OK~ I have a family of 5 and have reserved the HRH Club Level 2 Queens for December 17-18. My AP rate was $264. I call periodically to check on my reservation and everything has been fine for months.

BUT, when I called last night my reservation was changed to 1 King for a rate of $216 on Club Level. All of my children's names had disappeared from the reservation and it was for 2 adults!! OH, GOOD GRIEF!

Of course, the 2 queens was not available... I decided to change to just one night, but HRH does not allow that and could not be amended since the hotel itself has this policy. As I suggested that I could be very happy to find a Disney hotel to take my money, the nice CM replied :teleport: "Wait a minute..." and Lo and behold a room popped up at PBH for less money and available for one night! So, I guess now we are staying at PBH for $179 for a Deluxe Queen Room.

Who is making all these boo boos over there?

You know how at Hard Rock they always hang up the phone by saying, "Take it easy." Well, maybe someone is taking it too easy! I think you did great though. Portofino is the most expensive hotel and you got it for cheaper! We are staying at Hard Rock 12/24 and 12/25 for $229 a night! Ouch!
The 2 teen girls wouldn't have wanted Portofino, because Hard Rock's "Cool." But you're staying on property for a great rate during the outrageous season! Boy, if I were you, though, I'd be sure to have it in writing. We have an e-mail where our rate and requests are in writing. That way, if there are any problems, we'll show the desk clerk and we can hopefully "take it easy."
Have fun!

My ressie was mysteriously lost and they wouldn't re-instate it until I wrote 3 times and told them I was getting the Orlando Sun-Sentinel involved. Their reservation system is whacked to say the least. They also wanted to put me in the PBH, and I held out. They said I called and cancelled my ressie, I told them to get the tape and prove it. They said calls are only taped for admin purposes and then erased after a week.
They finally re-instated it and things went well after that.

If you ask me, I think they're doing it on purpose based on supply and demand. And it only happens at the HRH. I don't hear about people having these problems at the other hotels.

It is beginning to look that way to me, too! Anyway, like everyone said.. we're on property and we're going to have FOTL passes for a crazy good time! Happy trips to everyone!
