Hi everyone, : :wave2:

I'm new to these boards, although I have been reading them for weeks while planning my trip in May.

We will be coming in late (10:00 pm). :moped: Will I get a rotten room? My Ressies are for a deluxe water view.

Any Suggestions?

Also, It's our 20th Anniv, :lovestruc although we're coming with our three girls. If I mention that will I get any perks?

~ Thanks a bunch

Well that's an interesting question.
I've heard of some who went to check in and they didn't have any rooms available. So they put them in the PBH. Call a few days before and let them know you will be ariving late. I'd even call from the airport after landing from a pay phone while waiting for the luggage to show up.

Don't know about them doing anything nice for an anniversary. Did you sign to get a loews card? You might get a welcome gift if you do that. You could call reservations and ask if they can enter your loews number saying it's your anniversary and you want a welcome gift.

Definitely call ahead and let them know its your anniversary. Then mention it again at check-in. Did you reserve a pool view or a deluxe room? There are deluxe rooms with views of the pool but the view is not guaranteed. Even if the hotel is overbooked you will still have a room because they only over book garden view rooms not pool or deluxe. Request a room on an upper floor to avoid any palm trees obstructing you view of the pool.

We made our Ressies for a Deluxe room for May10-15 (figured we'd come in the night before and get a good start on the 11th).

I called back and told them because We would be getting in late, I wanted to make sure we had a pool view on an upper floor, preferably the 6th. She said she would put it on my reservation.

I'm just afraid that as people check in and upgrade their rooms, we'll get the shaft. :rotfl2:

My husband is self-employed , and this is his first vacation in about 3 yrs.
I want it to be the best it can. I did sign up for Lowes.

Thanks for your replies ~ These boards have been a GREAT help :flower:

Well, this did happen to us but with a twist. We arrived around midnight to check in. The hotel did know we were coming late. Our reservations were for pool view. The problem was that the day we arrived was Saturday and the hotel was booked. The rest of the stay, it was not. The room we got was not pool view at all (was path view) BUT we were given a deluxe room upgrade(still not pool view)for the rest of the stay (3 more days).

I advise that you call and check your room assignment the day before you leave and make sure that you have an unobstructed pool view.
