We were on our way to Magic Kingdom!!! Well after a lengthy wait for a bus. I swear if you see either Lee or I coming towards the bus line you are in…run far away! By the end of the trip I decided we are a curse when it comes to waiting on transportation
We hopped on the next bus to Magic Kingdom and I could tell already that Lee was pretty impressed by the enthusiasm of the Cast Members at POP! and our friendly bus driver. Oh glorious Magic Kindgom…I practically knocked over small children to get off the bus and through the gates!!
Of course I made Lee stop for our first photopass picture in front of the train station. I am just about finished editing photopass pictures and will share those when the CD comes in…wish I had it now!! But for now I do have the pictures we took with our camera.

I don’t know if it just me, but no matter how many times I go to Disney World I think to myself “I cannot believe I am really here!” It almost feels like a dream looking back on each trip…ok enough cheesy comments

We were admiring all the Halloween decorations and I pointed out the firehouse to Lee, because I knew he would LOVE it.

Just as we were about to walk into the firehouse a cast member started shooing us across the street!!! I started to panic a little like what the heck is happening. Then all of a sudden the Move it! Shake it! Celebrate it! Street Party starts rolling out from backstage in that area and I got some great shots (well at an angle at least)

Needless to say I was pretty darn pumped up to start the day like this!! We quickly popped in the firehouse gift shop where Lee made a pressed penny and then we headed toward the castle to see the rest of the “Street Party”

Problem is I learned that everyone congregates in front of the castle for this “Party” and it was a hassle to work our way through. I decided we would start in Adventureland…family tradition of mine. Lee however was officially “dying” because it was H-O-T that day. Well sounds to me like the perfect time to try my first ever DOLE WHIP!! I got the pineapple float and DBF got the pineapple and vanilla swirl. I swear that was the best use of a snack credit ever!!

Finally we got on our first ride - Jungle Cruise! We had a female skipper, but I cannot remember her name, maybe cause she wasn’t very funny

He said he enjoyed the ride, but I wasn’t convinced!! We completely bypassed the magic carpets and the Tiki Room without me saying a word (my new tactic for avoiding rides). I was hoping he wouldn’t notice, because I didn’t feel like waiting for either of those (I’m so sweet I know

Now the first time I rode Pirates I cried like a baby because it was dark (well I was 7), but I LOVE that ride and I was hoping DBF would too! Now have you ever watched a funny movie you LOVE, I mean really LOVE with people who have never seen it before? You want those people to LOVE it too and if you are like me you are insane and stress the entire time you watch the movie because you want to make sure they get all the jokes. This is how I was starting to feel with Lee on the rides at Disney (and probably felt that way the entire time we were there)…I needed to just sit back and enjoy even if he didn’t! When we exited Pirates he was really excited, he had LOVED it too and he even asked if we could go back on it later…Hallelujah!!
Next we hit up Splash Mountain – my absolute favorite of all rides at Disney – except I really don’t like the getting wet part of it. Lee was very unsure of the drop and the little drops in between freaked him out, but he was very impressed on the theme and story that played out during the ride, yay

Still nice and dry we were ready for our lunch ADR at Tony’s Town Square. On the way to lunch, pictures in front of the castle!

And please someone tell me they can recognize the famous balloon CM…I have seen him in at least 4 other TRs, but all I could get was a quick picture of him and he turned around!

Tony's is one restaurant that was new to me. I booked familiar ones throughout the week just because Lee tends to be a picky eater and I wanted to make sure he would like my picks (can you tell yet that I am a people pleaser?? I need to visit Disney alone and do everything my way lol) We had about a 10 to 15 minute wait, so we shopped around, I really wish those cut outs where you could take pictures were open. Now let me tell you DO NOT eat here at lunch if you want a quiet and romantic time

I enjoyed our view of Magic Kingdom guests, though I sort of preferred the look of the main dining room. Poor Lee learned fast that Dsiney does not serve what he calls “real sweet tea” which is the brewed kind, the tea they have I think is a fountain type? It’s different than “southern sweet tea” – but hey I’m from the north so what do I know??

The dessert on the other hand…oh man! Lee ordered the seasonal cheesecake which was pumpkin and I tried the Tiramisu. I wish I ordered the cheesecake, but he was nice enough to share

We decided it was time to go back to POP! after receving a text that our room was ready. We wanted to get settled and take a nap (though at Disney I could probably go without sleep all week).
Up Next: Quick trip to POP and back to MK for more rides and Wishes!
