Howard Johnson Orlando Airport hotel

We are staying at the Howard Johnson Orlando Airport hotel for the first night of our trip (this Friday) and wondered if anyone had any ideas about restaurants in the area - I'm sure that we will be hungry as it will be 8.25 pm when we land so our stomachs will still be on UK time!

Hope you have a better stay at this hotel than we did in July. We only stayed there the last night of our trip because of their free shuttle to the airport. If we would have had longer reservations, then we would have checked out immediately.

The room smelled horrible. There were stains all over the walls (some looked like urine). There were dead bugs on the floor. The door did not fit its frame, so we had to stuff the gap with towels to keep out the bugs and noise. Our 8:00 wakeup call came at 5:00. They were doing some remodeling, so maybe you will get a better room.

There is an IHOP at the hotel. I can't remember there being many other restaurants near the hotel. We went to the mall for dinner. It wasn't too far from the hotel.
