Huge Strollers

Over the years I have gone to DL and WDW many times with kids in strollers (I had twin girls and now my daughter has twin girls).
We use strollers that are as small as possible and that still meet the needs of the children.
Have we ever accidentally bumped into someone? Of course. We apologize and figure that if that person is nasty to us, it isn't our fault.
This whole issue of strollers is really moot because if a person has paid his entrance fee and is abiding by Disney's rules regarding strollers, then no one can complain.
Some folks just are not tolerant of kids at all, so they cannot be accommodating to parents with kids. If you see a mom struggling to maneuver through a crowded area, why not step to the side and let her pass? Would it really ruin your Disney experience?
Whenever my precious daddy (God rest his soul) would see someone complaining about a kid just being a kid, he would say, "You were a kid once, and you bothered people."
Let's all try to be kind, especially at DL. It's what Mr. Disney would want.

wow this thread is so amusing! popcorn:: Maybe- just maybe, some folks have nothing better to do then to keep criticizing every single comments- even the funny sarcastic ones- do you really need to twist that around and make it into something it was not intended to be? To me the comment about the smart Car and her 22 year old son was very funny sarcastic to lighten up this thread. Get a grip people! Be blessed you have a place to push a stroller around- be Blessed parents use strollers.... man can you imagine living in a place where there was no need of a stroller? No need to even leave your house? Thank God for the person who invented the stroller.... hauling all the kids crap around and the kid good grief.... makes it so nice to have a place to put everything.... AND... heck- some people are seriously at the parks annoyed and have time to study what size backpack you have and what stroller they push? Thats about the most absurd crap I have ever heard so far on these threads! REALLY? Thats what you got out of your Disney trip? The trip you save so much for and want to enjoy- and your annoyed by strollers? ***!!! Go vacation somewhere else- and tell your clients to go somewhere else too- if you can convince someone to buy a certain stroller- heck! yeah I am talking too you! your full of crap... you have insulted way too many folks here- soo many have stated why they need a stroller- for various reasons- and some folks still keep flaming these families. WHY?
I keep reading because I am bored and find this thread amusing LOL - but its getting out of hand.... where are the MODS at? Disneyland? LOL
keep reading about Trolls- not sure what that is to reference on forums but found it funny as heck-as my son is watching Dora and they talking about Grumpy Old Trolls living under a bridge- and in order to pass they have to make him laugh... so laugh this one of Jill lady! Or go somewhere they dont have strollers- and stop telling your clients to buy crap strollers- bet they was miserable!
P.S. I bought my huge stroller just to go to Disneyland! Its a Jeep Jogger style with 3 wheels- the front wheel swivels in and out of tricky situations with ease.... my child is comfortable- its the right height for my husband and I too push.... lots of room with a canopy - lots of storage- under his foot- where we keep our small cooler with fruit punch LOL- and also a seperate basket underneath for our change of clothes, extra shoes, sweaters and a big BACKPACK full of crap. because I am too lazy too walk to the $400 hotel to change and am I also way too lazy to walk to the front of the park and use the lockers. That extra locker fee saved buys me more popcorn for my fat! :rotfl: but. So seriously .......go ahead and flame me now LOL....need something to read.....:surfweb:

OP in regards to your desire to be respectful of others my mother always taught me that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

popcorn:: ... I love a good drama!
IMO .... It's the person more than the stroller itself. I do take issue with those that run into me (it happens even without a stroller) and not apologize .... a simple sorry or excuse me would suffice. Basic common courtesy is beyond some people.

That's exactly what my mom taught me :)

If Disney had a problem with large strollers, they wouldn't have their own strollers the size they are.

It is not anyone's right to judge others or call them disrespectful by the size of their stroller. Line cutters, yes, strollers no. There will always be something "wrong" in ones opinion if you look for it, no matter where you are or what the issue is. Disneyland is a place for families, and with families comes children, and with children comes strollers. We have no right to judge people by what they bring into Disneyland nor what type of stroller they have, nor anything else. This is the happiest place on earth! The world would be a much better place if people stopped judging others, no matter what the circumstance is. Life is too short, be happy, enjoy it, enjoy your family, enjoy your children, I am thankful everyday for my DD, enjoy each other, enjoy Disneyland. What works for some, might not work for others, to each their own. People are allowed to have opinions and suggestions, there is nothing wrong with that, but to flat out call people disrespectful is wrong.

WOW!! Just happen to stumble upon this thread  . . . Let me just say that I am highly disappointed in some people who claim to be Disney lovers. . . . the whole point of Disney is to feel like a kid! Do you think when kids are playing and someone is in "their" space that they get mad? . . . nooooooo kids just run around them and continue to play! So stop worrying about what others or doing and go PLAY . . . life is to short . . . don't let others have control over your enjoyment!

yes yes yes

As far as the trolling comment. I had no idea what that meant so I googled it and based on the very first comment Troll sounds more then appropriate! I say it again why start something so inflammatory and then be so surprised that when you insult a group of people they become offended. :confused3 AND with that I am done. :hippie:

What trolling comment are you talking about? I didn't start this thread. Perhaps you have posters confused.

If you think I am a troll, you couldn't be more wrong. I have been posting to Disney boards since 1995, long before this site even existed.

I wasn't talking about you making the troll comment. I was talking about someone else who made the comment Troll. (I don't care enough to search through the 15 pages on here) I hadn't known what it was until I googled it. I agree that Op is "trolling" on the boards. That is what my point was.

Hi, everyone!

I was hoping to let this thread roll for a couple more days to see if it could possibly get back on track but, truth be told, there have been at least a couple of complaints to us about it getting out of hand, from different people, so it was time to address it.

I'm all for engaging in a healthy debate about something, but when the overall tone of the thread seems to turn negative, and people are starting to annoy or offend each other, it's probably time to wrap it up and call it a day.

So I think the thread has run its course for now and I will close it.:goodvibes
