Holy moly! What a meal! Every course looked better than the last!
I think I heard about the Palms from that stupid show about Hugh Heffner's girlfirends. But forget them! That cheese plate at Alize has got it goin' on!
Thanks for taking a look ... the cheese plate and the soup were my two favorite parts of the meal, oh, and the port tasting!
I think there is still some kind of Playboy Club at the hotel because shortly after we were seated the restaurant manager invited two of the most vapid women I've ever had the misfortune to inadvertantly eavesdrop on upstairs to their Playboy "lounge."
Go figure.
Hey Brenda,
Yes, I really did schedule a Vegas trip!
Guess what, I'm not the Deb on your blog. Some other Deb
I'm too password challenged to remember how to sign in!
Ooooops! Well, thanks for reading anyway! Now, where are you and your daughter going to eat on your trip and when is it scheduled for?
You look absolutely gorgeous in that dress. I also love your haircut. Tres chic. The bracelet is a nice touch. Good choice Jay. He looks very handsome also. The picture of you taken by the waiter is reminiscent of a famous royal portrait taken 20 years ago.
Awww, thanks so much! I tried really hard to look nice that night ... I think it lasted through the cab ride!

Hmmmm, royal portrait eh? You know, Jay is distantly related to the House of Windsor ... I wonder if he should toss his name into the ring for inheritance of the throne? They could use some fresh blood if you ask me!
My gawd, that cheese plate! Nothing will ever come close in your future cheese quests. I wonder if you could order this baby in their bar? I'm going to have to look into that.
Enough off topic, sorry Brenda fans.
Deb (The other one)
Best cheese plate ever. It's going to be hard to top that anywhere we go ... that's what I'm thinking.
And you can go as off topic as you want ... I'm just glad to have such nice food-lovin' friends here on the DIS.
I am coming clean. I lurked through your last two reviews and I just read your "Gastropod" review (due to DGF Lindley's-honeybee30-drooling and snickering). I am a self-pronounced fan. I truly enjoy following you two on your food adventures, and Vegas...the truffle making clock...wow! I want one. I just wanted to say hello and spread some love for your fantastic threads!
Heather
Thanks for de-cloaking, Heather! May I return the compliment and say that I've very much enjoyed reading about your dining adventures with Lindley - they're very entertaining!

Glad you've enjoyed reading my silliness ... I seem to have a never-ending supply.
BTW - we want one of those truffle clocks, too!
Brenda, Thanks for the welcome!
(for some reason I couldn't get the "quote" to work)
I'm about to go and have a Spaten Octoberfest right now, as soon as I can get out of this office

It's been so busy today I didn't even get a chance to get caught up on your report, but as soon as I do, your blog is next on my Must Read list. I am really enjoying your reviews and writing style.
Lynn
Thanks again for reading Lynn! I hope you enjoyed your Spaten .. it sounds pretty good right about now.
Brenda
Love that dress you wore to Narcoossee's I though it was very pretty.
You can see that Jay feels better in that picture than he did in the one the day before, glad he could enjoy dinner. I'm so glad you did this review I've never been to Narcoosse's and have always thought it was inside the GF, I'm much more interested in going there now.
Lynn
Thanks - I like that dress alot, too but it does remind me of curtains for some reason.

Narcoossee's was very good, and I loved the atmosphere and the location on the lagoon - it was very pretty and romantic.
Brenda.....OT but...I am so very curious about what you do in real life...if you don't write for a living you really should consider a change in careers. The world beyond DIS is missing out. You are an absolute hoot. Just my .02.
Thanks so much for that - you just made my evening.
If I could persuade a publishing house that people would actually pay to read my drivel, I might be able to consider a career change, but as yet it hasn't worked.
I spend my days toiling for the soulless dominions of finance ... I'm the assistant manager of our bank's commerical credit department. I do write ... but my end product is a very objective credit / financial analysis of existing and prospective businesses.
It's deadly but it helps pay the bills.
The really sad part about it is that I don't even have a degree in finance or accounting ... I've got a BA in History with a double minor in English and Creative Writing. How I ended up in banking / finance is beyond me ... I think I've blocked it from my memory ...
Anyway, that's probably more than you or anyone else wanted to know but I wanted to give you an honest reply. Thanks again for the kind words.
