How to make $3600 on your disney vacation! WE DID!! NEW 9/3*The Epilogue, DONE* p. 54

Oh you're back! what a nice summer treat!
When I take my 4 kids anywhere, people look and shudder. My kids are well behaved and I (gasp) enjoy our outings! Choice or chance- they are true gifts!

Just loving your report, we made $1,200.00 on our Feb trip in AA money, we could have made more on the way home, but we passed.

Thought I was the only one that doesn't like Down town Disney Mall. For me, each time whe have gone it's so crowed, & seemed to be unsafe. :guilty: though, I did enjoy watching my DD in the Lego section. I try not to go there.

Are you & your family go to Hawaii? Was Delta helpful?

Thanks for sharing your Disney Diary with all of us, can't wait for more.

I also completely understand about people being shocked at travelling with 3 toddlers. :confused3 . You either take them with you places or you will spend your life alone in your house. If I can take mine to the grocery store then wdw is a piece of cake.
You are exactly right. Why sit at home with them being terrors when you can be at Disney with them being terrors! :teeth: Just kidding, but it is true. As much work as it is to travel with wee ones, the alternative is just too dreary for me. I WANNA LIVE!

Btw you also sound like such a calm mother, who doesn't easily fluster, I think I could use a lesson on that sometimes. :guilty:

Please do not think I am any less human than anyone else. I have my bad mommy moments too! And you will hear about one on day 6! But alot less when we are on trips, away from the stress of everyday life. Being at Disney just makes all the little problems with the kids, seem miniscule. After all, bribery with Mickey Bars and such does work wonders! ;)

Krismom! 4 wee tykes at Disney? :worship:

Haley! Thanks for the tip on Disney Quest. We have yet to make it there. Perhaps our August trip will be so hot we will need to resort to indoor activities....

Ashclan- I agree with you on all counts! Especially the needing to go to Ghiradelli's next trip! Wooo hooo!

Bluejay2006 and Harmony 272-Thanks terribly for taking the time to read and post!

Wickedmom75- Disguises to stay incognito whilst junior is having a meltdown sounds like a plan... ;)

Lisa Belle- Hidden Mickey's and W. Good thing the First amendment is in place for me! And I love your thinking!

fan of a small world- Enjoy your trip and you do that trippie! It takes effort, but has lots of benefits. Thanks for your thoughts, and glad you and your mom are shoppers. Someone has to keep Disney in business!

Preshi! Thanks for the tip about the Adventurers Club at PI. Some of my wayward friends and I are having a wild night out in October, and so this will be a potential stop. You continue to look fab! And I love Disneyland!

Purtypat1- Hi again! Glad to hear you made bucks on your trip. It is so great to come back with more than you went with from Disney!

I am in earnest beginning my next installment, and will try to have it up soon.
Stay cool if you live in the south, and dry if you live in the Northeast! For all the rest of you....enjoy your summer.

A bientot pour ce soir! :yay:

I was wondering if it was American Airlines. AA money.

Hi There
Yes American Airlines money. DD & I got bumped in Feb 2006 we ended up with the money, plus we flew to MCO flirst class. What a way to start our vacation. We were wined dined & pampered.

Finally made it through all 42 pages!

Whew

I was so busy stealth-trip planning when I first found the Dis that it is only now that I have been able to fully enjoy & become addicted to all these fabulous trip reports.

love it! Can't wait for more.

Horsegirl, I am almost a professional at knowing a writer when I read one. Not only have I read an average of a book a day for almost 50 years (many more when there were fewer pages in the books as well as pictures :rotfl: ) but I was also a proofreader/editior in days past. I know good when I read it and the very hardest thing to write about is normal everyday life.

Please keep those reports going as I am aging fast. (cough, hack, wheeze, gasp) :faint:

Slightly Goofy

I just found your post Saturday and have been intrigued since. I enjoy your style, and am looking forward to more installments. Great job so far!

HorseyBabe! Thank HEAVENS you decided to go on! A trip report is a lot like life - it's not reaching 'the end' that's important - it's the person you become (or get to know, in this case) while you get to the end.

I agree with you about shopping especially for clothes - (you actually have twice (maybe three times) as many shoes as I do) On the other hand, I could spend hours in home depot . . . what does THAt say?

Also understand about you're wanting to divest your house of a ton of stuff. . . Just shipped another box of china to 'Replacements, Ltd' this noon time, and as soon as I finish this a trunk full of stuff is on the way to the Salvation army. WHERE does it all come from? (Actually think it breeds in the closet, when the door is shut - I swear I don't buy it!)

Waiting eagerly for your next installment !

Hey Horsegirl!

It took me all dang day, but I read all 42 pages. Whew! Good thing it was a slow day at work. :rolleyes1

I have to agree with your fans here...you have a way of bringing the reader into your world. Such fantastic detail...I also have to agree that I "felt" like I was on EE right along with you and your daughter. You really have a gift.

Something else I want to comment on. People kept talking about what a beautiful person you are. After reading your TR, I finally get that. Horsegirl, you have such a beautiful soul. How can your readers NOT feel a certain kinship with you?

It was a pleasure to read...but imagine my surprise when I got to page 42 and we weren't near done with your trip yet...what the? You write like me.

I do have one complaint however...not near enough talk about food! Being a fellow veggie person, I would love to read about your digestive tendencies. You just sort of skip right over those parts. :guilty:

Okay, I'm ready to read the next installment now. Any time. Let's go.

I still have dial-up. :dance3: :beach: Maybe one day I'll come into the 21st century. :magnify: :dance3:

Not only do I have dial-up, I still have pulse phones instead of touch tone. When they switched us over in my neighborhood, you had to agree to about a dollar extra a month. I never signed up.

Had a computer problem regarding connectivity once and totally baffled my local computer genius. The pulse/tone issue was one he never thought of. He still brings it up once in a while a decade later.

We don't have cable television either. I consider that one once in a while, but usually decide the kids and DH watch too darn much TV anyway. They always enjoy the cable service when we travel, but I usually find myself watching mostly the Food Network because even with a hundred channels, there still isn't much on that I find interesting.

Horseygirl ... you are AWESOME! Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us. I have been away from the boards for a little while so it was a pleasent "welcome back" to be able to read more of your report. I've thought about writing a report myself but i'm afraid it wouldn't be nearly as interesting as the ones I read here, so I think I'll wait till kids are part of the picture then write a report. Can't wait for more!!! BRing it on! :)

You had me at hello...(actually I wanted to get $3600 for our trip in Sept., cheapo me) I've been a LURKER for a little while and finally joined DIS just so I could comment to you how much I adore your style. I think we were best friends in a former life. Here's just a smackeral of things I can relate to:

The looks of horrer then the way the airplane passengers ignore us (maybe we'll GO AWAY if they just ignore us?) when all 4 (yes FOUR) of my mischievous looking children board an airplane then the relief at their satisfactory behavior!

Wanting to disinfect the resort room prior to the entry of my precious little-ones(I wont go there but we all know how ishy the rooms are under the blue-light)

The Blue-Lipped,shivering (but CUTE) princesses with sweatshirted mamas! Good gravy, there's some GREAT mothering for ya!

The Kiddie-Pool bodily-by-product frape. Just what GOOD are Swimpsters anywho?

There's SOOOO much I 'd love to comment on from your delicious TR. I am oh-so thankful I discovered you only a couple days ago or I would have been whining to continue as I eat Cheetos and Diet Pepsi and scream at the computer monitor-"NOOOOO you arent done with Day 2 yet!!!!!" Christmas-on-a-cracker!

I have actually had to go potty (really bad) or had various children poking me on the arm "Mama, arent you gonna feed us?" Me,"Just ONE MORE PAGE! Look! This little boy carries his sword in his pants just like YOU, now go eat a pop tart and leave mama alone... Can you get me another diet pepsi?"

Now I'm all caught up and look foreward to your next installment... Keepemcoming H!

OK, subscribing so I can read this later on today! Going in October and would love to learn some tips here...

Ok finally caught up, and I must say I'm loving every insallment. This is the first time a trip report has drawn me in.

Whew!!! I made it!! All 43 pages and we have just finished day 4! I have really enjoyed reading your report... I have 3 munchkins myself and can really relate to alot of what you write about!! Thank you for sharing a smidgen of your life with us... I feel like I am right there with you and your fabulous family!! Keep 'em comin'!!!
