Hi,

this might help someone.

We were at Animal Kingdom Pizzafari June 8 and I ordered an adult meal and 2 Kids pizza meals and the cashier gave me 2 vouchers and each voucher included 2 coupons for:

1 drink and 1 ice cream anywhere in Animal Kingdom.

That was a pleasant surprise. I do not know if this is just a promotional thing or a regular thing for ordering kids meals.

My daughter got a gatorade at a soda stand and also a mickey ice cream.

My son got a bottle of sprite and a strawberry swirl ice cream.

So don't forget to order those kids meals at Pizzafari.

;) ;)

All of the meal plus vouchers at AK include an entree, side and drink, another voucher for a drink later and one for ice cream or popcorn. Thats what makes them such a good deal. I am suprised your dd got gatorade. My ds tried to get one last Sept and it had to be soda or water.

Hi,
4greatboys,

I wanted to clarify that I didnt have any kind of vouchers when I walked in to purchase my meals.

I just paid cash for my adults meals and kids meals and the lady just handed us 2 vouchers each worth 1 drink and 1 ice cream.

I do not know if that is the norm but it sure was a nice surprise.

My 5 yr old got a gatorade/powerade bottle from those walk up carts.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: maybe it was her smile i dunno :bounce: :bounce:

Ps: nice to know someone from Pearland area. I am in Spring,Houston;)

Do you have your receipt? Do you know what you paid for the kid's meals? It may be that you were charged the AK Voucher price for the kid's meals. The Animal Kingdom meal vouchers for kids are $5.99 (include the meal of pizza, carrot sticks, drink; plus the ice cream and drink coupons as well). If you paid less than that, you did get a bonus for some reason.

You can purchase AK meal vouchers at any counter service restaurant at AK. It may be that the CM that took your order assumed you'd want the meal vouchers for some reason.

The meal voucher, drink voucher and the ice cream/popcorn voucher are $11.99 for adults, $5.99 for kids.

hi,

Yes it was around $5.99 for a childs pizza, drink and something else I cannot remember and she gave me a voucher. I just read from the board on top of the counter and just ordered a kids meal. I didnt know that you could get a bonus voucher. Great deal. I sure was surprised. :bounce: :bounce:

It would seem that the CM either:

1) thought you asked for the AK Meal Deals (which charges you a fixed price and gives you a voucher to cover a meal/drink, as well as the ice cream and soda vouchers you get), or

2) realized that what you were ordering would cost as much as (if not more than) the cost of the AK Meal Deals and charged you that way for the food, allowing you to get the additional ice cream and soda vouchers.

If the CM pulled a number 2 on you that was pretty cool. It is not every day that you see a cashier somewhere actually make sure the customer buys something via the most cost effective means. Usually they will give you what you ask for, regardless of whether there is a way to buy the same thing that would be better for you.

As for the AK meal deals, this can definitiely be the case. The cost of a kids chicken nugget happy meal and a drink in the AK is more than the cost of the kids meal deal. If you get the meal deal you pay less AND get the ice cream and soda.

We did the meals plus certificates last year. At Pizzafari it is the same price if you purchase a kids meal or a kids meal plus certificate. They both are $5.99. I was comparing my meal to my DS kids meal. He got the same size pizza but smaller drink plus he got chips for half the price of an adult meal.

At Pizzafari the kid's pizza meal costs $5.99...the same price as the kids' Meal Deal. I'm guessing that since they are the same price the CM charged you for the Meal Deal and you, therefore, got the extra coupons. At other FF places in AK the kids' meals are less than $5.99 so this probably wouldn't happen.

Just a thought.

Whatever the reason, GOOD FOR YOU. Glad you enjoyed it.

Maybe someone sprinkled some pixie dust on you!!!!
