how to photo enhance?

I just found this board a few days ago and I am so in awe of you all. The designs are beyond words. My question is this..I think I see the concept of photo enhancing, but how do you guys do that? How do you incorporate your photos with the designs? Is this just a scrapbooking thing?

No, it is not just a scrapbooking thing. You can use different programs for photo editing to place your picture on the page and then insert the photo enhancement graphic on top of the picture. Most computers (or digital cameras) come with some type of photo editing software.

Most of the new photo enhancements made are transparent where the picture would be because they are saving them as .gif files. If you find an enhancement that is not transparent, send a private message (pm) to the designer (or post on the photo enhancement thread).
