Humidity?

Is there anyone there who can tell me if it's been exceptionally humid? We are heading down on Saturday and I just want to plan correctly for the weather. I realize that Florida weather can be all over the place and I've checked forecasts so now I'm just looking for some recent first hand experiences. Thanks!

I'm a FL resident, so I don't notice the humidity as much as I used to.... But I am curious... How does one plan around humidity? Other than a hair-care regime, clothing doesn't really change much.

Edit: oops I just realized you probably mean planning out how to spend your day not planning what to pack - silly me :)

I live approx. one hour from the parks and the weather has been beautiful the past few days, warm with no humidity. I believe there's a good chance it will rain this weekend but it should be nice weather overall. Typically it doesn't start to get humid down here until around the end of March-first of April. Have fun!

I meant a little bit of both actually. :) We are near the mountains in the pacific northwest where there is very little humidity normally but especially during our warm months so even a little bit of humidity means the difference between capris and shorts, t-shirts and tank tops, and socks with tennis shoes or my summer hiking flats. (Also, the hair thing - I have semi-curly hair that really does not cooperate in humid weather.) I grew up in Minnesota so I am well versed in humidity but since moving 10 years ago I have grown soft when it comes to it. ;) We were at WDW in September and, wow!, now that was hot and humid! But, I've never been this time of year so just trying to set my expectations in the right place as far as when to take breaks, etc.

I've been checking forecasts as well, as we're also arriving Saturday ... along with the rain. Typical.

Thank you! Rain is okay - we are very used to that around here! :)

Ah. That makes sense. I only ever wear capris anymore & I'm too fair for tank tops :) but yeah... 3 years in NorCal with like no humidity was crazy - my hair was straight!
The worst humidity-shock I got was coming from CA to GA to see my sister in August. I got out of the airport and she greeted me with "it's like breathing mayonnaise, huh?"... She wasn't far off ;)

Well, that's a perfect description!

For real! So oppressively thick. Nowadays I probably wouldn't notice the change from here (FL near the beach) to there (landlocked muggy Atlanta)

Unless a front passes through and pushes the humidity out for a few days it is going to be humid. Orlando is located less than 90 miles from an ocean both to the East and West.

Yes, there will definitely be humidity but I was more wondering about the severity of it during this time of year. Where we live it could rain (and usually does) at any time of the year but you are more likely to get a week or two stretch of sunshine in late February/early March before it goes back to raining and overcast again until May or June. So, if someone who lives in Florida says that it's humid, I'm going to be prepared for the worst (for me) since they live in humid every day for the most part and probably don't notice it much unless it is severely so. :)

My aunt has lived in Florida since the 70s and still notices the humidity. Every day.
