How to question about autographs...

I was planning a doing a different format for my kids autographs books this year. I thought of this idea, but do not know if this is possible. Can someone tell me if this is possible and if so, how do I do it?

I plan on having the characters sign on plain white paper. When I return from WDW, I will scan the signatures into my computer. From there, I thought I would make up our trip book by digital scrapbooking. I wanted to know how I could make the background of the signature disappear, so when I insert the signature onto my photo or page, the background shows through and is not a big white background. Is that possible?

Yes, it is possible. You can do that in Photoshop elements (and probably any other photo editing software). Once you bring up the image, double click on it to unlock the background. Then you can extract the signature from the background using the magic wand tool.
