How to request items for room before check in?

Staying at Boardwalk in a couple days. I would like to know if its possible to request a fan for the room before check in? I had a fan brought to the room on my last stay in September at CC.

They can only put something in your room once you get a room number. A note on the reservation can and will not be seen by housekeeping.
Once you get to your room , dial housekeeping to put in a request.

If there is one available they will bring it to you. It's not something they typically have unless it was left by another guest.

I've requested a fan the last two times I stayed at Wilderness Lodge. Both times, it was brought up within 15 minutes of my request.
