I'm sure this topic has been talked about, but when I did a search, all that came up was booking with multiple families or where to get autograph books.

Usually, when I travel, I book my own vacations through expedia or travelocity. I find that booking directly through the hotel's website is more expensive. Is Disney the same?

I'm a family of five, flying out of Chicago around May 28th until June 3rd. . We will likely be staying at Port Orleans or Art of Animation. The Disney website quotes me $5187 for room (POR), tickets, direct flights and dining plan. This includes the special of 25% off for moderate resorts.

I have an email into a travel agent, but after her intital "I'll get back to you"....she hasn't gotten back to me.

Does this quote sound reasonable? Is there a better way to book?

Sometimes you can get hotel deals through one of those sites but I find I get a better deal with disney directly. We live local so we drive but I think most people who fly do it seperate from disneys site. They will search for the best price. Your quoted price sounds about right since you have the dining plan too.

Is that flights booked through Disney? If so you are going to be able to better on flights through the airlines or Orbitz depending on the airline. Without the flights its probably reasonable and with the spring discount you won't be able to do better.

I just noticed you said Chicago. I'd price southwest out of Midway. It should be pretty reasonable.
