"How to rule the World in five days" ** Our very last trip to Disney.. Completed !

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME????"
"I tried !!! What did you want me to do, yell "rubber" at you???"

Grumpy likes to speak proper English. Favourite, neighbhour, perhaps, rubber.
Shan't we all, Niles?

Red with shame, I quickly abandonned my toy and asked for the bill. Ouchie, that meal cost me more than Cali Grill !!

We left Fulton's and I was ready to SHOP. The stores would still be open for an hour and I fully intended to take advantage of that.

First, World of Disney. Grumpy must have still been a bit drunk because she begged to pose next to Aurora. I obliged.

Is it me or does she look loaded????

We spent a good 45mns inside World of Disney and I have absolutely no idea what I bought. Oh yeah, some Hannah Montana stuff. They put it all in the "Princess" section of the store, next to Bibbodi Boutique, which was thankfully closed at that hour. I grabbed a Hannah Montana mousepad and a few more silly things but couldn't find what I had wanted : a Mickey head shaped hair clip. They put it in the kids hair at BBB and I wanted one to wear at work. No luck here tonight :( We did find the "princess" ears Grumpy had been wanting for quite a while.

Grumpy was totally gone by the time we came out, but I wanted to go to Goofy's Candy Co and Days of Christmas before we left, because I didn't know if we'd ever have time to come back. So I sat her next to the Carousel with her bags, and went to the shops by myself.

In Goofy's I bought mostly cookies and a few treats for friends back home.A couple of chocolate covered strawberries for Grumpy, and marshmallows covered in sprinkles for both of us. At Days of Christmas I knew exactly what I wanted : I'd seen a teacher ornament and wanted it for Grumpy. I was supposed to wait until Christmas time to give it to her, but barely lasted a week. I also got a cute naughty/nice Stitch ornament.

Okay, done shopping. Which is a good thing because the stores were closing. I gathered up our bags and my Grumpy and we went to the bus stop where we waited forever for a bus back to the Poly. THREE buses came for Saratoga Springs - which is walking distance from DTD -but we didn't make it on a bus to the Poly until midnight.

At the Contemporary, a young man on an wheelchair was loaded on the bus. He used a computer to talk and was having a conversation with two other ladies, asking them if they were having a good time, what their favorite colors were, etc... Well on the back of the bus a lot of three f..... morons (sorry there is no other word for that) kept going "Timmy!!! Timmy!!!!".
I wanted to go back there and slap them silly. If you don't know who Timmy is, he's a character on South Park who is in a wheelchair and the only thing he can say is his name, Timmy.
The ride between CR and Poly never seemed so long. Grumpy could see I was getting angrier and angrier, so she whispered to me that the young man wasn't hearing them OR had decided that they weren't worth responding to, so not to make a scene.

When we stopped at the Poly, as I was getting off the bus, I purposely jabbed my elbow in one of the guys ribs. Oopsie, my bad. Did that hurt? Okay, NOT the most mature reaction in the world but those were ADULTS for Pete's sake !!!

It was almost 1am when we reached our room and we pretty much fell asleep the second we hit the pillow.

The next morning, we wanted to go to Epcot's early magic hour AND we also had to check out and back in before we left. See because we were going during 2 different AP discount periods, I had to make two separate reservations which meant we had to check out/check back in halfway through our stay.

Here's what a sleep deprived Grumpy looks like, people !!

We did our best but didn't make it to Epcot until 8.15am.

Let me tell you, 15mns makes a HUGE difference on morning EMH days. The wait time for Soarin' was already shown to be 45mns on the times board, and by the time we reached The Land, it was 60mns. We got a set of Fastpasses and headed over to Test Track, which had a 30mns wait. This time, no chickening, Grumpy HAD to come with me. After all, she'd done Tower of Terror, and Test Track is nothing next to that.

Unless you're my mother and the thing that freaks you out is speed.

It's been two months, but I'm fairly certain I still have the scars on my arm where her nails digged into my flesh. She was also doing her usual I'm-scared-to-death-but-too-proper-to-scream "ooooh oooooo ooooh" which of course did nothing but make me laugh like a lunatic.

We exited the ride and Grumpy was still holding to my arm. Until she let me go - she needed that hand to beat me with her purse!
"NEVER AGAIN! Are you NUTS! This was worse than Everest!!!"

She still accepted to do Mission Space next, but did warn me that if it moved too fast she was spending the rest of the day at the quiet pool. Well, she loved Mission Space and would have done it again if the wait hadn't been so long. Yep, 30mns for Mission Space at 9am...
We went back to The Land and went to see the Circle of Life movie because it was still not time for our Soarin' FPs. I love that movie, it makes me want to bawl... but not to the point where I'm gonna stop using disposable napkins though.

Finally it was time to soar. We were in the third row this time but still enjoyed our ride. I still love Soarin' but we've done it so many times, it doesn't WOW me as much as it used to.

It was a bit after 11 when we left The Land. We were both starving, having left our room at 7am without breakfast. I had gotten an ADR at Coral Reef but it was for 12.30pm. No way would we wait that long... Grumpy wanted to cancel the reservation and go eat now at Sunshine Seasons. We were so close to the restaurant, and I really loved the food there, I asked her if we could at least see if they'd seat us early.

The checkin guy wasn't too thrilled about it but he did agree to sit us as early as possible, which turned out to be a whole 10mns later. We were so hungry we barely looked at the aquarium !!!! Our server brought us bread which we literally shoved down our throats the second he turned around, ordered appetizers which we never do, and wolfed down our entrees. Only then did I remember there was an aquarium in the restaurant...

"Hey, look at the fish!"

Grumpy looks down at her empty plate...

"What fish???" :fish:

Coming up : we meet Sleepy and The Exclavagist!
