How To Lose Waldo in 10 days-The Trilogy~NEW 10/26 - Final Thoughts; Adios Amigos!

I think that's what my nephews had at Tusker House as well-but Mordie had a lot of bacon.
It really was a riot to see every single child had the same EXACT thing!
All 3 are funny but I think Evan's face is tooooooooo funny!!!!!!!
I know, poor kid. But he loves to be scared outta his mind! :rotfl2:

Have you been to the WPE on the Wast Side? Any difference? I never knew the one in the marketplace existed until recently!
Ok, don't laugh, but I didn't know there was a WPE on the West Side.

Great Update !! Loved the redneck pix !!
Thanks Rosie! :goodvibes
Evan loved Dinosaur! I can't believe it. It's really scary!

I didn't think you would make it to breakfast on time, but you did. Way to go! We never spend a full day at Animal Kingdom. We make that our pool day, too.
There's just not enough to do and it's freakin' hotter than Africa there. :faint:
OMG i just luv that pic from dinosaur , too funny!!!
Thanks Rachel! :)
I laughed....*Yeah, Genius"...Hmm...I wonder WHO Evan gets his sense of humor from? Anyone? Bueller? Bueller??
Ah yes ... my little mini-me. :teeth:

I cried...."Alllll by ourselves...."...Ok, I didn't really cry, but I thought about sniffling a bit. Till I heard your singing voice in my head. Then I giggled....LY!!
Wait a second... did I sing for you??
And I haven't read about ANY arm-bar sniffing...what's up with that??
That's because I didn't ride anything with previous questionable odors - YET. :rolleyes1

I feel like it's a super tacky Flintstone mini-theme park...I'm assuming you have to pay for the games?
Yes and they're not cheap.

Loved the Dinosaur picture too! The first 4 or 5 times Michael rode that, our ride picture had him doing what the kid in the back did...It totally freaked him out and yet he wanted to ride again and again...too cute. Way to go Evan!!:
But was he catatonic after the ride? Evan sat there and drooled for a couple seconds before he snapped out of it. :rotfl2:

Well, I gotta get ready for work...Love & Miss ya!!!
Ditto!
You could have texted me! No, scratch that - have I mentioned how much $$$ I went through on texts that week?!
Ok, we need to get you on the $5 unlimited text plan. :upsidedow

You didn't pet the drugged-up goats?! At least I think they're drugged-up. I've never seen goats that mellow.
Ummm... yeah... nope. We don't do petting farms. Ewwww!!! Can you imagine? :scared:

Yay - I was hoping you made it over there at some point! Did the kids love the spray thingies?
They loved it! One of my favorite things about SSR was the dual themed pools. And the fact that the smaller one is rarely crowded. :thumbsup2

I agree on Ghiradelli's,dont see what people think is so great about it. I myself like turkey hill or Edys.I bought Ghiradelli's box brownie mix, and it turn out awful. Smelled great just would not come out of the darn pan. It was like gooey brownies.
Turkey Hill? Is that like a chain ice cream place? Never heard of it. We only have Cold Stones and 31 Flavors here.
You didn't though, I mean touch it?
NOpe, but I easily could have - but the guide was watching us very closely and I didn't want to get 86'd from there too. :teeth:

Oh T you should have told them it's not far to walk
No kidding! I should have made them suffer too! Why should I be alone? :lmao:
My avatar is the same rainbow
Awww... I love that we were looking at the same thing at the same time in different places. :cloud9:

Anyone would think you're trying to sell DVC or something
:rolleyes1
Didn't Kali feel great on that hot day?
It actually was refreshing - but I had jean shorts on and well... there was chaffing and some redness going on. :sad2:
at Evan calling Waldo a genius, out of the mouths of babes
Some times I wonder if Evan is a mini-Waldo in the making or a mini-me. WAIT! Then that would make me a mini-Waldo! :scared1: Nevermind!
T, with that cat food description of Germany, no one will want to eat there. Although, then there will be plenty of room for ALL the Fockers. :rolleyes1
Tell me that place didn't smell like a warm can of Purina. :scared:
The rainbow was so pretty - we were on the bus back to MK when we saw it.
Awww... see? Isn't that awesome. I feel like singing Pocahontas song about how we are all connected to eachother... whatever else the words are. :goodvibes
Did Waldo & TE like the CS at Raglan? We've only done the TS but love it, of course.
They loved them. In fact they said (look away, Jo) they were better than the ones in England. :ssst:
I have a pic of that rainbow too. I think we all do!
I love it! :goodvibes

8/25 Epcot Day!

I woke up at 6:00 am without the help of my cell phone alarm. I got ready and headed to the kitchen to make some real breakfast. I had ordered eggs and sausage from Garden Grocer and decided I should probably cook this morning. The smell of sausage woke the family up and once everyone was ready, we all sat and ate. No sausage for me! Blech!

Waldo still wasn't feeling well, but he was in no mood to sit in the room whilst the rest of us were out having fun.

Here's what my Itinerary said:

8:00 Catch bus to Epcot
9:00 Rope Drop
Ride TT - Grab FP's for later
Ride SE
10:00 Visit Imagination/Innoventions
11:00 Friendship to Morocco
Visit Japan
Visit France (GreyGoose Slushi)
11:30 Lunch in WS
See UK and Canada
2:00 Leave Park

Here's what actually happened.

We got to Epcot and actually made rope drop today. Our first stop was TT and Andy hoofed it to grab us Soarin' FP's. We got all the way to the pre-show and Maddie decided she didn't want to ride after all. Waldo and TE went ahead with Evan and Mads and I were directed out and they told me to tell the FP CM that she chickened out and they would give me a Rider Swap.

Maddie and I found a shady spot to people watch whilst waiting for Andy. And boy did we spy a good one to watch! I think a time machine dropped out of the sky and landed at Epcot that day, cause this couple is straight outta the 80's baby! :lmao: Big hair, biker shorts, and that tank top just scream 80's hair band!

akepcot011.jpg

Seriously?

akepcot006.jpg

Andy caught up with us and then when the others were done, Andy and I took Evan for another spin on TT. He was lovin' his double dip! :lmao:

We started to make our way toward the Land, and noticed the Character Spot didn't have a ridiculously long line, so we stopped there. Waldo and TE took up a spot in the breezeway to wait for us. We were in line for a few minutes when I suddenly heard "T!" I looked up and saw Mo and Kelly standing at the door way - I waved back and asked where they were headed. I think she said Spaceship Earth or M:S. :confused3 Can't remember. Any, they had spotted Waldo and TE and I think TE told her we were in line. I love Mo!

We waited for about 30 minutes in that line, but some how it's not so bad when you're in air conditioning. Maddie spied another hidden Mickey and then I found the rockstar again. I think he knew I was photographing him. :lmao:

Some character pics:

wdw8-25002.jpg

wdw8-25003.jpg

The kids made their way to all the characters and just as we exited the building, the freaking Dream Team showed up and pulled a family to the side. The freaking family right after us. I couldn't watch. I have no idea what they won, if anything. If I witnessed that family win the castle stay, it would have completely :faint: and then I would have

Our FP time for Soarin’ had arrived, so we headed on over and got our ride on. This ride always makes me miss home. :guilty: Then we headed over to the Imagination Pavilion and rode on Figment. There was actually a bit of a line today. Usually we have always walked right on.

akepcot013.jpg

We played around with the computers and different games for awhile and then headed out. Waldo was really feeling bad, so he and TE decided to go back to the room for awhile.

The rest of us went in search of some lunch. Now I've been wanting to try the Tangierine Café since V posted pics of her yummy lunch last year and I know Andy and the kids would not enjoy the fare there. I had to come up with a plan to get us in that area at the right time.

I casually asked Andy if he wanted to take a Friendship over to Morocco and make our way through the right half of WS before calling it a day. He thought that was a great idea, so we did just that. As soon as we exited the boat, Maddie, as if on queue announced she was ready for lunch. Heh heh heh. That's my girl!:goodvibes

akepcot014.jpg

I mentioned that I'd love to try the CS in Morocco and that they could either go with Teriyaki bowls from Japan or head to the American Pavilion. The kids wanted chicken strips and hot dogs, so we split up and I took Evan with me to Tangierene and I got my food and then headed to America to meet up with Andy & Maddie.

We grabbed a table and had a lovely lunch in America. Surrounded by Italians. Huh? Yup, America was full of Italian tourists getting their burger on. :lmao:

We finished up and decided to visit the countries starting with Japan. Just as we arrived in Japan, Miyuki, the candy lady started her show. Maddie wanted to watch her show, so we stood for a few minutes and Maddie really wanted to be chosen, but I explained to her that she was chosen last year and that she should let another child have a turn. She pondered the thought and shoved her brother in front of her and said "Pick him,Candy Lady! He didn't get one last year!" OMG! Everyone chuckled and Miyuki winked at Maddie. ;)

We decided to pass and headed into Japan’s massive gift shop. I was looking for an umbrella for Maddie to keep her shoulders from burning. You know those lovely paper-ish umbrellas? Yeah, the ones that cost $35.00! Sorry Maddie, let’s slather some more sun block on your shoulders and be done with it. We left the store to find a sky full of overcast. Yay!:worship:

~CONTINUED IN NEXT POST~

I’ve always wanted to try the pastry shop in France, so we made that our next stop before heading out. I bought 4 different types of desserts for us all to share and that’s when we spied Princess Aurora wandering the gardens of France. And she had no line, to boot! :thumbsup2:

wdw8-25004.jpg

Maddie posed with Aurora and then Aurora asked Maddie who that was sleeping in the stroller. Apparently Evan has fallen asleep, and we had no idea. Aurora asked me if I thought he pricked his finger on a spinning wheel. Maddie cracked up! :lmao:

Right across the walkway, we spied a very short line for Belle. We’d already seen her in her yellow gown, so Maddie was excited to see her in her Blue peasant dress. We took photos here and then decided to jump back on the Friendship and head back to the resort to check on Waldo.

wdw8-25005.jpg

Before we left the park, we took advantage of the fact that Evan was asleep and headed into MouseGear for some shopping. He’s not a shopper and usually complains, so this was a perfect opportunity. We took some Epcot shots and then Maddie spied a Hidden Mickey.

akepcot017.jpg

akepcot016.jpg

We mostly browsed and then found this disturbing Minnie Mouse doll. She was dressed like a “lady of the evening” and hanging out in a bin full of smiling Mickey Mouse dolls.

akepcot018.jpg

Maddie wanted this doll, but when I said no she asked me to at least take a picture of her with it. I know, I'm a mean mom.

wdw8-25006.jpg

We left the park just as the thunder began. :thumbsup2

We got back to the room and Waldo was laying down, still feeling pretty bad. I asked if he wanted to skip dinner, but he was hungry and had been looking forward to trying Jiko for a while now.

We rested for a few hours and then we headed over to the bus stop and jumped on a bus to AK. Ok, I don’t know what I thinking when I decided that was our route because AK closed at 5pm – yup right when we pulled up there were hoards and hoards of people exiting the park. All the bus lines were completely overflowing, especially the AKL one. We got in line and waited – luckily with AKL being so close, the wait was minimal and we made to AKL in no time.

We headed down to find Simba’s Clubhouse. The plan was to drop the kids off and then the 4 of us would enjoy an adults only meal at Jiko. Evan had other plans. We arrived at Jiko and Maddie took off and started playing with a group of kids. Evan on the other hand was having nothing to do with the whole situation. No matter what I said he refused to stay. The CM’s encouraged me to just leave, but I refused to leave him there crying. Evan was a no go. Andy was not happy. TE and Waldo offered to take both the kids back to the room, but Maddie didn’t want to leave now.

We finally just decided to take Evan with us and luckily I had made reservations for 6 at Jiko, just in case. We kissed Maddie good-bye and off we went to Jiko.

wdw8-25007.jpg

We checked in and were seated immediately. The restaurant had a beautifully clam and serene feeling about it. I loved how it felt open and yet very cozy at the same time. Our server was very nice and addressed Evan as “Sir”. Evan naturally loved all the attention. We ordered a few appetizers; I’m not sure what TE & Waldo had, but Andy & I shared the Chefs Special flat bread. OMG. It was fantastic. There was spiced beef and goat cheese, some roasted peppers and these wonderful herbs. We were in heaven.

wdw8-25008.jpg

Evan ordered the fruit salad. He gave it a :thumbsup2. It must have been good, as he left a completely empty bowl.

wdw8-25009.jpg

wdw8-25011.jpg

Hey V, tell Leo they serve Fish Pizza at Jiko! :lmao:

We all decided to try something different, but when it came down to actually ordering, everyone ended up ordering the same thing! :lmao: We all ended up with the Filet and Mac and Cheese.

I have to admit, my favorite part of the meal was our appetizer and our dessert. We had the Tanzanian Chocolate cheesecake. Yum-OH!
Narcoossee’s is still numero uno in my book!

During our entire meal, there was complete down pour. I’m talking crazy rain! We were fortunate enough that it stopped just minutes before we left AKL. Andy and Evan went over to Simba’s to collect Maddie and Andy said they only charge us for Maddie, which I thought that was very nice of them.

We headed up to the lobby and walked around a bit. We soaked in the atmosphere and chatted about how awesome Kidani village is going to be. They had the huge firepit going and there was a parade of kids with instruments going around the lobby. It was a lot of fun watching the goings on.:cloud9:

We decided to call it a night and took a bus from AKL to DTD and then caught the boat back to SSR. Maddie chatted alllllll the way to DTD about her Simba’s Clubhouse stay… what a great dinner they had and she played with this girl and that girl and they did a puppet show and played with this and that… yadda, yadda, yadda. She talked so much she fell asleep mid-sentence. :lmao:

Waldo and TE walked the kids back to the room whilst Andy and I stopped at the Carriage house to pick up our packages and purchase some groceries. Back in the room we all showered and hopped in bed. Waldo was feeling really bad – I was beginning to really worry about him.

Tomorrow was Magic Kingdom Day and the kids were excited!

Up Next: Waldo needs medical attention … :guilty:

I hope Waldo got well soon. Oh and turkey hill is a convenience store. They also sell the ice cream in the grocery stores here in pa. They have some un believable favors.

August 26th ~ Magic Kingdom Day!

Here’s my Itinerary:

8:00 Bus to MK
9:00 Rope Drop
Ride Speedway
Ride Buzz, Stitch, MI:LF
Ride COP
10:30 Ride HM
See Philharmagic
11:30 Ride any must-do’s
1:00 Lunch at CP
3:30 Dis-Meet at Toon Town Station

Here’s what actually happened. And you will notice the plan got thrown out the window. ;)

We all woke up with little resistance. The nice thing about having such a large villa, is we didn’t have to worry about being too quiet in the morning. I had a feeling Waldo was worse, so I went over to their room and peeked in. TE was sitting in the chair reading. When she saw me – she shook her head. I knew Waldo was pretty bad. She said she was going to let him sleep in and they would catch up with us later. I told her not to worry about us – Andy & I could handle the kids in MK and to call me when Waldo woke up.

We got to the bus stop just as the flippin’ MK bus pulled away. We copped a squat and waited for the next one. By the time we got to MK it was 9:05 – we missed rope drop! We headed straight for the Speedway and faced a 15 minute wait already!

Whilst in line I spied these “magic shoes”! Man, I wished they made something like this for boys. :rolleyes1

wdw8-26001.jpg

wdw8-26002.jpg

Sheesh! I rode with Evan and OMG! I swear it was dreadfully painful! This is how our ride went:

BAM! Hahaha BAM! Hahaha!! BAM! Hahaha!! Darn it Evan! Cut it out! BAM! Hahaha! :rolleyes

wdw8-26003.jpg

The itinerary said we should now head over to Buzz, but Maddie really wanted to ride the Tea Party cups, so we headed over there. I spied a DT CM at the exit, but she had her eye on a particular cup. As soon as that family exited, she started talking to them and gave the little girls some pins and a certificate. Whew!

wdw8-26004.jpg

Next was Evan’s turn and he picked Peter Pan, so off to Neverland we went. Thankfully there was maybe a 5 minute wait. When we got off that, both kids really wanted to hit IASW next. They both really love that ride. Blah! As we got in line, a young girl pointed to my LGMH and then tapped her mom on the shoulder. The mother said she and daughter were both DISers, but I didn’t catch her name.

Hey doesn’t this child look like ….
wdw8-26005.jpg

THIS CHILD??:rotfl2:
WDW08006.jpg

As we exited the ride and started up the exit ramp, I spied more DT CM’s and they were passing out dreams!!! Whoo hoo! I was so excited. Until I saw what they were. More ears. Dude did they have over stock on those stinkin’ ears or what? Not that I didn’t appreciate them, but jeeze, throw a sister a Dream Fast Pass or something!

We tried to get back to the “plan” and hit up Philharmagic. Did you ever notice how most people try and get in that front position right in front of the doors thinking that they’ll score the best seats? And they then get all rude about it, maneuvering themselves right in the middle of the doors? I already know as soon as the doors open the CM’s tell you to move all the way down and if you’re first you’re going to get stuck all the way at the end. That is unless you plop yourself down in the row and make most people climb over you.:sad2:

When I say most people, I don’t mean me. You see a rather large man plopped himself and his family down right smack in the middle of our row. The couple in front of us, climbed over him, his wife, and his 3 children. Yeah, nice. But not me. I stood there and said, “Sir, can you please move down?” He refused and told me to go around him. Nope, no way. I told him there was no way I was going to climb over him and that he should really just get up. Again, he refused. So I did it. I climbed over him and stepped on both his feet. And no, I didn’t say sorry or excuse me or pardon me. Serves him right. As soon as we were over him, a CM came over and told him to get up and move all the way down as he had now created a nice HUGE bottleneck. Neener, neener, neener. Idiot. :snooty:

After the show, it was about time for Toon Town to open, so we made our way over there. Evan wanted to ride Barnstormer, since he’d missed riding with Leo a few days ago. We somehow convinced Maddie to ride as well and we soon were flying through Goofy’s barn. Stormer. Maddie loved it, and since there was no line, we rode it again. And then we rode it again. :thumbsup2

TE called and said she and Waldo were on the bus on their way to MK. Waldo hated staying in the room and really wanted to have fun with the kids, so he convinced my mother he was feeling better and they decided to meet up with us. I told her to jump on the train and meet us at Splash Mountain.

We jumped on the train at Toon Town and made our way over to Adventureland to wait for the parentals. The kids went and played at the little playground under the train station and Andy went and got us some FP’s for Splash for later.

Waldo and TE finally arrived and we grabbed them some FP’s for Splash as well and then we all headed over to the POTC. Maddie likes the WDW version much better as she refuses to ride the one in DLR. I think it’s the big drop at DLR that she dislikes.

Our ADR time for CP was coming up, so we decided to slowly make our way over there. It was blazing hot this day and we stopped in all the shops in Adventureland on the way to Main Street.

Bob? Who’s Bob?

We checked in a few minutes early and I was told they were running behind and that we would probably be seated around 20 minutes after our ADR which was for 1:00. We hung out on the porch under the fans trying in vain to cool down. They had a table out with cold water jugs to help with the heat.

One little boy was so hot, he stripped himself down to his diaper and pretty soon other children followed suit. There was an army of nekkid kids at CP, demanding chicken nuggets and a picture with Pooh! :lmao:
