How to make $3600 on your disney vacation! WE DID!! NEW 9/3*The Epilogue, DONE* p. 54

Okay, so here is the thing. We leave again for the Diz in less than 5 weeks. That is good news for two reasons. Obviously any trip to the Diz is good news. The real kicker is that I need to have this trippie done before I head out. So the end now is in sight. It has to be. I have to address a lot of people here. I am doing that now and then starting to pen the next chapter of pee wee's big adventure! You all have helped me forge on. A collective and heartfelt thank you goes out to all the posters, and to all the people who have pmed me, and to all those reading as well. Merci beaucoups!

A Goofy Mom- glad you caught up and hope you enjoy the rest!

SlightyGoofy- Are you sure you are reading my trip report? Your words just cannot be pointed towards me. They are too too kind. Thank you, sincerely. Have you taken to drink? And please do not pass until I finish….

GreatBiscuit- What a compliment that I intrigued you. But now I have pressure to perform, and perform well. Yikes!

Lindababe- Thanks for the wisdom and encouragement. Will you please come declutter my house?

Hucifer!- You awesome trippie writer you. Listen, we did lots of counter meals, and I ate anything that hadn’t grazed on corn, wheat or grass before becoming a food source. I never took notes on this trip, and truly remember little about the food. Our kids eat like little parakeets and hop like Mexican jumping beans, so the dining plan this trip wasn’t in the cards. However, I promise to do a more full dining report when I return from our trip in August. Thanks for all the sweetness….

Lonegirl, mousefansmom, sbpuckett, Disneybotz, Cper’s mom, Angelrose, banabelle- Thanks so much for posting and subscribing….

Swilshire- a friend of mine would denote you a luddite. I suspect he would be correct. Thanks for appreciating my tale, even if you refuse to enter the 21st century!

Megcellent. How are you? I have thought of you often. Please do not be intimidated by anyone’s report. I never wrote before this, remember? Give it a go. I promise, I will read it and besides, I would love to read a report where there are no kids along! JnR’s mom has a great one going now. I live vicariously through those who get a break from the chaos and see Disney through an adults eyes!

Utahmama! I was the first and now look, nearly 100 posts under your belt. We may hav been friends in a previous life, but I would be happy to chum up with you in this one too. You, my dear, are an exuberant spirit! And you are a cracker! Here is another bag of cheetos and a pepsi to preoccupy your 4 kids while you read a few more trippie tales! Go mama go! Me thinks a trippie from you down the road would be a hoot!

Mrsschlep- Thanks for schlepping with me on my journey! 3 is a pretty good number, don’t you think?!

Eeyorelover22- Your DD rode EE because of my trippie? Now that is just too cool! Did you love it?

Paslea Pooh- You are hardly a disgrace to your sex. For the love of comic relief woman, you are a breath of fresh air! And I prefer most people to most things. Admittedly there are a few people I would prefer things to….And thanks for the bubbly. I am sipping it now as I write this next installment and hopefully it will add that extra sparkle to my words!!

Deekaypee- When you figure out how to simply simplify, would you pm me? It is something I am working towards, but have not yet achieved.

Hauntiewahooboscobaby- If I were a size 4 again, my closet might take on new meaning. I am not quite ready for bikinis at Disney, which is why you brought 15 and I did not….

Dreamer & Wisher- I am quite certain you did not permanently traumatize your little cherub. Kids need to experience a scary ride to appreciate what scary is! Then the next time you warn them, they have a context with which to make a decision, n’est ce pas?

Karalynn- You are on your way to addiction. Be afraid, very afraid….and hay! Thanks for the kind words.

Sneezie! Of all the recent posts, yours inspired me the most to get my little butt back in the writer’s chair. I have assumed the position….

Aimb5377- Oh sweet person! I am happy for you to be leaving soon, but I cannot say I will be done by the time you go. Please find me when you get back, and take notes, so you can start your own trippie when you get back.

ThisMomLuvsDisney- ThisHorsegirlLuvsYou! Thanks for all the nice stuff you said. I mean it. Thanks…

Pigglet74- Oh, I am sorry you had to leave and I hadn’t gotten an installment out. Come back to me! Don’t be mad….and blame all my dis friends, and my clients, and my kids, and the pets, and the darn house and well everyone and everything else but me….Okay, I am really in control of my time, and I don’t always chose the best course of action. I am a slacker….I have no excuse.

Frickles! Don’t be baffled, you are already spacey! We want you functioning child! Thanks for the sweet words lil’ fricky frick!

Dinomom96- Goshgooglygoo! Thank you for saying that. It is hard to believe….but thank you so much….

Sleepdoggydog! My new friend! I cannot believe you read this trippie twice! Now that is love! Or madness. Or you have no life. Or you are a speed reader. Or you have short and long term memory problems. I am certain I can come up with other reasons why you would subject yourself to such drudgery! And honestly, oh literary one, to even put me in the same sentence with Joyce is far too kind. Thanks Dog…

Bdg100-ankthay ouyay osay uchmay! Iay ooklay orwardfay otay ouryay ommentsay!

Okay, friends, expect an installment by dawn!

Horsey: From my fav state of MAINE....I don't think I am going to bed tonight :sad2: ....please dawn hurry up and get here ::yes:: ...pleaseeee!!! :goodvibes

And off to the "WORLD" again....you are the luckiest, Horsegirl I know!!!

:cheer2: :Pinkbounc  :woohoo: :bounce: :yay:

Can I share with you I am frightened, unnerved, on edge? The Dis is getting
to me. I dreamt last night that I met Zzub. He only had one tooth on his
lowers, it was in the center, and it was noticeable not only when he smiled,
but when he ate. He was there wandering the park, sitting next to me,
convincing me to order more expensive entrees to make the best use of our
dining credits, unsympathetic that I don't like meat. I awoke in a sweat, relieved that I wasn't at Disneyworld, but in my own bed, sans Zzub. I then thought, I must finish this report. I must do it. So here I am not 18 hours later, following through on my promise to myself. It was almost as if ole Zzub was like a vision in the Christmas Carol, and I as Ebenezer Scrooge, was being led by him to an epiphany. And just like last night, I, too, had dreams whilst slumbering away in my comfy bed at Old Key West, during those nights in February 2006. They were happy ones that almost always included going down Splash Mountain and hugging Mickey....

The more people you add to your trip, the more complex it becomes,
generally. This held true for us bringing Grammy J along. She is a great
sport and a real trooper, but she has her preferences, I must say. After
the night at Downtown Disney, we agreed the next day to go to the Magic
Kingdom. We had been in town since Saturday night and still had not ridden
our beloved Splash. So Frontierland was tops on the list for that morning.
Before bed, as the kiddies slept and we sipped wine on the porch, we came up with a plan for the morning. Grammy is not a morning glory. She sleeps
in, like 10 or 11 o'clock in, when she is home without grandchildren and not
on a Disney trip. So getting up early is tough for her. She refuses to get
up at her leisure and meet us later. She doesn't want to miss out on
anything, so we bargain for an ETD- estimated time of departure. I felt
like I was in a Turkish bazaar.

"Let's leave at 7, maybe we can be the family picked to ride the train", I
enthusiastically suggest.
"9 o'clock would be better for me", counters the grandmother.
"9 is way too late! It can take 45 minutes just the busride alone, then
another 10 to get to the gate."
"Well 8:45 then.."
"Why don‚t you sleep in, and join us whenever we could get stuck again
waiting for a bus."
"No, I don‚t want to sleep in. I can do that anytime. I suggest 8:15"
"That will still get us to the gates after rope drop. How about 7:15?"
"I am sure the buses do not begin running before 8."
This went on for some time, and for some odd reason, my Dh never says a
word. I bit my tongue, NOT, and insisted we would be closing the doors to
our rooms and walking down the stairs no later than 7:30. Case closed.
Sometimes a girl just has to put her foot down. Okay, I do that a lot, even
with my DMIL.

So we awaken and wooosh! After a flurry of poptarts, juice, toothybrushings,
scampering into clothes, locating sandals and assorted footwear, we are at
the bus stop by 7:30 or thereabouts. We wait and not long after a bus comes
and miraculously we are the only ones on it. My MIL does this kind of pouty
thing with her mouth when she is displeased with something. She is doing
that on the bus. I am always happy to get past the getting ready part. It
is a bit chaotic and hectic readying 3 small children for anything and
mornings at WDW are no different. The bus ride to the park is quiet, calm
and relaxing.

The sun is shining, it is fairly warm, and it looks like we are arriving
with plenty of time to spare. We did not get selected as the first family. And we had to wait about 40 minutes to get onto Main Street. Grammy J was again unpleased. I know she was thinking that she could still be happily
sleeping, but I was glad we got their early. We watched the people show,
which is always entertaining. I like hearing how other parent's respond to
their kids questions, and watching all the different interactions. A very
unique gal was all dressed up in pins. She must have had 100s on her. They
were everywhere. And she was toting a big black case on wheels. I was
curious, as it did not seem like a backpack that would hold food. I
watched. Eventually she opened it up, and took out books. They were
autograph books, and she began showing the people around her all her
character autographs. They were on 81/2 x 11 inch paper. There were
hundreds of them. She was a memorable individual. Are any of you her? Do
any of you know her? I was unclear why she would tote around such a
cumbersome case...but clearly she enjoyed showing off her hobby. It
entertained us for the remainder of our wait, and then the mayor showed up,
and all the beloved characters and the music began and the official start to
another wonderful day at Disney began.

We grabbed a stroller and made our way over past the Crystal Palace to
Frontierland. Most of the folks had taken a right and headed to
Tomorrowland, or straight past the castle to Fantasyland or left of the
castle to liberty square. Sky was squealing at the prospect of riding
Splash. This gutsy girl had just made the 40 inch mark on our last trip two
years prior. She was only 3 at the time such a tiny girl, such a brave
thrillseeker. She remembered it and could barely contain her enthusiasm.
Jack got caught up in it as did Carson. And we grabbed a fastpass as we
made our way through the turnstiles and onto the greatest flume ride I have
had a chance to enjoy. This ride is perfect. The music, the themeing, the
13 minute duration, and of course the fabulous drop. My stomach was in a
slight knot. That drop is a bit intimidating to me, as I am afraid of
heights. Have I told you that? I think I have, but if you have forgotten,
I am petrified of heights! I am a ninny! A sissy! A woos!

Last time was our first time on Splash and DJ had taken Sky and Carson
first, while I stayed behind with Jackson, who was too young. When we did
the switch, Carson bailed and it turned out Sky and I had a date by ourselves with the log. I remember the wonderful songs, and the adorable
characters and how fun the ride seemed, until I saw it. The approach up, to
where you knew the drop would occur. I became panicked and wanted to stop the log. I became sweaty and began breathing fast. My mind searched for a way off. I scanned my surroundings and saw it. A landing spot, just at the base of the incline. It was clearly used by the cms to unload or load onto
or from the logs. I looked at Sky. Could I grab her and jump onto the
landing safely, and therefore avoid the treachery ahead? I only had a
few moments, and I didn't act quick enough. DOOMED! I lay back as we went up, up, up! The crest looks out over the park. There is nothing there,
under you! Suddenly you dip and ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOM! Down you go in seconds to the bottom, leaving your stomach squished up in your mouth. It is such an exhilaration to survive!

This trip, I did know I would survive that 5 story drop. I did not scheme
to exit at the last moment and we rode Splash no less than 6 times in a row,
as there were no lines. Carson and Jack left after the first spin, and we
let Sky go as many more as she desired. 5 more was what she picked. We met up with Grammy and the boys and did a couple of spins on Big Thunder
Mountain. Grammy of course does not do these rides, but I can tell you,
when and if I am a granny, I will be on every fast ride that comes my way.
I say it often. Age is purely a state of mind.

It was not yet eleven am, and Jack began getting all 626 like. He began
requesting that we take him to Atlantis. How he could remember the flume
from Seaworld from 2 years ago was beyond me. I tried stupidly to reason
with him that Atlantis was in another park and we would not be going today.
Red faced and now screaming. He kept pointing. I finally put him down and
followed him. He knew right where he wanted to go and he brought us all to
that wonderous and amazing ride, Aladdin's Magic Carpets. "Oh, Jack,
Alladin. Sure, buddy, let's do that now." This poor little man, he had
needed to resort to covering himself with his blanket on many a ride up to
now. Just as he had been at AK on the Triceratops Spin, he was content, and even comforted to go around and around on this little ride. He knew what he needed to make him feel better! He was thrilled and a giant grin appeared on his face as he moved the carpet up and down. The POWER! After a couple of rounds, he allowed us to move on. We hit Pirates of the Carribean, always a hit, except Jack was a little frightened and we had to put him on Aladdin one more time after we emerged from the bowels of POTC.....

Hey baby!!!

You KNOW I had to be first!!

I bit my tongue, NOT...Case closed.Sometimes a girl just has to put her foot down. Okay, I do that a lot.....
We are borg!!! :teeth:

She was a memorable individual. Are any of you her?
All right. You've forced me to admit it. I AM memorable!!!

I say it often. Age is purely a state of mind.
Stop talking about me already!! You're making me blush!!

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times. You are REMARKABLE!!!

This installment was just great - probably in the top 1 or 2 of the whole saga! I can just see the expression on GrammyJ's face now - it reminds me of how my mom used to look when you dragged her out early... :rotfl2: But the vision of Brother Zzub with one tooth is just a little too scary for this late in the evening .... I foresee nightmares ahead. :lmao:

And six times on Splash!! I'm so jealous. Last trip, we barely made 1 trip - it was down a lot. DD and I are hoping to do better this trip - it's high on our favorite list too.

I'm not sure whether to be glad you're getting near the end, or sad that I'll have to wait for another trippie after your next visit. Which seems to be about the same time that DD and I are going. But it also means we get to find out how you made the rest of that money..... :dance3:

Well, you are a woman of your word. Another installment up!!!

Just a little bit of Grammy bashing. I will try not to take that as a personal attack :rotfl: :rotfl:

Did you know that those camels spit water at the Magic Carpet ride? Very refreshing on a hot day, as I try not to do circles so I have watched this about 10 times in a row.

Ooooh, very descriptive. I felt like I left MY stomach up on Splash Mountain! It's great to hear from you. I can certainly understand why you want to get this done before your next trip. Deadlines are such a drag. But, hey, we will get to learn how to make another $1,600 soon. (Are you using any of the savings on this year's trip? Free airline, free dining ... all you need now is a free room ;) )

Thanks for the new installment horseygirl.
For some reason when you described zzub I started thinking, "You might be a redneck if you have one tooth and the only reason you go the Disney is for free dining" :)

Ahhh...Horsey: I really did it, yes I did...I stayed up to read your next installment....wow SIX times on SPLASH and yes, isn't it just the BEST!!!! :thumbsup2

"the bowels of POTC"...isn't that the truth... :rotfl:

Loving the trippie all day and all night long....waiting on more.... :goodvibes

Will we get another chapter before you head to the "WORLD"?

:dance3: :yay: :dance3: :yay: :dance3:

Wow a fantastic report!

Loved the bargin for leaving time conversation. I too have had many of those conversations!

And I hope you'll be still writing trip reports when you get to ride the fast rides as Grammy H in that distant and not yet clear future.

(and I'm with you 15 bikini's is just so not on my agenda)

Oh, the opportunities are endless with this one.

In all seriousness, you may be onto something though Horsey.

Maybe that's why he goes to Boma and fills up on soup. Can't chew the food? Fine. Sip the soup. And maybe that's why he only showed us chin down. Why did he stop at the chin anyway? Hmmm. I'd like to picture ZZUB without a jacked up grill but you never know. Too many Yoo Hoos and Pepsi Ones tend to do that to you. As well as too much ZZUBing without proper dental care afterwards.

Scary.

But did he look like Costanza?

The approach up, to

This had me cracking up. I wonder how many people have had that same thought on this ride. No matter how many times I ride Splash, my heart still races at the top. I'm a dork.

And I just have to say this since your brought it up. Don't you just LOVE Atlantis? Now that's one sweet ride. The boy wasn't crazy about it but we loved it. And that's all that matters, right?

Kidding.

Anyway Horsey, I'm so glad to see you back Woman. I loved the latest and HOP TO IT on the rest. How long has this epic taken you anyway? I mean I could've had, like, one written by now.

Good writin' Sista. Keep it up.

La2

Yeah, Horsey is back! I love reading about your beautiful family and how much you appreciate them and your trips to Disney. Cant' wait for more!

Your negotiations with Grandma made me laugh.

My parents want to do a Grand Gathering at some point and I will have to remember to put a wake up time in my terms and conditions statement.

Momrek06! You would have stayed up all night for me! Wow, you are a loyal reader. Thanks as always for your enthusiasm...I mean that. You are as supportive as my many of my Maelstrom friends....stop by sometime....

Mikayla73- Thanks for subbing and this trippie made you exhausted? Yikes, now I know my effect on some of my friends. I think I have exhausted some of them too. Here, have some java.....double caf....

Gosh! Thanks, Music Mama!... I think if I had nightmares causing me to break out in a sweat all of you disers should suffer the same fate being haunted by ole snaggled toothed Nanny McZzub(funny LisaBelle!)... :rotfl2: Depending on how long you are staying, we may overlap...

Grammyof2- Well why didn't you tell me about the spitting camel at Aladdin's?! As long as it is only spit, I am willing to use it as a cooling agent. We will definitely need it this August. But we are going there first before the crowds and the heat. That ride offers no protection from the elements. Gosh that ride feels like my life sometimes. Around and around we go....

LisaBelle- Free room would be nice! Hadn't thought of it. I need to do some scheming....your edit cracked me up! :rotfl:

Harmony272- Are there rednecks at Disney and on the Dis? Hmmmm, hadn't noticed. And yes, one toothed cheapskates who only go to Disney for the free dining have to qualify as rednecks. Course I am from the more refined north, so perhaps I am not the best judge!

devilfire! LOL. Close your eyes next time whilst reading my trippie, baby! pssst. there will be pix in the next installment!

offwegotoneverland-I gave the illusion of bargaining. I never had any intention on changing the time the tour bus was leaving. :teeth: I know I still need some negotiation skills....

La2-I cracked myself up over my utter terror on Splash, and the desparate measures I was contemplating resorting to! And I always appreciate the mental image of you doing the silent shake. Or was this the full blown guffaw? Atlantis! OH BABY! That is a goodie, that drop is bigger, at least it felt bigger. I am working at keeping my eyes open on these rides. I love very unattractive whilst squinting...As far as Costanza is considered....Zzub is an old woman, La, hence forth ole snaggle toothed Nanny McZzub is my forever image of him...with both warts..... :teeth:

Brandt79! You have been around since day one. Thanks lil cutie!

Haleyb- Little bug, unfortunately grammy's make good material for writing. I do feel a bit sheepish at funning at my DMIL's expense, but she is a good woman. I just won't ever tell her about this site! ;)

Okay, so I spit that installment out in no time last night. It had typos and a few grammatcial mistakes.... So if an imperfect installment or two is okay with you, I will get another one out in the next day or two. With pics...

Adieu..... :yay: :rotfl:

hey horse girl, it is because of you that i joined the dis, thanks for entertaining us. my dw thinks i'm a nut for reading this whole thread.

bahsdad! What a nice thing to say! Welcome to the Dis, man. What kind of a nut does DW think you are? I will think of you as a Macadamia as I love Hawaii... It still amazes me that people actually like to read my blatherings!

Horsedarling...it was the illiusion I liked! (I'm a banker I "bargin" all the time...oh you want a million dollars sure no problem...that'll be 7000.00 and your first born, at prime plus 1.75...normally i let them keep the first born since that would mean I'd get a new set of kids every month and I can barely keep up with the one I have course the dogs and cats are sometimes cool)

Hay!!!! Love what you wrote to me a bunch of pages ago! You made my day! In fact, you make everyone's day-You are a piece of sunshine!
Your DMIL is a pouty hoot! Love the way you handle the old broad! My appologies if she's reading this, in which case what a sweet spirit she is!
I'm also petrified of "the big drop" on splash! I have an anxiety attack for a second then it's over! We "act" scared for the photo, but mama isnt acting!
Since you made my day, this is for you:

Color my world with the magic of a child,
Crayola smiles and watercolors run wild.

Mold me a memory,
Make me a dream,

The glitter, the sparkle,
The little eyes gleam.

Sweet and innocent wishes unfurled,
Pick up your palette and
Color my world.
