"How to rule the World in five days" ** Our very last trip to Disney.. Completed !

Wow you guys sure know how to burn the candle at both ends - I take my hat off to you :worship:

Here's my 'evil' side coming out (the one who couldn't wait to hear more about the torture your sis and her friend inflicted on the two of you) ;) I really want to know about the next day, you just put things in a funny perspective :rotfl:

Seriously I'm just so glad you had a better trip - and another one coming up soon

Looking forward to more - it'll help kill the next 7 and a half weeks :yay: :yay: :yay:

Great update! :thumbsup2

L'esclavagiste = my guess would be "the enslaver." ???
And that's pretty darn funny.

Actually, Snow White WAS a princess, both before and after marriage, as her dad was a king.

And, technically, she only enslaved the woodland creatures. The only thing she made the dwarves do against their will is wash their hands. LOL

Looking forward to the rest!

I can't believe that just everyone doesn't know that!

I am completly clueless as far as princesses go !!! When every other kid was reading fairy tales, I was in the middle of my Bettleheim phase. Yeah, your basic normal kid.

Didn't even know SW was married. I assumed she was living in sin, probably because of the apple thing ...

What is Bettleheim? :confused3

LOL I never thought of that!!

You have a point there Marina. Living in the woods with 7 little men does make you wonder.

You really should study up on Disney Princesses. You never know when they might hit you with a test at the MK main gate.:scared:

Yah, what is Bettleheim?

OK, I know who Bettleheim was. This is not a name that American Children grew up with.

You're never too old to learn something new I guess.

Marina! Where are you? I am hanging on the edge of my seat for an update. Please hurry before I fall off my seat!

Oh, Marina! You are the reason I started to come to the DisBoards! Is everything okay? Are you posting elsewhere? Please don't stop writing!

Ok, I'm signing up. I read your kill my sister report & loved such an honest report. It was so real. So today I was trying to get in the Disney mood as we leave in 4 weeks & I'm up to date with my own pre-trippie so there was no point in writing in it. I was looking at TR's trying to find one I wanted to read. And what did I find? Your new report! With no cranky sisters & tired Jessicas involved. Yippee!

Anywho, I don't want to miss any so I'm popping in to say hi & keep it coming! 4 weeks is a long time for me to have to wait & every once in awhile when I'm reading your report I get little butterflies in my tummy that scream, "You'll be there soon....."

Marina,

I've gone to Disney World for a week and have been home a week. Where are you?????

I checked every trashcan in MK and asked if it's name was Trisha but it wouldn't answer me....

Marina!!! Did you fall off the face of the earth? We are missing you and your tales of Grumpy!!! Please write more soon!!!

I'm here !!!

I've worked every day for the past couple weeks and would just go home at night, crash in bed and think "I gotta update my TR before they all leave me!!!" :rotfl:

Thanks for your patience everyone I *will* get at least one update done today.

(Warning : this will be a very short, boring, almost picture-less update)

Our late night at MK had been great, but it was hard getting up the next morning. We didn't have much planned for that day though : a late breakfast at Kona, shopping at the Outlets, and either Fantasmic or evening EMH at AK.

I had agonized for weeks (okay, months) over what to do that night. It would be our last opportunity to see Fantasmic for a while, but AK had evening EMH and we'd never seen the park in the dark. What should we do ??? Decisions, decisions!!!!

Either way, the first thing to do that day was get out of bed and that was easier said than done. I wanted to finally try the Tonga Toast at Kona and so I literally rolled out of bed, onto the floor, and crawled into the shower.

We made it to Kona a bit late for our ADR and ordered our breakfast. Tonga Toast for me, and macadamia/pineapple pancakes for Grumpy, with a side of fruit to share to ease the guilt. I also tried their special fruit juice.

It was heavenly. It was like pouring sugar directly from a bowl into my mouth for half an hour, and topping it with honey and maple syrup.

After that we took a cab and went over to the Premium Outlets. Usually we're done shopping in 2 hours, tops. But since our next trip they had moved some of the stores, and we couldn't find what we were looking for. We were there over 4 hours. It's not an indoor mall and it was HOT. I was feeling sick, but didn't want to tell Grumpy who was busy spending her life savings on T-Shirts.

Gap, Skechers, Guess, Coach, Character Premiere,Claire's, Dooney and Bourke, Nike, Timberland, Reebok, Bebe, KB Toys...
... we had to stop shopping when we ran out of hands

Back on a cab we go and off to our room. My head hurts. I feel like puking.

Grumpy almost gives me a heart attack when she say she doesn't want to go to the pool
That's like Mickey saying he doesn't want to go to Magic Kingdom.

"I feel so yucky."
"Me too!!"

We crash on our beds. I shouldn't have worried about whether we should go to Fantasmic or AK. We didn't do either. Around 4pm I woke up and called Dining to cancel our Boma reservation for 5pm and got one for 9.40pm instead - just in case we did feel up to it after all.

We fell asleep again and didn't wake up 'til 8pm !!!! Going to Boma sounded good, I was craving salad and Boma has a ton of great ones. So we took a cab to AKL and since we were early, spent some time in the gift shop. I found an AKL shirt in my size - YAY - and a bunch of silly things I've yet to use. The resort was beautiful as always, although it was already too dark to see any animals.

When we got to Boma I was shocked to realize I couldn't even LOOK at the dessert pod. Usually I start drooling over the Zebra domes on the elevator. This time, just thinking about them - or any other dessert - made me physically sick. The mere idea of sugar turned my stomach. For someone who lives on sugar every day that was one weird feeling.

Grumpy filled three plates with only meats. I dined on salads, rice, mac'n'cheese and chicken nuggets. None of us went even close to the desserts. We got watermelon and pineapple, and could only manage the watermelon. Even pineapple felt sickly sweet that night.

We went back to the Poly and swam in the quiet pool for a long time before returning to our beds. I was disappointed that we had basically lost a day of our vacation and to this day still blame it on our Kona breakfast. Never again. It was our fault for getting only sugary stuff and then heading to an outdoor mall at the hottest time of the day. But when you only have five days of vacation to begin with, losing one is a big deal.

We only had one full day left and I definitely wanted to make up for today!

Yay! She's back!!!!!!!!!

Ick on the sicky sweet Kona breakfast. But you guys obviously needed a rest, so I think the "lost day" was a good idea!! Next time, get Kona's eggs benedict. It is yummy, and not so sickening! (Love me some Kona b-fast..)

Thanks for the update Marina! Good to know you haven't given up on us!:thumbsup2
