So, I'm getting off the Wonder Thursday morning 11/10 and heading over to WDW, by myself. I'll dump my luggage at my resort, BUT can't check in till 10PM (that's when my friend, the AP holder will arrive to check us in). I only have a two day park hopper, so need to save that to use Fri-Sat when I'm with her.

So, what would you do with your day (and swimming is not an option, don't want to drag around a suit and clothes without a room to change/shower in)?

::MickeyMo What about spending some time at Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island (there is separate admission, but it's only $20.00). Downtown Disney has awesome shops and Pleasure Island opens at 7pm. It could definitely help pass the time while doing something "Disney." ::MinnieMo

Check out some of the other Disney hotels that I was not staying in, and have dinner at one of them!!!!!

Already have a dinners planned at Cape May, Boma and Ohana (funny how they all ended up being non-park restaurants) with the group. Oh WAIT!! They're doing Ohana Sunday after I'm gone. Well, guess that's where I'll dine on Thursday......better go check and see when WISHES is, so I can watch it from there.

OK, still need daytime activities!

Dont count out swimmng so quickly. I see from your signature that you are staying at POP. The bathrooms at the pools have a very nice shower ad fre lockers so you could swim if you want and leave the wet stuf inthe locker and come back for it later when you check in. The main pool is especially nice with a great bar. If you dont drink they have a great non alcoholic strawberry daquari that i got for the kids my last trip. I think would either do DTD or swim depending on my mood.

How about doing the Boardwalk area?

If I was doing a solo---AKL: culinary tour (I think its around 3:45pm), the viewing of the critters with the night scope, hanging out by the story teller or one of viewing areas, and shopping.
--GF---loved listening to the music in the lobby, shopping
--CR--shop/eat
--DTD-The Irish pub should be open by Nov.
--The Hoop-de-do dinner show
;) See why I have not done a solo trip.

Oh, I've been wanting to do the AKL culinary tour! Thanks for that ncbelle. And what's this about an Irish Pub????? Would it be a good place for lunch???

Raglan Road is suppose to be opening up soon (it is in PI/free to enter)---I think I read that it might have opening after 3pm. I hope to check it out next week---I hope it has great Irish fare and beers. I have not seen a menu yet.

Lunch ideas---my favorite...Beaches and Cream for the awesome No Way Jose.
NC Beast and I have been trying to visit different resorts to see if we like to stay there someday. We are going to try to see the Wilderness Lodge---he wants to see the gyser and walk around the area.

NC Beast would do Disney Quest if he had a chance. Its on our sometime in the future list.

I would also like to know. I am also on the boards almost everyday and this is the first time I have heard about this tour. :confused3

ALK does a couple of tours, and if I can get my middle-aged brain to work at 6AM....here's what I remember about them. One is sort of an African 'art' tour...it's a tour of the resort and showcases a lot of the art that's on display. The other is the culinary tour and you go into the kitchens and they talk about the food they serve at Boma and Jiko (two of the best places I've EVER eaten). You need to check with guest services as they can only handle a certain number of people and they may not happen every day.

I know what you mean about finding out new things on the DIS. That's why I started this thread. I've been to WDW about 7 times and I'm still finding new things to do (and, apparently, forgetting some stuff I used to know!).
