We are taking my son and 3 of his friends and will be staying in the Royal Pacific. Is there any way to save some $ on the food that that these guys will eat? We are already getting 2 rooms for 2 nights, plus tickets and feeding them 3 meals per day could be very expensive (especially since they can charge to the room at the restaurants. Can you order pizza or other food in to the rooms from outside or is it just room service at the on site hotels? Any suggestions on saving some $ would be appreciated.

You can order pizza and have it delivered. Also for breakfast you can buy milk, cereal, donuts, pop tarts and the like. That is the best way to save money.

If you belong to AAA, bring your card with you. Most of the restaurants in the parks and in City Walk give a ten percent discount on all the food with the AAA card.

If u are looking to save $ do not use room service its pretty pricey at the Islands get the kids buffet dinner $4 well worth it and adults order from main menu which is also reasonable buy stuff in from grocery store or bring some cearal etc from home at the parks Louies in USO do full pizza $16 to share pretty big slices also the chicken wraps at Cafe LaBamba also USO are big enough to share in IOA its the same at Burger Digs and superhero cafe etc plenty of places to find good value meals also buy a souveneir refillable cup about $5 they do do more exp ones but the refills are $1.34 all time u use cup at both parks so get one and share remember do not get ice that way more juice

Are you renting or bringing your own car?

If so, there is a Publix just north of USF. Buy a styrophone cooler in the beer isle, and stock up on milk, juice, doughnuts, chips, soda, and of coarse, beer. They also have subs in their deli that are huge, can easily feed two kids. When I drive up in a month, I'm bringing two coolers. Pull up maps.yahoo.com and print this map for Publix.
4606 S. Kirkman Road
Orlando Fl 32811
It's at the NW corner of the intersection.
Click S (South) 4 times and you're at Universal where you see Major Blvd to the left.

Next, order pizza in from Flippers. They'll come to the lobby and call you when they arrive. It's ok to do this.

Pick the one on Universal Blvd or Kirkman road.

Look for coupons for pizza at the airport, any motel lobby, etc. You might be able to find some you will find useful....pizza and more. ::yes::

There are off site pizza places that will deliver. THere are off site buffets that others have talked about. You do not have to get charging privleges on all of the room keys.

We always have cereal, pop tarts, cheese, lunchmeat and bread on hand. This will usually get us through breakfast and lunch and we feel that we can splurge a bit on dinner that way.

Also, my 11 year old feels like a king if we let him get a smoked turkey leg for dinner (about $5) while we go elsewhere and he heads to the pool.

Here's another vote for Flippers Pizza. We ordered from them last month and they were really good. The prices were reasonable as well.

We also ordered Flipper's Pizza and liked it. It ran about $30 for plenty of pizza to feed my family of 6.

We keep breakfast food in the room and also a loaf of bread with peanut butter and jelly. Sometimes we are so tired that a sandwich is all we want. We spend very little for our family considering how much it could cost if we ate every meal out. We also bring snacks into the parks to help when the munchies set in.

I buy McDonald gift certificates and set them aside for vacation. I also found coupons for orlando mcdonalds www.mcfun.com can save 15percent of order or one free kids meal with purchase of adult meal.

I also have been saving my stickers from subway. Every time you get eight stickers you get a free 6 in sub with purchase of a $1.29 drink. I have saved these for the Airport. We can use these coupons to get our meals to take onto the plane. I have enough for 5--6in subs.

I went to Big Lot's ( a local closeout store) and bought 2 liter water bottles for only 38 cents each. generic brand. And I also got our breakfast cereals. They had several different bags of the travel size cereal bags.( coco puffes, cherrios, and cinnamon crunch toast cereal)

How big are the souvenier cups you can buy? Oz. wise I mean? Are they worth it?

We were just going to bring in bottles of water and refill them at water fountains and stuff.

I find the water in Florida to taste a bit "strange". If you are going to refill bottles at the water fountains, I recommend buying the Britta Sport water bottles. They have a filter at the top of the cap that takes out all bad odors and tastes. You can get them at K-Mart or WalMart, etc.

We actually have one and I believe an extra filter. Thanks for the tip:)

One night, get in the car and go towards Diz on I-4.

Get off at exit 68 and bear to the right.

Go past Cross-roads shopping plaza and the next intersection is Palm Parkway

Make a right and down on the right is Ce-Ce's Pizza.

It is $3.99 AYCE pizza place. My kids beg and beg to go all the time.

This Pizza is fair, they have a salad bar and dessert pizza included in the price.

You can special order any combination and they will cook and put out on the buffet too.

Get breakfast at the bakeries inside the parks. Big croissant egg sandwhiches, very good and filling. Hop on the boat over to PBH and visit the deli. You can get pizza there as well as sandwhiches and salads. I thought it was very reasonably priced and the food was good. Stop by the pool for a swim while you are there.
