How to use FP+ machines in parks?

Posting this as I always feel dumb with needing CMs to help me with the FP machines in the parks. For example, if you miss a FP time and it's after your initial 3 times have gone through, how do you add something as a 4th as opposed to just changing the one you missed? (Especially important in parks with tiered attractions in FP). If you can think of any other snags we may run into, please offer advice on that as well.

Just go to the kiosk, and it will let you pick a single FP+. I believe it provides a list of attractions that are available, and you choose which one you want. I believe it will list available times too. You may or may not need to scan the MBs for your entire party. I always seem to have to do this, but something makes me think it shouldn't be necessary.

Chances are there will be a CM standing over you anyway. It's not like the old insert ticket machines and you might miss an opportunity if you don't get some assistance.

If you have a smart phone or a FP+ kiosk nearby, you can change the time or experience for the attraction your going to miss. That way you still get your 3 and can get a 4th later. I've been able to reschedule FP+ at the last minute. Haven't ever tried after the time expired though.

Thanks for the responses. So far I've always had to tell what FP we were trying to get to CMs for them to be able to have it show the options I wanted it to. Supposedly there's a button somewhere for a new one after all the times have gone through even if you missed one but I haven't seen where it is

If you can't do that, then there's either a problem with the way you set up your MDE account(s) or
there was an infamous GLITCH in the system for you.

Should be same principle as long as linked as family and friends on mde.

We have an extra set of bands on a separate MDX account that don't have ticket media. I think those are the ones that require me to scan everyone everytime, but I usually get 3 on each immediately and don't come back.
