All mine up to GOF are paperback.
I would get new ones but I'd still keep the old ones because they are my history! xD
I couldn't part with my first HP books.

I've got 3 copies of SS- 1 hardcover and 2 soft.
Then books 2 and 3 I have softcover.
GOF I think I have 1 in soft and 1 in hard.
Then the rest are hardcover.
I know. I have way too many copies of the books!

I have all of the books in hardback, and I don't keep the covers.
I only have the Deathly Hallows cover and the Chamber of Secrects one, for some odd reason.
I did have Chamber of Secrets in paper back, but it split down the middle from me reading it so much, and I lost my first hardback POA, so my dad got me both of those in hardback for my birthday one year.

Honestly, it really irks me when people complain about the size of the books.
I mean, really.
Breaking Dawn (the last book in the Twilight series) is around 730 pages and so is GOF.
No offense meant to anyone at all.

I've read it before, the size doesn't bother me, I just can't bring myself to read it yet.

I'm the type of person who sits down and reads for 4 hrs straight.

Twilight was a snoozer for me, those books are 500-700 pages of fluff. At least HP has substance and keeps me reading excitedly.

I have SS. CS, POA and GOF in paperback but I need to ditch them. They're really old and missing covers. I have all of the in hardback too. Hardback's the best.


I like the size of the books cause JKR fulls every sentance with something worth reading. And, honestly, if the books where shorter, the story wouldn't be as good. It would be rushed and details would be missing.

I love how the hard books are still unique, even without their cover. The different color, diamond pattern, shiny words. They still look fantastic on the shelf or while you read them.

I still have the covers on mine but I love them more with out the covers. I can't bring myself to throw them out though.

It's not really the number of pages that bothers me, I'd have no problem reading it if it was probably taller and in hardback.
But the structure of it intimidates me more than all the others and it's so thick that I hate the pages flipping over while I'm trying to read.
Like I said I'm fine with reading OOTP over and it's even longer than GOF.
There's just something about the way it's made that I don't like.

I have all of my books....but none of them have their covers on them lol.....I am like OCD with my books....If anyone borrows them they have to take good care of them or else I get MAD and then if people start to touch my books without asking me I get crazy...haha I know....I'm a freak...
