HTTP 502 error - how to quickly fix by clearing DVC cookies in Chrome/Edge

wow great post scubacat--you really seem to know your way around a computer--
Im hoping maybe you could help me with a problem Im having with my computer
I still do some rewards site--Im sure youve heard of them--you click on ads and then get points or cash--when you get to a certain amount you can cashout out
theres a few Im doing that when I try to log in I get a message
took to long to respond
check proxy and firewall
running windows network diagonics
err-connection-timed-out

have no clue what any of this even means
the sites worked great one day and the next nothing
we tried looking at settings but couldnt see anything there
do you have any ideas of whts going on and how to fix it
of course it happened on my best programs
I have no way of connecting the site since I cant get into it
Ive tried connecting a few of the other sites that the ones that I do are either sister sites of the ones I do or sponsors but no one replies
so do you have any ideas

Changing "sign-out" to "sign-in" in the URL bar seems to work for me as well. It's weird but the "sign-out" page redirecting you to re-login is actually what's broken. That level of incompetence and allowing this to persist for so long is preposterous, but such is DVC life.

I have no idea as I don't use any of those sites. (many are scams). You may want to repost that in the tech support forum as it's not DVC related. Or, another PC support forum might be more useful as well. Good luck!

I have to admit I am not the one who “figured” out the link. It was posted on Disboards previously, but I bookmarked it after I figured out it fixes 99% of the “site issues”. It’s quicker than clearing individual site data or opening an incognito window.

You can just click the padlock to the left of the URL on your browser (works on firefox/chrome) and clear cookies from there.
