For two days we've been getting collect calls from Twin Towers Correctional facility.

Anyone know how to stop these calls? Is this some kind of prison game of phone tag?

And no, my past is not coming back to haunt me.;)

This is going around our area because a friend's family is getting the same calls. The correctional facility is is Los Angeles, we're in Mississippi.

sorry, I had the wrong number:confused3:rolleyes1

um, don't accept the call? get caller ID?

you call the facility and tell them you want it to stop... easy as that!!! I had the same thing happen and walla it just stopped! you may will have to be patched in to the right people but call the information line and say I don't want any phone calls from your facility and boom it will stop!

ginna74, I googled and got the same number for the TTC. The sheriff's department told me to call Global Tel-Link, which is the prison inmate phone system. The man I spoke to said something like, "oh, they're at it again."

On hold now with Global. It takes less time to get through to Disney Dining!

hope it works out for ya though !

voila

definately call the facility.they'll put a stop to it. i think they put a block on your phone number or something like that.

Of course I'm not accepting the charges. It's an annoyance with the phone ringing every half hour all day and into the evening for two days straight.

Bottom line, from what I was told, the facility itself has nothing to do with phone calls. This surprise me. My mom has been a director of nursing for over 15 years in the prison system and she said that everywhere she's worked the outgoing phone calls that could be placed from an inmate were only numbers that were on the inmates phone list. They aren't allowed just to make random calls. Sounds to me like the inmates at the Twin Towers Correctional are not being monitored adequately.

The prison inmate phone service Global-Tel is the company in charge of TTC's prison phone calls. I finally got through to them to block my number. Which they said will take place within 48 hours.
