This is my first time ever making ADR's. I've been to WDW with my parents but haven't been for 10 years and my hubby has never been. We are on the deluxe dining plan. Please make suggestions or any input on what I already have would be appreciated. We are staying at CBR for 7 nights then moving to our timeshare (not DVC) for 3 nights.

I am a breakfast person but my hubby is not. We both love good food and my hubby is a Pastry Chef.

Day one: Magic Kingdom
Breakfast: Crystal Palace
Late Lunch: Liberty Tree Tavern
Dinner: Spirit of Aloha (thinking of canceling so we can stay at MK for wishes)

Day 2: Epcot
Breakfast: ??
Lunch: San Angel Inn
Dinner: Chefs de France

Day 3: Hollywood Studios
Breakfast: ?? either bfast or early lunch as Dinner is an early reservation...
Lunch: ??
Dinner: Mama Melrose for fantasmic

Day 4: 2nd day in Epcot
Breakfast: ??
Lunch: Biergarten
Dinner: Artist Point

Day 5: Animal Kingdom

Breakfast/Lunch ???
Dinner: Jiko

Day 6: Park Unknown

Breakfast/Lunch ???
Dinner: Citrico's

Day 7:
We will be moving to our timeshare so probably no park today
Breakfast/Lunch ???
Dinner: Yachtsmans Steakhouse

Days 8,9,10 will be food OOP no ADR's made.

The restaurants listed are with confirmed ADR's. We are traveling Apr 27-May7.

Also any input on what to eat when we get to FL? Our flight doesn't get in until 10pm and then we are taking the Magical Express to CBR. After flying all day I am sure we will be hungry but we have the early morning ADR at Crystal Palace.

Thanks!
Paula

Is it possible to do bfast and still get to parks at opening? Or are there any restaurants that serve brunch so I can still get bfast and my hubby can get lunch items?

Thanks!

YOu can definatly eat breakfast at a park before the park is open. We are doing that at Tusker House. I would suggest maybe some of the breakfast, eating some snacks or a CS at your resort. We are getting the deluxe and we plan to do that.

If your flight doesn't get in until 10:00PM and then you are taking ME, it will be late when you arrive and many things will be closed by then. Not sure about the Downtown Disney Restaurants or pizza delivery... you might want to eat at the airport.

Just my 2 cents on filling in your gaps:

Day 2 - Try Spoodles for breakfast if you're going before June. It's very good, but not too heavy.

Also, I would reverse your ADRs and do Chefs for lunch and San Angel for dinner. The Chefs lunch is quite good, but not as filling as San Angel.

Day 3 - I would do an early lunch at Hollywood Brown Derby, and grab a snack from Starring Rolls for breakfast. Brown Derby is great for lunch.

Day 4 - I'd take it easy for Breakfast, maybe go to Akershus if you're concerned about getting in the park before it opens, because that's your only option.

Day 5 - Not a good breakfast option in AK except Donald's Breakfast at Tusker House. I'd skip it, grab a snack from your food court, and do Tusker House for lunch instead.

For days 6 or 7, I'm not sure. Try resort places, though. Kona is great for breakfast, and if you go to the MK, you can park at the TTC, walk to the Poly and monorail over to the MK.

That's what I would do, but the main thing is eat what you want and do what you want. It's your vacation! :goodvibes

I have an ADR at crystal palace before park opening. My question that I guess I should have phrased differently is can we eat at a resort besides our own n still get to the park before opening or is it best to eat at the resort?

Eating at a resort besides your own and getting to the park before opening would probably be pushing it/very difficult.

Just my opinion. But I would not cancel Spirit of Aloha. We did this in December and it was one of our favorites parts of our trip.

What about Mama Melrose... I keep hearing not so good reviews of the place. The only reason I booked it was for the fantasmic VIP seating.. Should I keep trying to get Brown Derby or just hang with it?

Also does anyone like San Angel Inn? I am seeing a lot of bad reviews of that place too.

We did it last month and I hated the food, but the show was nice after dinner (cheesy during dinner). I liked Ohana, and we had a nice view of wishes from the window, along with the water parade.

Hollywood studios-we did Sci Fi for lunch and the food isn't the greatest (get the burger w/ onion rings and a shake or vanilla coke), but the atmosphere is cute and it's a nice place out of the heat & crowds.

Animal Kingdom-I really liked the Donald Safari breakfast--good variety (try the egg dish that looks like a quiche), and they have Krispy kremes too. ;)

Never been, but good food is few and far between in DHS. Can you get Hollywood & Vine? It's a buffet so at least there is a lot of selection.
Haven't benn to San Angel either. Our family favorite is Coral Reef. I love the salmon & ratatouille there.

We have not been since 2005-and for us we will not be going back. We had horrible service, the food was bleh, and our service took so long we ended up missing Fantasmic.

I think the seats for the package are terrible anyway and you can get better going on your own. My advice would be eat at the Brown Derby and get your own seats. In my opinion its the only place in DHS worth eating.
