How would luggage for 16, all on Magical Express, make it to the cabins?

Magical Express would drop us off at the entrance, correct? What happens then? I'm picturing 16 people and luggage on a tram

Then, if we wanted to transfer mid-vacation, do the campgrounds have the same site-to-site luggage transfer service that the hotels do? Thanks!

They have staff that put your luggage on special trams that take it to and from the cabins. Kind of like what you see on the airport tarmac.

Hopefully with all luggage for each person. :scared1:

Actually, I have seen this in operation. You are correct that they drop you off at the outpost up front. From there, you are then responsible for your own luggage and your own transportation to the cabin. I have seen lines of people and their children lugging their luggage to the cabins along the sidewalks. Depending on the cabin it can be a short walk or a fairly long walk. This is when the wheeled pieces ofluggage come in real handy...Just kidding, I actually have no idea how you get to the cabins from the outpost but I am sure someone here knows.

Yep.. I can see it now... Plane arrives late. Magical Express is late. So that has us pulling/dragging our luggage past people in tents trying to sleep at 1 AM. :scared1:

So if we drag that luggage back up to the front, do you suppose they could transfer it over to BWV?

Yes, they will help you get the luggage over to BWV. :)

When Expedition Everest was complete, Disney had a bunch of Sherpa hanging around with nothing to do, so they sent them over to the fort to carry luggage to the cabins. Be sure to tip generously.

All right all!!! If your cabin is ready when you arrive, they will take you to your cabin(s) in a van(s) along with your carryon luggage. Your tagged luggage will be delivered probably by van about 3 hours after checkin. If you don't want to head straight for your cabin, then hand them all your carryon luggage and head wherever you wish and when you get back there all your stuff should be delivered.

The Fort is a resort just like any other with all of the amenities of any other resort, plus a few others (what was the quote from "Vacation" Wilderness fun and outdoor excitement???)

So, if your cabin is ready, you can't get them to bring your luggage when they deliver you? That's good to know, as it will impact what I pack where.

Thanks!

Leslie

If you are arriving on Magical Express and your checked luggage is tagged with the yellow tags, it will Magically be transported to your room approximately 3 hours after you check into the resort. All yellow tagged luggage is pulled from the plane and never makes it to the luggage carousel. It is sorted onto trucks, then delivered to the various resorts, then Bell Services delivers the luggage to the rooms/cabins when it arrives. You DO NOT need to be there when they deliver and inbound tip is handled. You SHOULD pack what you need for the first 6-8 hours if you are arriving during the day, such as a swimsuit or warm weather clothes in your carryon to have that immediately. If you are arriving later in the evening (say after 9pm) and want to just go to bed, then pack what you need to go to bed that night and get up the next morning in carryons and have Bell Services hold your stuff till the next morning.

But, if we're not using ME (we'll be arriving by towncar), will they drop us off along with our luggage, since it will be with us when we get there? That makes more sense and will help the whole packing thing.

Thanks for your help!

Leslie

Yes, if you are arriving by towncar, your luggage will be with you and it will be carried to the cabin with you. Sorry about that, the original question was about DME.

You're totally right, and somehow I inadvertently hijacked the thread into something else. Sorry, and thanks for the info!!
