How to start the day in DCA?

Hi, we (DH, DS13, DS8 & I) are heading to Disneyland for the first time in August, staying onsite. I had a sort of plan in my head for DCA, but now RSR is connected I'm not sure if there is a better way. Our priorities for the morning are RSR, TSMM, Soarin', Mater & Luigi. I am thinking we need to head to TSMM first, then across to Carsland to do Mater and Luigi, get RSR fastpasses as soon as we are able to and Soarin' FPs when our window opens again? Or should we get Soarin' FPs first, or would the Soarin' queue not be too bad without FP? What do you all think?

That seems like a good plan
Soarin' FP will be available later, so get RSR FP first.

Although you can use the GCH entrance to DCA, it is generally better to use the main entrance at park opening

Head to TSMM
Ride Soarin (standby should be short in the morning)
Get RSR FP
Do Mater's and Luigi's anythime you are in the area.

Hi! Sorry to hijack the thread. I'm having a similar dilemma though my family is all adults and we are staying off site. Would this plan work even if there was MM?

My original idea was:
Grab Soarin FP
Ride TSMM
Ride a few more PP attractions until Soarin FP opens
Get RSR FP before riding Soarin
Then work our way around the rest of the lands/rides starting in Cars Land

RSR first, TSMM second, (you are still in EMH at this point), if soarin' is open, do it, otherwise grab FP (they may not distribute if not open), and then Maters.
