How to make $3600 on your disney vacation! WE DID!! NEW 9/3*The Epilogue, DONE* p. 54

horsegirl -

I love reading your TP! I am glad that I subbed, I had only read about 10 pages last night, but tonight I sat here reading from pg 10 to 46! :rotfl: popcorn:: :surfweb: :rotfl: OK - I did skim some ;) but I am all caught up now :thumbsup2

You are such a great writer. You have the ability to make the reader feel like they are there with you. (Hence the reason I was exhausted!! Long travel times, no sleep, *whew* I was gettin' ya!) Excellent trippie!

Sleepdoggydog! My new friend! I cannot believe you read this trippie twice! Now that is love! Or madness. Or you have no life. Or you are a speed reader. Or you have short and long term memory problems. I am certain I can come up with other reasons why you would subject yourself to such drudgery! And honestly, oh literary one, to even put me in the same sentence with Joyce is far too kind. Thanks Dog…
1) Love - check
2) Madness - check
3) No life - not so much
4) Speed reader - fairly so
5) Memory problems - check

Traveling to Walt's world next year about this time with my own PANL & MANL (so sue me, horsey. . .lol). They're both good people and from whence wifey gets her penchant for schedules, itineraries, and organization. So, not foreseeing the same showdown you had. . .but I'm wary, nonetheless. Nice installment. . .more please. . .;)

Horsedarling...it was the illiusion I liked! (I'm a banker I "bargin" all the time...oh you want a million dollars sure no problem...that'll be 7000.00 and your first born, at prime plus 1.75...normally i let them keep the first born since that would mean I'd get a new set of kids every month and I can barely keep up with the one I have course the dogs and cats are sometimes cool)

:rotfl2: You are a sly one. Now can I go with you to neverland? I still have not grown up and want to keep it that way! This is why I am going to Disney 3 times within one year!

Since you made my day, this is for you:

Color my world with the magic of a child,
Crayola smiles and watercolors run wild.

Mold me a memory,
Make me a dream,

The glitter, the sparkle,
The little eyes gleam.

Sweet and innocent wishes unfurled,
Pick up your palette and
Color my world.

She is an old broad and a sweet spirit all rolled into one! It has taken most of the 13 years I have known her to master the art of 'relationshiping' with her. My eyes are shut in every picture on any ride like that! It is so not attractive for the pixies! Thanks for the sweet little poem! I loved it.

Thanks, you! Okay, so I get the realism...I always think I am a dullard, so I interpreted it as I put you to sleep! :teeth:

Sleepyhappypuppyboy! HA! But are they flexible? Do their mouths pucker at heading to AK instead of MGM as planned? Be wary, my friend, be wary....and for everyone else....this clever fellow has his own initialisms, instead of conforming to Disspeak. PANL=Pa in law...MANL=Ma in Law. He dares to be different, a non-conformist.......

I like it!

Thanks buddy for the hiphurray....I have found a line not damaged by the storm and hooked up the dial up until my high speed is fixed.

Horseydarling...everyone is always welcome at neverland. And considering I went in November (2005), March (2006) and am going in December (2006) and Sept (2007) I so hear that! (see that's what my bargining does!)

(and no I don't do trip reports much I just can't be that funny for that long! Must be the blisters from my fashionable footwear that impede the writing process)

Horsegirl:
Yes, DD rode EE because of your trip report. I don't have loads of time for the dis all the time, but I found yours when they all had the flu I believe over spring break. Anyway...I believe it was a combo of the ride info and also the ages of your kids. She is 13 and not a big fan of coasters. She still will not go on Splash. She does not like the drops. She loves BTMRR and rode it 8 times + some this trip. She rode RnR 4 times and EE I believe 4. She doesn't like the drops so has never gone on ToT. I did ToT for the first time this year with DS15. The ride photo is hilarious!! I didn't care for it either. She refuses to ride Space after the trauma that I caused her when she was 8. She wasn't ready for that ride and I forgot that the seats are not side by side. Bad decision on my part.

I asked if there was a big drop at the beginning and there wasn't so she was willing to go on. Others that I knew that had been on it said it was more like BTMRR. I did not like the climb. I have a fear of heights. Seeing the top of AKL didn't sit well with me, but it's an awesome ride. So much so that I went to the top of the Virgin Record Store at DTD and didn't think I'd be able to get back down. I had to talk myself through the glass elevator to get down because I also don't like down escalators. I have my mom to thank for that one. Never leave your child at the top afraid to board the escalator. I've never gotten over it!! It's not pretty.

DH: Sweet man that is he who would rather stay home for 2 weeks in his own bed than go anywhere, but goes to Disney since I love it so much and does have a wonderful time although he doesn't go nutso like DD and I do.

He did not see the massive Yeti at the end the first time. :confused3 Yes, he's one that could sit through WW III and not notice :rotfl:

Enjoy your trips to WDW and take them when you can. Life can change in a heartbeat and your children will grow up far too fast. I'd love to know what you think of the phase I am in now which is the "stupid" phase. DH and I have become brain dead and our children think we know nothing. It's very interesting to say the least. Hopefully, it will pass quickly, but I am a high school teacher and I'm sorry to say that it lasts a very long time.

We did not get selected as the first family.

So, how do you get selected as first family? 'Cause I can assure you that no one beat the NM's to the MK turnstiles on our trip. And despite chatting it up with all the CM's around and making sure my kids looked and acted completely IN LOVE with all things Disney (OK - that's not an act), we were not selected. But a military family was and that's cool. Because serving your country trumps loving the Mouse any day.

Plus, I thought it would be a tug-of-war between being first family and beating the crowd to the AstroOrbiter. Getting to the AstroOrbiter was more important.

Great installment as usual, Horsey. Love your writing and look forward to your next trip report starting after this one is over!! :sunny:

I read the latest addition to the report that I printed off at DD's flute lesson. I must comment.

The age thing. My brother and I were coaster riding freaks when we were in our late teens and early 20's. We went to Cedar Pointe every summer and DH and I visited many parks when we were first married. I can no longer do the loop de loop ones. It's not a state of mind, it's a state of body :rotfl: I got a headache from RnR that latest 5 hours...it came on in an instant. 2 times on BTMRR and EE were my limit between my head troubles and my back. It's a bummer. We went to 6 Flags over the weekend and my DB of two years older than I, sat and watched DD15, DN17 and DH who loaded up on advil before he rode!! I long to ride them, but my rational self takes over unfortunately. My headaches can be very severe. They had such fun though. It's bumper cars and swings now for me.

FIRST FAMILY:
We were picked for the First Family at MGM on June 28th and we opened the park. We were on the OTHER side of the rope drop. It was just too darn cool! We rode down Sunset Blvd. in a nifty white car.

How were we picked? We were there early for the new breakfast at MGM...Play N Dine. I hate rope drop so we do early morning breakfasts in the parks at 8:00 to avoid the masses at the main gate and we do the mini drops at the different lands. It doesn't work as well at MGM since it's still on the main street. We beat the security there that day. I took a lot of heat from DH. The meal was pushing it with DD13 and DS15, but hey, the food was good. :rotfl: We walked out and asked the nice Cast Member if we could sit on the bench right at the corner by the stuffed animal shop. Two other Cast Members came over...the ones that work at the info boards with the plaid vests on and we chatted. This drives DD and DS crazy. They asked if we could help them and I, of course, said yes. That's when they asked us if we could help them open the park. We were taken to the other side of the rope. It was fun. We were given free ride photos on RnR and we were in the first car and we also had a certificate with it. It was cool! Some of the rides also have additional first families. We were the first family on Dino last year and Buzz and we did get our pictures free. We did Donald's and CP at 8:00 those days.

The Key: You have to be there early and be one of the first ones in line. I don't think it would work to have breakfast at MK, AK or Epcot to be the opening first family...only MGM since you'd be too far away from the opening gate. It's completely random. MK must ride the train. MGM is the white car, Epcot is a neat Test Track car that the family rides in. I don't know what they do at AK. DS doesn't remember there being anything. I'm pretty sure there was a first family on EE for a free pic. They got in line first since I was grabbing fast passes for the ride.

So happy to see the Horsegirl trippie picking up the pace once again! I love your family, even your pouty stubborn MIL! Pouty is fine(ish) when it is merely one facet of an otherwise sparkling personality.

Is the height restriction for Splash just 40 inches? I wonder if Syd will be tall enough when we go next time?
Yay!

Your bargaining with Grammy J sounds like my bargaining with my mom last week to get her to the MK

Sure mom we are only going to eat and see Wishes.
Nope no EMH.
Nope no rides.
Nope no shopping.

Hehehehehe she should have known better :teeth:

I will say it was a great last night and even my mom loved it

I am so jealous that you are so close to returning though  I'm trying to bargain my way back for my birthday or Xmas but so far no go :guilty:

I love this in your signature line.

When I come across a thread I like, I have to wait to post until I catch up with all the reading. In this case, 47 pages! It helps to just print the actually posts and then catch up with the comments later.

I must say, this has been such a pleasure to read. I love your way of thinking and parenting style. Your children are truely blessed. They sound like a riot and would be so much fun to experience here in my day care.

And I wouldn't complain if they didn't sleep. I would just deal with it. :thumbsup2

Can't wait to hear, read, the rest. I hope you get to finish this one before you leave for the next one.

subbing!

I just finished part 9 o page 17 and am loving your reports! Thanks for sharing so much of yourself with us!

Reading your Disney reports keeps me in great anticipation for our next trip! Thanks again!

My DH and I just returned this past weekend from WDW. I want to thank you much for your report. Prior to leaving, it helped me get through those last weeks. Now, that I'm back, it's helping me to relive my time there. I can't wait to read on, as you continue and am glad you're going again soon so you can begin a new one. I am totally addicted!!! :Pinkbounc

Shiny, happy people! Thanks for reading. I am off for a few days in the morning. Don't know if I can manage another installment prior to liftoff. But if I do, I won't be able to reply until I return home. Enjoy the weekend, stay as cool as you all are, and someone tell me how to eat cheetos without getting the orange stuff all over my fingers! Ciao!

Well Geesh woman! If your gorgeouso fam did not get selected and you were there on the money, I am confused!

But Eeyorelover22, thanks for the insight. Looks like MGM is one place to possibly score. Free picks and all, Cool! Listen. EE has a drop! It is much bigger than the drop at Splash. The ride leading up to the drop is just so much fun! Tell your DD to try it just once for horsey. The drop takes like 2 seconds and it is a 13 1/2 minute ride!

kpk89- 40 inches for splash and btmrr. Get Syd on it! Even if you need to have her practice standing her tallest in a pair of higher heeled sneaks!

Awwww Minnie, it sounds like you dealt with your mom perfectly! What a great idea, and she probably never knew what hit her! Sweep her up in the moment....well done. I am off to read your trippie in a few.

Pamom001- OMG! Thank you for bringing that up! I think that is hysterical too and missed it the first time. UtahMama, you are hysterical....

monymony3471-thanks for the kudos re; my wirting and parenting. I am a grouchy, grumpy mommy sometimes, I assure you...just not so much at Diz because I am so dang happy to be there!

Harmony, keep reading! Thanks!

njdisneyfreak- Awwwww that is just sweet! I got you through something. That is awesome....coming back is tough, isn't it? Well, I love ya' even if you are a freak! :teeth:

Loved the latest installment. Splash is my favorite!!! So happy that Sky had so much fun and that Jack found his own joyful diversion. It's funny, isn't it, how if you let them lead the way, they often find just what they need!

And you are such a sweetheart, well, always, but here because you do such a great job at the individual responses. Just one more illustration of your big heart!!

Have a wonderful, wonderful (not tooooo crazy) weekend with our wacko friends. We'll be anxiously waiting for the next installment. 'Cause we know you've got to hurry. Only a few more weeks til the next trip!!!! (Lucky Horsey)

LY/MI
((kiss))

:thumbsup2 hey. hpony* horsey girl....i just want you to know i'm

i'm so far behind that i need a review mirrow.

i know some have been waiting for your most excellent story telling,
but look how long i've taken so i think you've doing a great job!
::yes::

though, i am unable to keep up with the fastpass gang, i do enjoy
your news, i do! :joker:

* every once in awhile i hear a plane over head..can't keep a wondering
if you & your "wild" mustangs are heading back too :mickeyjum land!

all of a sudden my mind just went..... :moped: et :moped: and :moped:
sign to go? :smokin:

Yes, EE has a drop but it is curvey and your stomach doesn't have that nasty, icky flying up into your throat feeling. She can see the drop on Splash and won't get on it. I'd love to, just once to say I've been on it. I want to see the Frog that says, "I'll Say."

We are going at Christmas and maybe I can get DS on it. He thinks it's boring. He rode Dueling Dragons 6 times over at IOA.

I am back, have read the last installment and ready for the next. Have a great trip.
