Ive always wanted to try the pastry shop in France, so we made that our next stop before heading out. I bought 4 different types of desserts for us all to share and thats when we spied Princess Aurora wandering the gardens of France. And she had no line, to boot!

:
Maddie posed with Aurora and then Aurora asked Maddie who that was sleeping in the stroller. Apparently Evan has fallen asleep, and we had no idea. Aurora asked me if I thought he pricked his finger on a spinning wheel. Maddie cracked up!
Right across the walkway, we spied a very short line for Belle. Wed already seen her in her yellow gown, so Maddie was excited to see her in her Blue peasant dress. We took photos here and then decided to jump back on the Friendship and head back to the resort to check on Waldo.
Before we left the park, we took advantage of the fact that Evan was asleep and headed into MouseGear for some shopping. Hes not a shopper and usually complains, so this was a perfect opportunity. We took some Epcot shots and then Maddie spied a Hidden Mickey.
We mostly browsed and then found this disturbing Minnie Mouse doll. She was dressed like a lady of the evening and hanging out in a bin full of smiling Mickey Mouse dolls.
Maddie wanted this doll, but when I said no she asked me to at least take a picture of her with it. I know, I'm a mean mom.
We left the park just as the thunder began.
We got back to the room and Waldo was laying down, still feeling pretty bad. I asked if he wanted to skip dinner, but he was hungry and had been looking forward to trying Jiko for a while now.
We rested for a few hours and then we headed over to the bus stop and jumped on a bus to AK. Ok, I dont know what I thinking when I decided that was our route because AK closed at 5pm yup right when we pulled up there were hoards and hoards of people exiting the park. All the bus lines were completely overflowing, especially the AKL one. We got in line and waited luckily with AKL being so close, the wait was minimal and we made to AKL in no time.
We headed down to find Simbas Clubhouse. The plan was to drop the kids off and then the 4 of us would enjoy an adults only meal at Jiko. Evan had other plans.

We arrived at Jiko and Maddie took off and started playing with a group of kids. Evan on the other hand was having nothing to do with the whole situation. No matter what I said he refused to stay. The CMs encouraged me to just leave, but I refused to leave him there crying. Evan was a no go. Andy was not happy. TE and Waldo offered to take both the kids back to the room, but Maddie didnt want to leave now.
We finally just decided to take Evan with us and luckily I had made reservations for 6 at Jiko, just in case. We kissed Maddie good-bye and off we went to Jiko.
We checked in and were seated immediately. The restaurant had a beautifully clam and serene feeling about it. I loved how it felt open and yet very cozy at the same time. Our server was very nice and addressed Evan as Sir. Evan naturally loved all the attention. We ordered a few appetizers; Im not sure what TE & Waldo had, but Andy & I shared the Chefs Special flat bread. OMG. It was fantastic. There was spiced beef and goat cheese, some roasted peppers and these wonderful herbs. We were in heaven.
Evan ordered the fruit salad. He gave it a

. It must have been good, as he left a completely empty bowl.
Hey V, tell Leo they serve Fish Pizza at Jiko!
We all decided to try something different, but when it came down to actually ordering, everyone ended up ordering the same thing!

We all ended up with the Filet and Mac and Cheese.
I have to admit, my favorite part of the meal was our appetizer and our dessert. We had the Tanzanian Chocolate cheesecake. Yum-OH!
Narcoossees is still numero uno in my book!
During our entire meal, there was complete down pour. Im talking crazy rain! We were fortunate enough that it stopped just minutes before we left AKL. Andy and Evan went over to Simbas to collect Maddie and Andy said they only charge us for Maddie, which I thought that was very nice of them.
We headed up to the lobby and walked around a bit. We soaked in the atmosphere and chatted about how awesome Kidani village is going to be. They had the huge firepit going and there was a parade of kids with instruments going around the lobby. It was a lot of fun watching the goings on.
We decided to call it a night and took a bus from AKL to DTD and then caught the boat back to SSR. Maddie chatted alllllll the way to DTD about her Simbas Clubhouse stay
what a great dinner they had and she played with this girl and that girl and they did a puppet show and played with this and that
yadda, yadda, yadda. She talked so much she fell asleep mid-sentence.
Waldo and TE walked the kids back to the room whilst Andy and I stopped at the Carriage house to pick up our packages and purchase some groceries. Back in the room we all showered and hopped in bed. Waldo was feeling really bad I was beginning to really worry about him.
Tomorrow was Magic Kingdom Day and the kids were excited!
Up Next: Waldo needs medical attention
