We booked a "Deluxe Queen" room through Orbitz and was able to snag a 15% discount which was sweet! The orbitz description indicated the room would accommodate 5 guests with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa but what I'm seeing on the HRH website is 2 queens with the option for a roll away at an additional fee. Anyone have any experience they can share? Will we have the sleeper sofa or have to plan on the roll away at an additional $100 for the duration of our stay? Also, if we have to use the roll away, would we have any leverage against being charged for it since the room description indicated a sleeper sofa would be included? Just wondering! Thanks!

The deluxe room should have a sofa bed

The 2 queen room has beds only that will sleep 4

If orbitz described it as 2 queen. Des and a rollaway can be re Ted, sounds like you did not get the deluxe room

If you booked deluxe you should be fine but contact orbitz to find out the category of the room you have

This is the description on my confirmation from Orbitz:
Deluxe room with 2 queen beds. 500 Sq ft living area with contemporary decor and include s pullout sofa. Sleeps up to 5 adults. Deluxe room with 2 queen beds.

But here's the description from the HRH site:
Enjoy plenty of extra living area and comfortable sleeping space. This 500 sq. ft. spacious guest room sleeps up to a maximum of 5 guests with 2 queen beds and an optional rollaway (fees apply). The adjoining sitting area is perfect for grooving with your entourage or relaxing.

sure does sound conflicting...

i have stayed at hrh in the 2 Q rooms and also the 2 Q deluxe rooms.

there are less 2Q deluxe rooms in that hotel than the regular 2Q rooms.

suggest you do a couple of things.

call the hotel and ask them how many deluxe 2Q rooms they have
also ask them if your reservation states deluxe and will you get the deluxe when you check in.

do check with orbitz over the listing they have and the listing that hrh has on its site.
maybe orbitz is working with outdated info?

if you do not get the deluxe room when you check in, you can use star service and ask for bedding to make a pallet on the floor so you don't have to pay for a rollaway bed.

another thought:
the 2Q deluxe is 500 sq ft.
the 2Q room is 375 sq ft.

both of the descriptions you listed are for a room of 500 sq ft.
this is what makes me think you did book and pay for the deluxe room.
but, if you do not receive the deluxe when you check in, ask hrh in advance how they compensate you.
free rollaway?

So are you saying that if I do indeed have a deluxe queen room reserved, then I will most likely have a sleeper sofa? I know that I paid for the deluxe over the standard just based on the room rates on both sites.

I wasn't sure if I could contact the hotel directly - wasn't sure if they treated "3rd party bookings" any differently. Sorry for the questions -- I am just trying to avoid any surprises at check in!

i remember reading in these forums on the darkside when you book with a 3rd party vendor such as orbitz, they make the reservation.

but a reservation is a reservation.
once it has been made by orbitz, you can step in and call the hotel for specifics or room # requests, or add the kids to your reservation, etc.

i do not remember the time period you should wait before calling the hotel direct.
maybe it was a 48 time period?

check with orbitz and see if they made the reservation.
if so, then contact the hotel directly, not the UO booking site but the hotel.

if it were me, i would not want any surprises the day i checked in.
and, i would fret over the situation until i did check in.

for peace of mind, contact hrh and ask them if you book a deluxe do you get the sleeper sofa.
if they say there are no guarantees, ask them if they will provice the rollaway for free and a couple of food coupons for the Kitchen....

All the deluxe queens at HRH have a sleeper sofa. If that is the room you have booked, you will get the sleeper sofa.

Both have the sofa in the photo and in the description.

The picture that damo posted is the type of room that we were in last year when we reserved Deluxe. We have reserved the same room type this year and anticipate staying in the same type of room.

It was very roomy and comfortable.
