Went to the show tonight and it was great. Covered all of 1 and 2. The first act was the first movie and the second half was the second movie. Very cool to see all of it. Some cool souveniers..mostly girl stuff though..I think a boys baseball hat and jacket and shirt but all the rest was girl stuff. (purse, stuffed animals, jewelry, diary, megaphone, pink hat, shirts, pajamas, light up pens, long wandish thing that lights up)
Both of my kids loved it!!

I'm glad to hear that you liked the show. I just bought tickets for my girls for christmas. Hopefully they will like it too!

Cool! I am glad you had a good time. I bought tickets for the family to see it in the spring. Looking forward to it!!

Glad to hear someone else enjoyed the show. We went last weekend. My girls and I loved the show.

EEEEEEEEEE! I'm going to try and get tickets this weekend. Last weekend was the HM concert tickets. I hope there are some good seats still available for Chicago. Does anyone remember if they sing "Music in Me" or 'Fabulous" songs from HSM2?:goodvibes :goodvibes

Every song from both movies was sung. They even added a couple that I did not know to the 1st one.

Are the people in the show singing? or are they just skating to pre recorded music ?

The skaters were lipsyncing to the songs. It would be almost impossible for them to skate and sing at the same time. They really do a great job of recreating the dances on ice along with adding jumps and other skating manuevers.

I'm taking DD8 to see this on Saturday morning...only she doesn't know it yet! I've had the tix since May and it's been killing me to hold it in! She gets her first report card Friday so I hope it's a good one...I'm sure it will be! :cheer2:

I hope you and your DD have a wonderful time. We loved it.

The Skaters are lip syncing. The only skater who's real actual voice that you hear is "Kelsi's" voice. She actually has a mic on, and when she says stuff, it's really her.

The two new songs that you hear in the first half of the show are songs that were written specifically for the stage version of High School Musical. Those songs are called "Cellular Fusion" and "Counting on You"

Hope that helps.

Which one would that be? The one in Richmond? or the one in Long Beach?

Richmond.

I posted a question to you on the other thread...about the pyrotechnics at the end of the show. Is it a loud boom? DD hates loud booms!

I don't know -- we are going to a Chicago show! Although I was looking & it looks like they have TONS of times -- some at the Allstate Arena but then in Feb. I thought I saw a bunch at the United Center.

So, I think you have a good shot at some decent tickets still.

We bought ours *way back when* because we went to the concert and I didn't want to go through that again. Although I don't think the ice show would be that much of a sell-out as the concert was.

Just for giggles & grins the other day I did a search to see if there were still tickets available for Allstate for our show & there were but it had a warning about it being on the side of the stage or something weird like that (the warning made it appear that maybe you have a bit of an obstructed view? I wasn't quite sure what the warning was informing me of. :rotfl2: ).

We are going to a Saturday 11:30 showing (in Jan! No blizzards allowed that day)! I can't wait!!!!!  There is another thread here with some You Tube videos and I know Fabulous is there.

Where is a good spot to see the show? In the middle sections? Is there a "bad spot"?

The rink is oblong/rectangle shaped. We sat in the curve/corner, and the seats were great. The only truly bad seats would probably be those on the side closest to the skaters' entrance to the ice.

Including intermission? We're taking DD & 5 friends for her birthday & I was thinking of really going all out & having a limo pick us up & then drop all the girls at home afterward. I'm trying to figure out how much it will cost based on the length of the show.

TIA
