I normally plan these things way ahead but last night hubby and I booked a last minute trip to WDW for next weekend. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Maingate West. We did not book any transpertation yet. We wil be comming in early friday morning right now the plan is to spend Friday at Sea World followed by Saturday at one or more of the Disney Parks haven't figured out what to do on Sunday yet but our flight to go home leaves about 6 pm. I know the hotel has a park shuttle. If we do that how do we get there from the airport or should I just try to get a cheap rental car???? Anybody know if the limo services run to the holiday in and how much???

I stayed at that hotel once. It's location is in Kissimmee on Rt. 192. There are shuttle services from the airport, such as Tiffany Town Car. Rental cars are very reasonably priced in Orlando also. Try for an on-site agency such as Dollar, Hertz or National for best convenience. Check out the Transportation Board for more info.

Most hotel shuttles to the parks are not great, as far as schedules. I never used the shuttle from the HI, I had a car. Sea World is about 10 miles away, give or take a few. Animal Kingdom is closest to your hotel.

I found the hotel staff nice but the room was awful, IMO. It was dingy, moldy smelling and had few ammenities (that other places offer for the same price or less). Plus, I hate 192. It's tacky, IMO. Some love it but I prefer locations in Lake Buena Vista instead. It's more convenient to get to ALL theme parks from there.

The hotel needs a reservation for the shuttle 24 hours in advance. I would get a car-It is worth it! They refused to let me check in one min. before three. (Later I was talking to a lady who got checked in @ 11:00AM-That made me REALY MAD!)Then the air conditioner was leaking, so the carpet started smelling, and I had to call three times! I got a good rate or I would have really complained. I only slept there or it would have been a BIGGER deal. I would probably not stay there again-many other good deals out there too, and I will try someone else before I go back to them.
