We left Epcot, Grumpy ignoring my pleas to ride Spaceship Earth. I believe it's the one and only ride we had yet to try at Epcot and I was determined to do it by the end of the trip. Not today though. The wait time was an incredible 45mns!!!
So we went back to our beloved Polynesian, and my mom of course went straight to the pool. I spent our afternoon break reading on the beach, packing, and waiting. I was bored to death when finally, it was 5pm, and Grumpy agreed to get out of the darn pool and go to Magic Kingdom with me.
We decided that since we were going to be sitting on the floor we could dress extra comfy. So Grumpy & I wore our matching tie-dye WDW shirts... and I convinced my mom to wear her brand new ears! She called it her "veil".
Don't she look prutty???
We hopped on the monorail and entered MK. People were already taking spots for Spectro, and we really wanted to see it upclose this time so I suggested we do the same.
First, we had to find Trisha.
Trisha is Grumpy's new best friend. Thanks to her, she can sit on the curb for a long time and not feel like her spine is going to come out of her....
backside area.
Trisha is on the right side of the street, not far from a vending cart, a few steps away from Casey's (on the opposite side). Trisha was there!!! Waiting for us !!!! We were thrilled.
I don't have a picture of Trisha. But ya'll know what a trash can looks like, right?
Grumpy hugged the trash can - nah, she didn't, but she wanted to! She sat down and I decided now would be the time to go over to Splash Mountain and get FPs. Grumpy was instructed to stretch her butt as far as it would go and keep a space for me. When I came back with (what would turn out to be useless) FPs people were surrounding our spot and I could barely squeeze my giant butt next to my mom. Lesson learned, once you have your spot, sit down and don't move!
Oooh it's dark! Spectro is gonna start very, very soon!
I got my wish. We got to see Spectro from upclose, no one to block our view, and it was incredible. I even managed to get some not-too-bad-for-night-shots pics.
It was almost the end and Grumpy spotted Snow White.
Now it might seem odd that someone nicknamed Grumpy would loathe Snow White that much. My Grumpy has a perfectly logical explaination for this.
Snow White is a spoiled not-even-princess who uses poor eager to please dwarves to do all the chores while all she does is eat apples and sleep.
Hence, Snow White is
L'esclavagiste as far as my mother is concerned.
And there was Snow White, holding Sleepy's hand, heading our way!!!!
Grumpy was terrified. "Oh no, she saw me, she wants an 8th slave!!!" and hid behind my shoulder.
Snow White came right to us and talked to us "Excuse me,would you mind helping me ? My friend can't seem to wake up!"
So we got to pat Sleepy's hand and talk to him until he was awake enough to go on his way. He was adorable !!!!
"Wow, Snow White was nice!!!"
"See, she isn't so bad after all... she didn't even try to recruit you for dwarf duty!"
The rest of the night was great. After Spectro was Wishes, then we took full advantage of the evening EMH. We rode Buzz Lightyear, Stitch, Small World, Peter Pan, PhilarMagic, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, and finished off with Pirates of the Caribbean where we had a whole boat to ourselves. Then we shopped on Main Street until we realized the CMs wanted us to hurry up and leave... it was close to 2am.
Overall it was a great day. I was thrilled that we had succeeded in doing both morning EMH at Epcot and evening EMH at MK.
What I didn't know, is that we would pay for it the next day.
