Would that have anything to do with the fact that it was shot with an ISO of somewhere in the 1600 range. :rolleyes1

That was my first trip with my D70 and I though EVERYTHING should be shot with the highest iso possible.

Well I guess I have had it backwards all these years.

I always shot with the LOWEST ISO possible, and only increased ISO when forced to by lighting/shutter speed limitations.

Those pictures look GREAT, spectacular. And getting that color and all at night with fireworks is pretty darn nice.

As far as your thought as to using the highest, usually best to use the lowest that will produce the desired image. But from what I have read here on the boards, a high one is usually needed for those night pictures.

Again, nice. :thumbsup2

Higher ISO is used to help stop action in low light by not requiring as much light to achieve a proper (or the desired) exposure amount. If there is no motion you can use a lower ISO and a longer shutter speed. Though longer shutter speeds can also add noise and should not be shot "handheld" for exposures longer than 1/60.
The lower the ISO the better quality image, In general.

Disney and Jeep Addict...between the two I don't know how I afford to live....

If you added super fast lenses you can lower the ISO as well.....plus add one more to your list :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Yes, I do have three vices. The good thing is everyone in my family enjoys them.

Camera..I have 10,000+ pics of my kids and family at Disney and elsewhere.

Jeep...Not a whole lot can compare to spending a weekend in the woods in the Jeep on 3 (or 2 :rolleyes1 ) wheels.

Disney..Umm, I'm on the Dis boards and have well over 15k invested in my "2nd home"

tjl1388 --- Fun!! We are having the debate as to whether this year's "fun" money should go toward a DVC add on, or a play jeep. We went to our first jamboree last fall and had a blast, but there's only so many places the grand can go, especially with the 3 kids in the backseat!

Buy into DVC and save your money for a cheap older Jeep, Jeeps are MONEY PITS!!!!!!!!!

Put a lift on the grand (ZJ) and wheel it. pirate:

You'da laughed at us, as the rest of the hardcore Jeepers did. In a nice way -- everyone there was super nice. When we checked in, with our shiny stock 2005 Grand, with the wee ones chirping away in the backseat, they told us "You should stick to the basic course -- you COULD go anywhere, but you WILL do body damage!" :rotfl:

The brochure was a bit misleading -- all kinds of Jeeps living in harmony and nice grassy trails for the family wagons like ours. There were quite a few more rocks than we'd anticipated, but got out without a scratch.

No harm done, except that my DVC fund is in jeapordy from dh's desire for a Wrangler! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: He wants an older one just for playing.

Sorry to go OT here --- feel free to PM me if you have any suggestions or tales by which we can live vicariously!!
