How's Our Plan for Aug 8-19 Vacation?

Here’s our tentative schedule for August 8-19 WDW vacation (our second trip).

Tues, Aug 8: Drive from Chicago

Wed, Aug 9: Arrive in Florida. Check in at Fort Wilderness. Set up tent, relax, go to campfire

Thurs, Aug 10: (Rated 9 for Best Days; best park AK; worst MK, EP)
We’re going to MGM

Fri, Aug 11: (Rated 9; best park AK, EP; worst MK,MGM)
EPCOT

Sat, Aug 12: (Rated 8 ; best park MK, EP, MGM; worst AK)
MK

Sun, Aug 13: (Rated 7 ; best park AK; worst MK)
MK (the only day we’re doing extra magic hours. This day will also be a sort of rest day. We’ll spend the day at Fort Wilderness and go to MK for the end of the day)

Mon, Aug 14: Switch to Pop Century for Free Meals
(Rated 8 ; best park MK; worst EP, MGM, AK)
EPCOT (Dinner at Le Cellier)

Tues, Aug 15: (Rated 7; best park MK; worst EP, MGM, AK)
AK (Dinner at Boma’s)

Wed, Aug 16: (Rated 7; best park MGM; worst AK)
MK (Dinner at Kona’s)

Thursday, Friday, Saturday: Leisurely drive back to Chicago, taking time to sightsee along the way.

We basically plan on being there at opening, doing a lot in the morning, taking breaks in the afternoons, and doing easy touring in the evenings. What do you think?

I just wanted to jump on here and say that we are also leaving for Disneworld on August 5th and arriving on the 7th for a week stay. We are staying at POP and hope for great weather and a magical trip!! Hope you have a great time too

Sounds like you have great plans! We are flying out of Chicago on August 9th and heading home on August 14th. Just a quick trip, but still have lots of fun planned too!

P.S. I am jealous that your camping! I love to camp but couldn't convince the rest of the crew!

I was actually a little disappointed because I wanted to stay in a resort! But thanks to the free dining, we can do both.

Looks good to me. We are in WDW from 7/28-8/13 and we will be at the same parks you are from Thursday 8/10-Saturday 8/12. Saturday is our last full day there. I hope you have a great vacation and I hope the weather is good for all of us!
