HS openings this week

Has anyone been at HS this week on a non-emh day? Just wondering if they are really not opening until 9 or earlier? And are guests held then or allowed to start riding rides? Trying to gage how early to line up. Thanks

My few most recent times they’ve done the same thing. Allow you to scan entrance into the park and then everyone is held almost in front of Starbucks. We waited until basically right up until regular park opening time and then they had ride CM’s come out. If you wanted to ride Tower of Terror you followed the ToT dressed ride CM’s, for Toy Story you followed those CM’s. There was no running or anything and if they did open up the park early, it was only by about 5 minutes
