How to get the Gold Star Reward pin

I was in a host room a couple months ago and saw a person with the Gold Star pin. This person who shall remain nameless said, specifically, that he or she got the pin by helping Hula run a host game. Hula was not in the room at the time, in fact, no host was. This person also proceeded to tell everyone there that Hula had specifically asked him (or her) to run the game while she was out of the room and that he got his Gold Star pin by doing exactly that, helping Hula out in her room. Now, keep in mind that this person is NOT a CL. This person stood in the middle of the room telling everyone to move through the teleporters etc etc. Other non-CLs came in and said "I want to help too" to which this person replied "You can't, only I am allowed, I am in charge here" - they ignored him, as well they should have, and stood in the middle of the room doing exactly what he did. Through this time, he insinuated to many people thathe was a staff member, and in fact, several people reported him. After a time, Hula came back in the room and this person said "Hi Hula, I saw came in and saw that you were not here and decided to help out" - the others who were in the room said the same thing. Hula thanked the original person and then YELLED AT the others and booted them. (For the record, this entire time, I just stood in the doorway so I could not be seen and followed the conversations)

Moral of the story is, certain people can do whatever they want in VMK and they get a gold star pin for it. The rest of us get banned and yelled at for doing EXACTLY the same thing.

Hi everyone!

I personally think this topic is getting a bit out of hand. I think everyone needs to calm down with the host stalking jokes and host following ideas. The host do a lot for us in VMK, and they supple their time and patience for everyone who plays. I think we should all respect that. If you have been playing VMK since it started, and have known the hosts since then you don't think they would consider that person a friend by now? The host are not only people who give out prizes or run the host room, but they are people as well. Lets give them the props they deserve, and once in a while back off them and give them some breathing room and space. The Gold Star Reward pin is a reward that is not given out because someone helped out in a host room or because someone acted like a host, but is truely an award given out for someone who appreciates being kind and helping others. It has nothing to do with if it was awarded because a host seen this happening in a host room or outside a host room. The staff know who is kind and generous in the game. They know who help other people out all the time. Also, I do not know if this pin is even given out anymore. It was given out a couple times last year, but that is all I know of. Please don't continue to tear this topic apart, and lets talk about something more exciting like green month. Have a magical day all!
