Hungry Are The Damned! 10/15/07-10/25/07 - COMPLETED W/LOTS OF PICS!!!

Brenda, discombobulated is one of my favorite words :lmao:

Tea looks wonderful and I don't even like it :rotfl:

I know how good the cake and slipper desserts are, we had both after a dinner at Narcoossees and :faint: we needed to waddle out of there.

Deb

Ordering breakfast here has always been really easy for us: cafe mocha, giant Mickey waffle, a side of snausages, a monster omlette, and some water.

The perfect combination of sweet and savory - mmm, my kind of breakfast.:thumbsup2

Our waitress took our order promptly and Jay and I sat in drowsy silence, waiting for the chocolate, caffeinated joyful jolt that is cafe mocha at WDW.

And then it showed up ...

I looked at Jay, who was already taking a sip from his cup, and said, "What the hell is this?"

Oh, this is just so wrong. To have your choclately, caffeine-y dreams ripped to shreds like that so early in the day. You have my deepest sympathies.

This next picture is a cafe mocha we ordered at the Yacht Club Galley in October 2006. Don't ever forget what it looks like and don't ever let someone tell you a mocha doesn't include whipped cream or chocolate syrup. Note the oversized cup, the generous mound of whipped cream, the drizzle of chocolate syrup ... this is a cafe mocha!

Now THAT'S more like it! :yay: :yay:

Thursday, October 18th - Tea/Tee Caddie/Caddy Cozie/Cozy ... Get Out Your Thesarus, Strainers and Loose Leaf, There's a Doings Transpiring at the Gardenview Lounge!

Oooh! The Gardenview! My favorite! :yay:

Although I always choose Chamomile tea, I really enjoyed "testing" the other tea varietals before we placed our order. There were some teas that were described in such a way on the menu that I was tempted to try something new, but when I caught a whiff of their aromas I was turned off. Many of them smelled too strongly of florals or spice, and I knew that I wouldn't care for that kind of tea. I'm boring when it comes to hot tea - I either choose an English Breakfast tea or Chamomile.
I hear you, sistah - I also stay far away from flavored teas, although (possibly not surprisingly), I prefer a good Irish Breakfast. :)

Now, it's time for a poorly photographed selection of sandwich wedgies.

Bread and tasty flavored paste-fillings
226.jpg

Lurve me some tea sandwiches, now.

Once we finished eating all of our sand-wedgies we were each given a scone and a jam tart. The scone is a light biscuit with golden raisins baked into it - I always slice mine in half and smear it with the Devonshire cream that we forgot to photograph. And then I smear jam (see that tiny little jar on the plate?) all over the cream. And then I stuff the whole artery-clogging thing into my mouth and savor the sinful flavors. The jam tart is also quite tasty smeared with cream, but on this ocassion the crust was just a bit too dry. Thank goodness for champagne. ;)

Tart and Scone ... sounds like a bad English romance novel, doesn't it?
230.jpg

You're going to make me drool soon. The scone, the devonshire cream, the jam - sooo good.

You followed up the Grand Tea with both a little cake and a slipper dessert? :worship: :worship: :worship:

I'm trying to convince Lionel to take me to the GF for tea for my birthday (which is Friday). He keeps saying silly things like "that's not a present." :sad2:

And who brews tea in a French press? :confused3

Oh ... I just LOVED your report of the GF Tea. I've been waiting for that one. I was feeling a little blue since having to cancel our Feb 08 visit home (to WDW) and was glad I broke my slight absence from the boards by reading your review. (Nothing life threatening - DH blew out his knee taking laundry down the steps -- WHY OH WHY did I ask him to do that last LOAD??? I HAD done the rest and I didn't mean to think ... lazy ... get off your ... and do the last load -- and was suitably punished by hearing the basket hit the ground and DH yell something unprintable -- and he NEVER swears -unlike sailor ME! Anyway ... he missed the last step and I knew we were going to miss WDW in Feb ). DH is on his way towards recovery with Physical Therapy (but not for a good while) -- so enough of the blues & onto more food!

Anyway ... you had that wonderful tea (and the little cake and slipper) on my REAL Birthday (Oct 18) so I felt it must have been fate that I was reading about it! I need to plan about two more trips to fit a tea in ... and I will do so! ... you made me smile! :)

Erica... tell him you'll give him a kidney if he ever needs one and then make the ressies!!!

(of course by the time we're all done with our kidneys...:rolleyes1 )

I'll post some more responses when I get home from work, but I just thought of a truly awful pun and I know that you, my dear food friends, will enjoy it more than anyone else.

the Grand Floridian should offer a blend called ...

wait for it ...

Eterni-tea! :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK, maybe it's really not that funny but I am easily amused. :goodvibes

Yeah that rolling in the surf with Jay never crossed your mind.... :cloud9:

& now you have tea to have after...

Ooh, great update Brenda - I may just have to book that afternoon tea for my in-laws, who love themselves a nice cup of tea and some pastries. Dare I ask, though, as they are pretty boring, I mean PLAIN, people they would probably prefer themselves a plain English tea - can you obtain such a thing or are they all specialty teas?

Michelle actually answered your question in her post, but to reiterate ... there are a wide variety of teas to choose from, including Darjeeling and English Breakfast. There are also a lot of food items that can be ordered ala carte, so they don't have to stuff themselves with no restraint like some people...:rolleyes1

Thanks for reading, Joh!

I have all of the MT on my DVR and I'm trying to fight the urge to go throw the DVD of Pride & Prejudice in just for the you know what of it... Colin Firth...yum.... (it's like in Bridget Jones' Diary when they keep rewinding over the shot of him diving into the lake...)

Oh yes ... Colin Firth ... I'd order him for tea every day if he was on the menu! :lmao:

They have several types of tea and combinations to get at GF tea... Here's the menu and also don't hesitate to order ala carte... lots of people do it...

http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_gft.htm

Oh and about Planky's lint... I found a new use for it... my boyscout nephew told me it makes an excellent fire starter... sure...what did us Girl Scouts know...

Thanks for posting the menu link for others to see, Michelle! Lint ... makes fire? I'm never telling Plankton that. :scared:

Thanks you for reassuring me I'm not being completely anal retentive for always carrying my confirmation numbers with me! Those traveling with me think I'm crazy, except for my husband. He thanks me every trip for all my planning excess!

Hi Lori! Jay used to tease me about it until we had a minor disaster one time ... now he'll ask me if I have my calendar with all the ADRs and phone numbers before we leave the room.

Okay, that cracked me up!:lmao:

Everyone sure seems to like the Hootie comment!

I would have been disappointed too. I love those pretty little teapots.

It just seems wrong, doesn't it? And mis-matched, too.

Bugs is the BEST!! Hilarious, and you're right, actually much more funny as an adult. But when I was a kid Saturday mornings weren't complete without my dose of Looney Tunes.:thumbsup2

Great minds!

Funny, they frown on afternoon champagne where I work, too. What's wrong with people?! Guess I'd be considered a lush when I'm at WDW too, because I've had plenty of drinks before dinner -- and during, and after . . .

Someone is always trying to take the fun out of the workday, have you noticed? Join the lush club ... we sometimes start drinking at 9AM if alcoholic breakfast offerings are available.

Someday I'm going to have me one of these beauties!

Wonderful update, Brenda!

Thanks for reading and yes, everyone should have afternoon tea at least once and indulge in a slipper ... :cloud9:

Brenda, discombobulated is one of my favorite words.

Tea looks wonderful and I don't even like it :rotfl:

I know how good the cake and slipper desserts are, we had both after a dinner at Narcoossees and :faint: we needed to waddle out of there.

Deb

Hi Deb - thanks for popping in! I can't take credit for discombobulated, but I sure like the way it makes my mouth feel when I say it! :lmao: Wow ... you guys had both after dinner at Narcoossee's? Kudos! And they were so good ... I wish I were eating them right now ... my sweet tooth has been kicking me all day.

I'm trying to convince Lionel to take me to the GF for tea for my birthday (which is Friday). He keeps saying silly things like "that's not a present."

And who brews tea in a French press? :confused3

Erica - happy early birthday! And why can't it be a present if that's what you want? It's your birthday after all and you like tea and you've never had a chance to "tee" it up at the GF. If I lived in Florida I would just take you to tea for your birthday and help you eat all that food ... ;)

And you know what? I bet the French don't even brew tea in a French press.

The perfect combination of sweet and savory - mmm, my kind of breakfast.

Oh, this is just so wrong. To have your choclately, caffeine-y dreams ripped to shreds like that so early in the day. You have my deepest sympathies.

Litebrite is in the house! It's good to see you again. :goodvibes

And thank you for the cafe-mocha sympathies ... it was a tough morning all around. Thank goodness I knew there was sugar-a-plenty waiting at the Gardenview Lounge. ;)

I hear you, sistah - I also stay far away from flavored teas, although (possibly not surprisingly), I prefer a good Irish Breakfast. :)

Ah yes, that's a good choice as well!

Lurve me some tea sandwiches, now.

They're tasty, and much more filling than you'd think by looking at the picture.

You're going to make me drool soon. The scone, the devonshire cream, the jam - sooo good.

Some day I'm going to ask if I can skip the tart and have two scones with extra cream - that's my favorite item that's served with tea. Yummy!

You followed up the Grand Tea with both a little cake and a slipper dessert? :worship: :worship: :worship:

Thank you...thank you. Remorseless eating machines ... I think we each grow a second stomach on vacation. No one here will probably believe me, but when we're at home Jay and I actually eat pretty sparingly and rarely go out to eat. Our diets are so boring in "normal" life that it's no wonder we go crazy on vacation. ;)

Oh ... I just LOVED your report of the GF Tea. I've been waiting for that one. I was feeling a little blue since having to cancel our Feb 08 visit home (to WDW) and was glad I broke my slight absence from the boards by reading your review. First of all ... you need a hug. I'm so sorry to read that you had to cancel your trip. Glad to hear that your DH is on the mend, though. Just be sure to remind him that he owes you an extra special afternoon tea and that it should include all kinds of sugary surprises as a token of his undying vacation love.

I'm glad you enjoyed reading this installment - making you smile has made me smile! And happy belated birthday from one October girl to another!

Erica... tell him you'll give him a kidney if he ever needs one and then make the ressies!!!

(of course by the time we're all done with our kidneys...

I try not to think of my kidneys, or liver for that matter. It's just better that way.

Yeah that rolling in the surf with Jay never crossed your mind....

& now you have tea to have after...

The problem I have with rolling in the surf is the sand. It's like that Simpson's episode that spoofs just that scene from the movie and Homer says in a really low, sexy voice, "Marge ... I've got sand in my pants."

And Marge says, "I know - me too. Let's go home."

That would totally be me ... I love the beach but I hate wet sand. I'm a freak but it's part of my charm. :rotfl2:

Brenda, Great taste in Shiraz, Rosemount is our everyday shiraz (well, I don't drink it everyday, you know what I mean).

We hated having breakfast at the Yacht Club. It was "icky". Kind of sums up the whole experience, waitstaff, food, and table cleanliness.

Jay is very fond of the Rosemount Shiraz and I can drink it in small doses.

Sorry to hear your YCG experiences was even gackier than ours.

You will have fun in Vegas. Make sure you check out the Venetian. Also, Phantom there is fantastic! I'm not an opera type person but I'm definitely going again. They made the theater for the production, and it reminds me of being at Disney with all the special effects and props.

Deb

Thanks for the suggestions, Deb - I love the Venetian; it's so pretty. And sadly that's likely as close to Venice as I'm going to get (I don't think Venice, IL counts). I doubt that we'll do any shows ... Jay doesn't like musicals. He'll go if there's something I really want to see, but I don't subject him to it often. And on vacation ... he'd probably never let me plan another WDW trip again if I did that! ;)

No... first week of May... Hopeful handoff of Planky...

Oh and Brenda... you need to keep that picture of the cafe mocha with you next time you go... whip it out and prove her wrong... Of course she will get the caraffe mixed up and INSIST that you had that CM at Ihop...

Plankton will be winging his way towards you via the USPS once the weather warms up - wouldn't want him to have to travel while it's cold out. He can be surprisingly delicate.

Yep - we should have printed out a copy of that picture and whipped it out for her inspection. Maybe next time. ;)

Why would you argue with someone about their food? That makes no sense...

I've missed a lot. I had no idea you were going to Vegas. It would seem people either love Vegas or hate it. I love it... Maybe not as much as Grimace...or Gamblor. But still... :)

I'm going to write the waitress off as having a bad day that was exacerbated (now there's a word!) by the abnormal heat. But we're still not going back any time soon.

Yes, Vegas is fun ... I like it fine but nowhere near like Grimace whose eyes bulge with a maniacal gleam as soon as the words Las Vegas are out of your mouth. It's really quite frightening ... ;)

Gosh, two whole installments from the time I last read...y'all been busy girl!! Sorry about the migraines. I get them too...Topomax is my friend. I love medication that decreases blood flow to the brain... not so much. Poor Benda...:lmao: Seriously hilarious...snort laugh worthy even!!! Maybe it was the French spelling...or something...

Well, I'm so late responding to you and everyone else that I know for a fact you're all caught up!

Do you know how much I get a kick out of knowing that I made you snort-laugh? And since I've posted that review everyone and their brother seems to have started calling me Benda or Bendy ... I guess it's no more than I deserve. ;)

I have to tell you that reading your descriptions of the food and the wine and how it all goes together makes me think of well bred young ladies and Chanel sunglasses...don't know why...but it does...you just sound so dang well bred and cultivated!!! I just don't think I have the culinary bravery to eat such foods...just seeing pictures of food touching other food instead of being appropriately separated on the plate makes a girl anxious!!!

Well, you can hang on to that pretty picture because if you met me in person you'd know that I'm a gawky, goofy-looking schmo who has been known to belch out loud in public because she forget she wasn't at home. :lmao:

Sad but true ... I'm a poser-slob with expensive taste. :headache:

I died laughing at the description of the whiskey you were drinking..."it doesn't taste like burning..." Is that another Ralph-ism? That is EXACTLY how I would describe whiskey...it tastes like burning. Much burning. Ucky.

Totally stole it from Ralph. He eats some poison berries in an episode where the kids are stranded on an island and then he says, "I don't feel so good - it tastes like burning."

How unfortunate that you were gacked at breakfast. I love the way your waitress was telling you what your taste buds were experiencing. That sort of thing would have caused an "embarrassing moment" had MY Jay been on the receiving end of that. He waited tables during college and of course did it to obsessive compulsive perfection. He has ZERO tolerance for sub standard service. He'll go as far as to tell the waiter or waitress HOW they should be doing their job...He's not trying to be obnoxious mind you...he just happens to look upon waiting tables with fond remembrance...oddly enough...and feels that such a profession deserves some respect. The service has to be REALLy bad though for him to really fuss...like the time our waiter SNEEZED on our food on the way to our table...right on it...and then set it down in front of us...not knowing we had SEEN sneeze bombs fall on our food...THAT...was bad. There was some yelling. :lmao:

Looking forward to MORE!!!

OH and if you had a food/vacation blog...I would SO read it...which I'm sure is the clincher for you...

My Jay had a previous life in the restaurant world, too! I'm starting to think we may be dopplegangers (another great word!) ... Ok, maybe not. I just wanted an excuse to use that word. ;)

Thanks for reading, Campbell. And if I can figure out how to set up a vacation blog I'll be sure to let you know all about it!

I was about to post that! I thought of you at work this week, Brenda. Two teachers were dressed alike and I told them they look like "twinkies". And I thought to myself "Hmm...twinkies...now that's a fun word. I bet Brenda would like that one as much as yummy..."

Anyway...We ate at Yacht Club Galley for lunch in October, and we were not impressed either. Maybe they are going through some changes with the new name....:confused3

Twinkies! Yes - that's another great one. Twinkies...chocodiles...ding dongs ... they taste good and they're fun to pronounce! It's a win-win situation! You just put a huge smile on my face, Sunny!

As for YCG - we've never tried them for anything other than breakfast and now I guess we won't have a reason to try them again. Oh well, it happens.

Your Lush Quotient (LQ?) is pretty high, I'm suspecting. ;)

It actually seems to depend on the day - some days it only takes a few sips to turn me into Tipsy McStagger.

I never knew that one could have Scotch without the burning!

It is possible - I never knew it until I experienced the John Barleycorn joy one evening.

ROFL! Serves you right for having the tanning gene! I'm convinced that you caught a bad photo moment because the flash reflected badly at the tan bouncing off of you and Jay.

Well, let's be candid ... Jay never has a bad photo moment. So even though he looks a bit like a gargantuan Oompa-Loompa, he still looks good.

I, on the other hand, have real problems with cameras. Too self-conscious for one thing ... too damn goofy looking for another! :rotfl2:

It's that same thinking that cost me the festival shirt I wanted. Luckily, someone was able to find the shirt in my size and pick it up for me.

I'm glad you were able to get a shirt ... I'm still miffed that I couldn't find one. It makes me sad because I have no clothing memorabilia from this year's festival.

Well, I had breakfast there a scant two days later, and we had to wait 30 minutes for a table, mid-morning on the day we left. I never had to wait for a table there before.

I usually go for the buffet...and that trip was no exception.

What a lousy server. If I were the manager, I would have made a beeline to your table to cut off the blabbermouth in her tracks to make things up to you.

Wow - I've never been to YCG when it's been that busy. And we never have tried the buffet there, although that does seem to be the most popular option. I just have to have that Mickey waffle.

Our server was not great, that's for sure. But I have no idea where the manager was and didn't think to ask.

Oink. We ordered the carafe of swill with our breakfast, too.

We drank all of our swill, so I can't badmouth it too much, can I?

Bummer. I liked the buffet offerings, for what it's worth.

If that was the worst meal, count yourself lucky! :)

I totally agree - this was mild compared with some of the things I've read about here on the boards. And considering how long we were staying (10 days) I count us very fortunate for not having any other sub-par dining experiences. And certainly nothing that made me cry. ;)

Wow, nice gifts! I especially like the wine stopper, but hey, they ain't Toblerone! :rotfl2:

On a completely unrelated note, I had a fortune cookie to open. It read: "A good deed will make you feel good." What kind of stinky fortune is that?? TDC Nala told me that I didn't get a fortune cookie. I got a sermon cookie! Hmmpf!

When you care enough to send Toblerone ... well, you know the rest!

A sermon cookie - :rotfl2:

We were in Panera last night (who, I am sad to say, have decided to stop selling Crispanis, forcing me to have a mediocre harvest pear salad and a rock-hard portobella sandwich) and what did I see a photo of?

A giant, steaming Cafe Mocha topped with whipped cream and chocolate. I said to Lionel "hey look! A Cafe Mocha!" and burst out laughing. I must have looked like a lunatic.

Sorry you got snubbed by the waitress. I hate when you are craving something, and then you can't have it.

Erica, you never fail to make me laugh! That's the kind of thing I would have done and poor Jay would have been confused and worried. :lmao:

:thumbsup2 Another great update Brenda- too bad about the waitress and lack of cafe mocha though.

I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting to see a TR for your trip to Vegas- are you going to start one on the Community Board? Pretty, pretty please? :flower3:

Thanks for reading - glad you liked it! Can I write a non-Disney TR and post it on the community board? I don't venture over there very often ... it seems kind of scary and hostile.

And I don't want to miff the powers that be around here by tacking Vegas onto this TR if that is a violation of rule #75, sub-rule #127, addendum ZZZZZ.

I'll see what I can figure out between now and then and I'll post something here so that anyone who would like to read about it can find a way to do so.

Thanks again!

Utopias!

Did you ever secure a bottle? We did!

I gave DH the go-ahead to get one after I heard from the Sam Adam's rep at the Food and Wine Fest that they only make 12,000 or so bottles. I was really thinking that he would never be able to get his hot little hands on one anyway, so make him happy and say yes.

So, DH put his name on 3 lists at local liquor stores around town.

Then I'm at work one Saturday and he calls and tells me he is at Yankee Spirits (with the kids!) because he called and they just so happened to have a bottle.

Then, the following week, we get phone calls from all 3 of the stores that he left his name with!

I only let him have that one bottle, though.

I tasted the stuff and didn't care for it. He had a small taste in his special glass that he got for "free" for buying the bottle, although we had to ship it to a friend in MA because CT won't allow you to ship it here!

Anyway, good thing it keeps for a long time because it is potent. I guess they only make it every 2 years or so, but I already set a precedent and I'm sure he'll buy another. :)

We never did manage to secure a bottle, although we did find a place here in town that put us on a waiting list. They're pretty confident that they can get us a bottle when the next batch is bottled and shipped.

Jay and I both really liked the Utopias and are hopeful that we can nab one in another year. It's not the kind of thing we'd buy very often, but as a one-of-a-kind item it would be really cool to have, especially for Jay.

Congrats on getting some for your hubby!

Potent... wow...

I heard they are now selling Absinthe in this country... our local reporter tried it and reported he didn't have any of the ledgendary "halucinations..." that you get from it...

Brenda... any comment on hallucinations???

I actually purchased a bottle of absinthe from an on-line liquor store in Spain some years ago (while it was still illegal here) and it was shipped to my house in about two weeks. I guess US Customs didn't care if I was planning on blowing my mind with a wormwood infused drink or not.

We still have more than 3/4 of the bottle because the stuff was nast-eeeee! Even with the water poured over the sugar cube to diffuse the potency of the alcohol - it tasted like black licorice. Blech! Super-Gacky!

And really, I don't need absinthe to hallucinate ... I just overdose on chocolate.

Benda, you're going to Vegas in April and then WDW in May? Do you have ADRs made?

Back to boycotting.

Sorry for any confusion - we are only going to Vegas in April ... Jay and I are doomed to a life of drudgery and pain in May, when both sets of parents leave for different trips to places like Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Spain.

Jerks.

Sad to know that you're boycotting me ... you're missing some fine funny times and pretty pictures of food. ;)

Yes... make sure you have extra bubbly... makes the sterile tea press look like a flowered one... Hey why would they keep the cozies if they don't use the tea pots anymore???

Oh yes ... Colin Firth ... I'd order him for tea every day if he was on the menu! :lmao:

I love watching him in the Bridget Jones' movies... especially when he gets into that geeky fight with Hugh Grant at the end... It's such a BAD fight scene... I could imagine them laughing through the whole thing....

Thanks for posting the menu link for others to see, Michelle! Lint ... makes fire? I'm never telling Plankton that. :scared:

Yes... Dryer lint... not sure about belly button lint...

Someone is always trying to take the fun out of the workday, have you noticed? Join the lush club ... we sometimes start drinking at 9AM if alcoholic breakfast offerings are available.

Keep the small bottles of Baileys in the bottom drawer of your desk...nobody will know why your coffee tastes so good and why you're so happy in the am...

Erica - happy early birthday! And why can't it be a present if that's what you want? It's your birthday after all and you like tea and you've never had a chance to "tee" it up at the GF. If I lived in Florida I would just take you to tea for your birthday and help you eat all that food ... ;)

Erica... bribery works...trust me...

Some day I'm going to ask if I can skip the tart and have two scones with extra cream - that's my favorite item that's served with tea. Yummy!

I hear it's cheaper to order ala carte for that... but the bubbly may put you over budget...

I try not to think of my kidneys, or liver for that matter. It's just better that way.

We have a thing in our family... self centered jerks (nice ones, but still self centered...) and I always sort of joke that If I needed to call and ask any of my siblings for a kidney...I'd be dead before they called me back...

:rotfl2:

Cold wet sand too.... :headache:

Plankton will be winging his way towards you via the USPS once the weather warms up - wouldn't want him to have to travel while it's cold out. He can be surprisingly delicate.

Tell me Planky has certain parts that shrink in cold weather??? I showed Planky's picture to my mom and after a long minute or so she said..."OOOOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK...." I told her to just treat him like another grandchild...

Do you know how much I get a kick out of knowing that I made you snort-laugh? And since I've posted that review everyone and their brother seems to have started calling me Benda or Bendy ... I guess it's no more than I deserve. ;)

Well, we could be calling you Bindy like the Croc hunter's daughter... but you'd have to give up your career in finance and move to a zoo...

Well, you can hang on to that pretty picture because if you met me in person you'd know that I'm a gawky, goofy-looking schmo who has been known to belch out loud in public because she forget she wasn't at home. :lmao:

Sad but true ... I'm a poser-slob with expensive taste. :headache:

NO wonder we all get along...

Sorry for any confusion - we are only going to Vegas in April ... Jay and I are doomed to a life of drudgery and pain in May, when both sets of parents leave for different trips to places like Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Spain.

I think I'm going to Switzerland next week...(business...) (and good chocolate...)

Sad to know that you're boycotting me ... you're missing some fine funny times and pretty pictures of food. ;)
I'll see what I can figure out between now and then and I'll post something here so that anyone who would like to read about it can find a way to do so.

Aww, don't be askeert of the CB, Brenda. Everybody would love you over there! And the whole point of the CB is that nothing's OT, so a Vegas TR would be just fine and dandy.

I didn't know I could go totally OT over there ... perhaps I will dip my toe into the community waters and see what happens. :upsidedow

On a totally different note .. DisneyDuet and her hubby are going to be joining the Bash on the Boat gang and they're sailing the Magic on 10/24/09 with us! :yay:

And I do believe Tink Rules is giving serious consideration to joining the fun as well!

Join us, join us, join us.... ;)

Since you used two names for yourself recently:

Hootie McBewb
Tipsy McStagger

I thought you might need more names. How about...?

Sugar McSweetums (two freaking desserts!)
Peggy McStump (when you take those one-legged photos)
Sweaty McGland (on those hot days)
Icky McCrohn (self explanatory, I think)
Scrooge McDuck (ok, I had to go there. There's absolutely no connection.)

I'll post some more responses when I get home from work, but I just thought of a truly awful pun and I know that you, my dear food friends, will enjoy it more than anyone else.

Eterni-tea! :lmao: :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

OK, maybe it's really not that funny but I am easily amused. :goodvibes

Wow. Hehe.

Awwww. thanks!
