse!

The medal someone has in their signature is awesome though! Well worth the effort!

Photopass pictures actually came out fantastic!! I love the "Beverly face" too - hilarious :)

I am sure yours are great!! Trust me about half of them came out pretty horrible including ones I was really looking forward to (France at EPCOT) :headache: so I am excited that the other half came out really good :goodvibes

Its true...I knew we were going to have some meltdowns, but overall I think we did a really great job getting along on our vacation. I am scared next year we are spending a whole week in a house with 14 members of Lee's family :scared1:

:welcome: I am glad you could join in!! The medal is great...I have it displayed over our fireplace :goodvibes I really enjoyed running at night, I think it was a great experience and I had way more energy than when I race in the morning (though I do need to train a little better for my next half)

I am scared to write about the race itself because I feel like I cant remember parts of the route...its like I blocked it out :rotfl:

Photopass pictures actually came out fantastic!! I love the "Beverly face" too - hilarious :)

Thank you - the CD was a great investment :goodvibes He was actually proud of me for tricking him for once
